  • CH-505.969 relates to an automatic garage for vehicles comprising a plurality of rectangular cells arranged on either side of a circulation aisle comprising two rails on which a mobile vehicle transport trolley circulates.
  • Each cell is provided along its long sides with two series of vehicle wheel support bars, forming a comb whose teeth are turned towards the inside of the cell, and the mobile carriage is provided with two series of bars transport also forming a comb, the teeth of which are turned towards the outside of the carriage, said mobile carriage being able to penetrate inside each cell and then lower, so that the transport bars pass between the support bars and deposit the wheels of the vehicle transported on said support bars.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a mechanized installation for storing motor vehicles, the arrangement of the storage cells of which saves space and the loading and unloading of a vehicle in a cell takes place without maneuver additional to that of moving the vehicle transport trolley.
  • the carriage circulates on a circulation track forming a closed circuit provided with 2 longitudinal corridors and the cells are distributed on either side of each corridor so that the two rows arranged between the corridors are juxtaposed.
  • the number of parking spaces relative to the surface of such an installation is high because the surface of each level, used for storage, is equal to or greater than two thirds of the total surface of the levels.
  • each carriage moves on its own and the power required is therefore reduced to a minimum.
  • the loading and unloading operations therefore require only a vertical displacement over a short distance of the movable support which can advantageously be achieved by means of two jacks arranged vertically and fixed to the chassis of the carriages.
  • each elevator comprises a movable floor provided with lights capable of accommodating the horizontal bars of the fixed racks, and means for vertically moving the floor between a high position or it is in the plane racks, and a low position where it is retracted under the racks so as to be profiled with the circulation track of the level served.
