Fig. 7), die einen solchen Abstand voneinander aufweisen, daß sie bei in Fig. 5 in ihre Verriegelungsposition verstellten Schiebern 16 in die Fingerösen 19 eingreifen, so daß die Abdeckplatte 29 ein Entriegeln der Stirnwände 6 und damit ein Zusammenfalten des Kastens 100 verhindert, was in manchen Fällen gewünscht wird. Hingegen weist die Abdeckplatte 31 einen Längsschlitz 37 auf, der nach dem Aufsetzen der Abdeckplatte 31 auf die Verriegelung 9 den freien Zugang zu den Griffösen 19 und damit das gewünschte Verstellen der Schieber in die Entsperr- bzw. Verriegelungsposition gestattet. Box according to claim 1, characterised thereby that the catch (9) consists of two axially displaceable hinge pin slides (16) arranged in mirror image and that in the case of end walls (6) exceeding half the box length the one end wall is pivotable about the hinge pins (8) of the lower slide (16) detented in hinge eyes (22) of the base (2) and the other end wall is pivotable about the hinge pins (8) of the upper slide (16) detented in hinge eyes (22) of a head frame (13).
  3. Box according to claim 1 or 2, characterised thereby that the slides (16) have laterally protruding hinge pins (8) at their mutually remote ends.
  4. Box according to one or more of claims 2 to 3, characterised thereby that the slides (16) are arranged by a shank-like grip part (18) to be slidingly movable in a wall guide (17).
  5. Box according to one or more of claims 1 to 4, characterised thereby that the hinge pins (8) arranged to be laterally protruding at the slides (16) engage in their pin receptacles (bores) associated with the longitudinal walls (5).
  6. Box according to one or more of claims 1 to 5, characterised thereby that the grip parts (18) of the slides (16) are provided at their mutually facing ends with finger lugs (19).
  7. Box according to one or more of claims 1 to 6, characterised thereby that a cover (7) with forklike open hinge eyes (11) is placeable onto the hinge pins (8) from above.
  8. Box according to one or more of claims 1 to 7, characterised thereby that the base (2) or a base frame (3) and the head frame (13) are provided with supports (27) facing the end walls (6).
  9. Box according to one or more of claims 1 to 8, characterised thereby that the supports are constructed as outwardly open grip pockets (27).
  10. Box according to one or more of claims 1 to 9, characterised thereby that the hinge pin slides (16) are covered by a cap (29; 31).
  11. Box according to claim 10, characterised thereby that the cover caps (31) are provided with a longitudinal slot (37) leaving the finger lugs (19) free.
  12. Box according to claim 11, characterised thereby that the cover cap (29) engages by two inwardly disposed projections (36) into the finger lugs (19) which are spaced from one another in the latching position of the slides (16).
  13. Box according to one or more of claims 10 to 12, characterised thereby that the cover cap (29; 31) detents by detent projections (32) in a groove (33) of the end wall (6).
