Claims (6)
- An application apparatus for applying coating colour to a paper web, having- an application device, in particular in the form of an applicator roll (1) or a nozzle (8),- a counter-roll (4), around which the paper web (5) is wound and which with the application device (1, 8) forms an application zone,characterised in that- a measuring device is provided for measuring the thickness or the weight or the surface quality of the coating at several locations over the width of the paper web and- means (27; 24, 25; 70, 71) for the zone-by zone regulation of the temperature or of the consistency of the coating colour with respect to a coating profile which is uniform over the web width are located on the flow path from the coating colour inlet (21; 23) to the application zone at a certain distance in front of the application zone.
- An application apparatus according to Claim 1,
characterised in that- the application device is an applicator roll (1) which revolves in a coating colour basin (2),- a trough (3) for housing the basin (2) is provided, and- the trough (3) comprises a coating colour inlet and a deflecting wall provided in the ascending region of the applicator roll (1) with a first overflow edge (6) and also an overflow channel (7) for a first overflow stream connected thereto. - An application apparatus according to Claim 1 or 2,
characterised in that both an applicator roll (1) and also an applicator nozzle (8) are provided as application devices. - An application apparatus according to Claim 3,
characterised in that the applicator roll (1) is mounted in front of the applicator nozzle (8). - An application apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 4,
characterised in that the means mounted in front of the application zone consist of a plurality of heating devices (27; 70; 71, 72, 73) distributed over the machine width. - An application apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 5,
characterised in that the means mounted in front of the application zone consist of a plurality of controllable supply lines (24) for supplying media influencing the consistency, the viscosity, the temperature or the composition of the coating colour over the width.
