Definitions
- the invention relates to an actuator for a window or door fitting or the like, with an electric motor that drives an output element that can be coupled to the window or door fitting via a planetary gear, with a manually operable handling part that drives the output element independently of the electric motor, and with a carrier uniting the electric motor, the planetary gear, the output member and the handling part to form a structural unit, the planetary gear comprising the following components: an externally toothed sun gear, an internally toothed ring gear and at least one rotatably mounted on a planet gear carrier with the planet gear meshing with the sun gear and the ring gear.
- the actuator comprises, for example, a geared motor equipped with a planetary gear, the output shaft of which at the same time forms the pivot axis of the handle and with the Espagnolette system of the turn-tilt fitting is coupled.
- the reaction torque of the electric motor is conducted via the handle into a mounting plate attached to the sash frame of the window.
- a pin coupling that couples the handle to the fastening plate in a rotationally fixed manner must first be released by lifting the handle before the handle can be turned.
- a variant of an actuator integrated in a window handle for a window with a tilt and turn fitting is known from DE-A-39 15 569.
- an electric motor rotates a driven mandrel of the window handle via a spindle drive and a rack and pinion gear.
- the window handle which can be swiveled coaxially with the driven mandrel for manual actuation of the window fitting, is locked on the casement by means of a locking button for motor operation. Before the handle can be pivoted manually, the locking button must be actuated.
- the two actuators described above have in common that the handle provided for manual actuation must be unlocked before it can be operated.
- the unlocking process does not follow from the usual way of operating the handle, which can make handling more difficult in individual cases.
- the electric motors in both actuators are integrated in the handle, which is therefore comparatively large.
- the electromotive operation is the rule and manual operation, such as in emergency situations or a defect in the actuator, are the preferred actuators that are installed stationary on the window or door to let.
- the manually operated handling part should be as small or inconspicuous as possible.
- An actuator to be mounted stationary on the sash of a window or door is known from DE-A-38 24 531.
- a high-speed low-voltage electric motor drives a drive rod pinion of the window or door fitting via a multi-stage spur gear.
- a claw coupling is provided between the multi-stage spur gear and the drive rod pinion, via which the drive rod sprocket can be coupled from the multi-stage spur gear and with a hand lever.
- the hand lever must first be pressed before its pivoting movement acts on the drive rod pinion.
- this object is achieved according to the invention in that the components ring gear, sun gear and planet carrier are all rotatably mounted relative to one another and relative to the carrier part about a common axis of rotation, that the electric motor is in constant drive connection with a first of these components Handling part is in constant drive connection with a second of these components and a third of these components is in constant drive connection with the output member, that the first component is further coupled to a self-locking device which controls the drive connection between the electric motor and the first component for the Rotary drive blocked from the first component and that the second component can be blocked relative to the carrier part in a rest position of the handling part.
- Such an actuator is particularly suitable for applications in which the electromotive actuation of the window or door fitting is the rule and the manual actuation is the exception.
- the support part of the actuator carrying the electric motor can be firmly connected to the window or door, and the handling part can accordingly be made small and, if necessary, inconspicuous.
- no mechanical couplings such as claw couplings or the like, are provided, which particularly benefits the operational safety of the actuator comes and also facilitates the detection of end positions of the actuator.
- the absence of such switchable clutches in the drive path simplifies the design and allows the actuator to be constructed in a particularly compact manner, even when gearboxes with high gear ratios are used.
- the planetary gear is expediently designed as a reduction gear, at least for the drive path leading from the electric motor to the output member, in order to make do with a comparatively small electric motor.
- a planetary gear is preferred which has a reducing effect both in the drive connection of the electric motor and in the drive connection of the handling part.
- the output element is connected to the planet gear carrier in a drive connection. The construction is particularly used in the latter embodiment fold, when the electric motor is in drive connection with the ring gear and the handling part with the sun gear.
- the self-locking device acting in the actuator according to the invention on the drive connection of the electric motor ensures that the component of the planetary gear coupled to the electric motor automatically receives the reaction torque of the planetary gear during manual operation.
- the self-locking device can be a brake which is automatically released on the electric motor in the manner of a brake motor when the motor is switched on.
- Embodiments are simpler in which the electric motor is in drive connection with the planetary gear via a self-locking gear, in particular a self-locking worm gear.
- Such a gearbox can also be used to reduce the engine speed.
- the handling part is a crank which can be locked on the carrier part.
- the crank can be used directly to drive the planetary gear, in particular if it is mounted on the carrier part coaxially with the axis of rotation of the components of the planetary gear and acts on the component of the planetary gear assigned to its drive path without an additional intermediate gear.
- the crank comprises a base part rotatably mounted on the carrier part and a foldable handle part mounted on the base part, which in its rest position locks the base part in a rotationally fixed manner on the carrier part. If the handle part is folded about the folding axis from its rest position into the operating position, the reaction torque is simultaneously that in motor operation of the planetary gear locking mechanism released, which considerably simplifies the manual operation of the actuator.
- the handle part is designed as a crank arm articulated on the base part by means of a folding joint, which has at its end remote from the folding joint a handle pin which projects transversely to the folding axis and which, when the crank arm is at rest, points towards the housing protrudes and engages in a locking recess in the carrier part.
- the handle pin In the rest position, the handle pin is covered. The handle pin is only exposed when the crank arm is folded down for manual actuation of the actuator. At the same time and inevitably, the locking is thereby released.
- the second component of the planetary gear in the rest position of the handling part relative to the carrier part can also be blocked in that the second component is connected to the carrier part via a torque limiting device.
- the torque limiting device which can be, for example, a snap-in clutch or a slip clutch or the like, is dimensioned such that reaction torques originating from the electric motor are supported on the carrier part.
- a torque is exerted via the handling part which is above the limit value of the torque limiting device, with which the second component of the planetary gear can be rotated manually.
- the above variant not only has the advantage that it can be operated without special manipulation of the handling part, it also has the advantage that a handle element of the handling part can optionally be removed, so that unauthorized manual actuation of the actuator can be prevented.
- the planetary gear can be a single-stage gear, but preferably a plurality of planetary gear stages connected to one another are provided, each of which comprises as components an externally toothed sun gear, an internally toothed ring gear and a planet gear carrier, on which at least one with the sun gear and the ring gear meshing planet wheel is rotatably mounted.
- the electric motor and the handling part are in drive connection with the first planetary gear stage.
- the planet gear carrier of the first planetary gear stage forms the gear output of the gear stage, the planet gear carrier being expediently coupled directly to the sun gear of the subsequent, second planetary gear stage.
- the second planetary gear stage also has a step-down effect if, what is preferred, its planet gear carrier is directly coupled to the output element.
- a two-stage planetary gear of the construction explained above can be constructed particularly simply if the carrier part for receiving the planetary gear contains an essentially cylindrical chamber which is axially delimited by end walls.
- the sun gear of the first planetary gear stage and the handling part rotatably connected to this sun gear can then be rotatably mounted on a first of the end walls, while on a second of the end walls the planet gear carrier of the second planetary gear stage and the output gear rotatably connected to this planet gear carrier is rotatably mounted.
- the ring gear of the first planetary gear stage expediently additionally has an external connection for the drive connection to the electric motor.
- the sun gear of the second planetary gear stage is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the planet gear carrier of the first planetary gear stage.
- the planet gear carrier of the first gear stage can be rotatably mounted on a fixed intermediate wall of the chamber.
- a second aspect of the invention relates to an actuator of the type described at the outset, in which the electric motor and the handling part provided in particular for emergency operation act on the same component of the planetary gear.
- the second aspect of the invention it is the aim of the invention to provide an actuator for a window or door fitting which can be connected to the window or door in a stationary manner and yet can be operated very easily.
- the second aspect of the invention allows particularly simple actuator designs. For this purpose, it is provided that the electric motor and the handling part are in constant drive with a first of the components of the planetary gear.
- connection is established and the electric motor is coupled to a self-locking device which blocks the drive connection between the electric motor and the first component for the rotary drive from the first component.
- a second component of the planetary gear is locked in a rotationally fixed manner relative to the carrier part, and a third of the components of the planetary gear is in constant drive connection with the output element.
- a torque limiting device is additionally arranged in the drive path of the electric motor between the self-locking device and the first component of the planetary gear.
- the torque limiting device which can again be a snap-in clutch or a slip clutch or the like, transmits the drive torque of the electric motor to the first component of the planetary gear, in particular to its sun gear, which due to its central arrangement is particularly good for the manual one Drive is suitable.
- the self-locking device in this variant of the invention only has to apply an inhibiting torque which is above the limiting torque of the torque limiting device, and therefore does not have to be designed to be completely locking.
- the planetary gear ger advantageously forms the third component of the planetary gear which is in drive connection with the output member.
- the first component can be the ring gear, but expediently it is the sun gear.
- the self-locking device is again moves around a self-locking gear, especially a self-locking worm gear.
- Limit switches are generally assigned to the electric motor of an actuator of the type described at the beginning, by means of which limit switches the electric motor can be stopped in the end positions. It could be considered to have the limit switches actuated by the linkage of the window or door fitting to be moved by the actuator. However, such limit switches must be installed separately, and the accuracy with which the electric motor can be controlled via such limit switches also leaves much to be desired.
- the aim of the invention is to provide an actuator for a window or door fitting which, with a comparatively small amount of construction parts and a small space requirement, permits position detection of the actuator, in particular for the control of the electric motor.
- At least one control disc which is coupled in a rotationally fixed manner to the output element via a gear connection, is rotatably mounted on the carrier part, axially parallel to the output element, the circumference of which forms a cam track, and on the carrier part at least one assigned to the control disc, the cam track scanning control switch is arranged.
- the carrier part, the control disk and the control switch form a structural unit which can be adjusted precisely, in particular also to intermediate positions between the end positions of the output member. This is particularly important in the case of turn-tilt fittings, in which the servomotor is positioned in a tilt-open position in addition to a closed position and a rotational opening position - li ⁇ must be stopped.
- the gearwheel connection between the output member and the control disk can be dimensioned to be stepped down, so that even relatively small angles of rotation of the output member can be assigned large control disk rotation angles.
- the control disk can be arranged coaxially with the output element, but is preferably rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation arranged at a distance from the axis of rotation of the output element, in particular when a plurality of control elements which are arranged coaxially next to one another in the form of a stack are non-rotatably but releasably connected to one another discs are provided.
- the control disks for example indexable against each other, can be adjusted individually and in steps in this way according to the application.
- an external toothing can be provided directly on the output component of the planetary gear, for example on the planet gear carrier, which meshes, optionally via intermediate gears, with a gear provided in a rotationally fixed manner on the control disk stack.

- a worm gear 125 meshes with the worm 119, which, together with a spur gear 127, each rotatably rests on a common axle part 131 which is rotatably mounted in the gear base 21 and a cover part 129 of the gear base 121.
- an idler gear 133 Intermeshing with the spur gear 127 is an idler gear 133, which is rotatably mounted axially parallel to the axle part 131 on an axis 135 in the gear base 121 or the cover part 129.
- the intermediate gear 133 in turn drives the planetary gear 105 in a manner to be explained in more detail below.
- the planetary gear 105 comprises an internally toothed ring gear 137, which is non-rotatably and preferably integrally connected to the gear base 121, a coaxially arranged in the ring gear 137 sun gear 139 and three offset by 120 ° to each other, both with the ring gear 137 and the sun gear 139 meshing Planet gears 141, which in turn are rotatably supported on axle journals 143 of a planet gear carrier 145 rotatably mounted in the carrier part 101 coaxially with the sun gear 139.
- the drive mandrel 107 is located coaxially with the sun gear in the planetary gear carrier 145.
- a snap-in coupling 147 is arranged coaxially with the sun gear 139, the external toothed input ring 149 thereof, which can be rotated relative to the sun gear 139, with the intermediate gear following the worm gear 117 in the drive path of the electric motor 103 133 combs.
- Coaxial in the input ring 149 is one with the sun gear 139 rotatably connected driver part 151 is arranged, which is rotatably mounted with an extension 153 in the cover part 129 and is axially supported on the cover part 129 with an annular shoulder 155.
- the driver part 151 carries, distributed in the circumferential direction, a plurality of latching elements, for example balls 157, which are preloaded radially outward and which snap into associated latching recesses 159 on the inner circumference of the input ring 149.
- the locking clutch 147 can only transmit a limited torque from the input ring 149 to the driver part 151 and forms a safety clutch in the path of the electric motor 103 to the output mandrel 107.
- the hand crank 112 can be inserted into a polygonal opening 161 of the driver part 151 from the outside.
- the electric motor 103 drives the output mandrel 107.
- the torque of the electric motor 103 is transmitted to the sun gear 139 via the reduction gear 115, the worm gear 117, the gears 127, 133 via the snap-in coupling.
- the planet gears 141 supported on the ring gear 137 which is connected to the carrier part 101 in a rotationally fixed manner, transmit the torque to the planet gear carrier 145 and thus to the output mandrel 107.
- the planetary gear 105 has a reducing effect here.
- crank handle 112 which is normally removed to secure against unauthorized actuation of the actuator, is inserted into the polygonal opening 161.
- the sun gear 139 can now be rotated by hand for emergency operation, the torque applied in this way overcoming the locking clutch 147 and being conducted to the output mandrel 107 via the step-down planetary gear 105.
- control the electric motor 103 To control the electric motor 103 are the side of the Planetary gear 105 arranged on the carrier part 101, a plurality of control switches 163, which scan cam tracks 167 provided on the circumference of assigned control disks 165.
- the control disks are rotatably mounted coaxially on an axle 169 held parallel to the planetary gear 105 on the carrier part 101 and are connected to one another in a rotationally fixed manner relative to one another via index pins 171 or other indexing means with an angular position that can be changed in steps. In this way, the control disks 165 can be adjusted in their angular position relative to one another.
- a gear 173 which is rotatably coupled to the stack of the control disks 165, is mounted on the axle journal 169 and meshes via an intermediate gear 175 with an external toothing 177 provided on the circumference of the planet gear carrier.
- the control disk stack thus follows the rotational movement of the driven mandrel 107 in translation. Since more than two control disks 165 are provided, intermediate positions of the driven mandrel can also be detected, as are the case, for example, with tilt and turn fittings, which can be switched between a closed position, a tilted open position and a rotary open position . It goes without saying that the control switches 163 can also be used for further functions, for example for alarm functions in the event of unauthorized manual actuation of the actuator.
- the planetary gear 105 has only one gear stage. It goes without saying that multi-stage planetary gears can also be used.
- the drive torque of the electric motor 103 and the hand crank 112 can also be introduced into the ring gear 137, which is then rotatably mounted instead of into the sun gear 139 if, in return, the sun gear is blocked relative to the carrier part 101.
- control discs and control switches of the type explained above can also be used in the actuator of FIGS. 1 to 4, where the control disk stack can be driven either from the first gear stage or the second gear stage of the planetary gear.
