Definitions
- the invention relates to a nail file with at least one file groove coated with sapphire.
- nail files e.g. B. those consist of metal.
- Nail files in which only the file sheet is made of metal, the file handle, are also very common but from a different material.
- the file sheet is made of metal, the work surface can be hewn. But it is also possible to achieve the desired surface roughness with a sapphire coating. The sapphire is then held in a nickel layer.
- nail files are known, the main body of which consists only of plastic. This was first chemically nickel-plated and then electroplated. During the latter process, the sapphire was bound in place, especially on the file groove. With such nail files, the entire surface is inevitably nickel-plated. However, this is not only complex, but also limits the possibilities of an attractive surface design.
- the file body is provided with a groove and the file groove is designed as an insert part made of nickel-plated plastic and adapted to the groove.
- the chemical and galvanic treatment of the nail file is now limited to the area of the file groove. While that area should continue to be made of plastic, another material can be selected for the rest of the file body. Depending on the material of the File body can be provided for its connection to the insert, for example, a simple press fit or a certain form fit, as well as gluing or welding, in particular by means of ultrasound.
- the solution according to the invention probably requires a certain amount of additional effort due to the separate production and connection of the insert and the rest of the file body.
- the insert part advantageously has a connecting web on its underside.
- the file groove must have a certain width for universal and convenient handling, the connecting web can be considerably narrower. Accordingly, only a relatively narrow groove is required.
- Such can also be provided in particular on a narrow side of the generally flat file body, while the broad sides remain free. For permanent attachment of the Different connecting methods come into consideration depending on the material combination.
- the insert or the connecting web is provided with lateral projections or recesses which cooperate with corresponding recesses or projections in the groove of the file body.
- the projections and recesses can be aligned and in particular arranged continuously so that the insert can be inserted axially into the groove or simply pressed in from above.
- a nail file according to the invention has a file body 1, which is divided into a file sheet 1 a and a file handle 1 b. On its narrow sides, the file sheet 1 a has a file groove 2 coated with sapphire, which according to the invention is designed as an initially loose insert.
- the insert part consists essentially of plastic and is nickel-plated in a conventional way to build up a sapphire coating.
- the insert part On its underside, the insert part has a continuous connecting web 3 of approximately rectangular or slightly trapezoidal cross section.
- This connecting web 3 is an elongated groove 4 on the narrow side of the file body 1, d. H. here the file sheet 1a is adapted so that it can be completely sunk into that groove 4 and permanently clamped therein (cf. upper half of FIG. 2).
- the connecting web 3 can be glued in the groove 4 of the file body 1.
- the file body 1 is also made of plastic, which is not nickel-plated or otherwise metallized. Rather, it is free for any other form of surface design. For the rest, completely different materials can also be used for the file body 1. - Finally, the above considerations, as they have been made for a nail file of a straight shape, also apply to other nail files, including those of a curved shape.

Abstract
Description
Darin zeigen:
- Fig. 1
- eine Nagelfeile von gerader Form in Seitenansicht,
- Fig. 2
