Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ski with a plate which is arranged on the ski body in the binding region and is connected in an articulated manner to ski-fixed bearings.
  • a ski is known in which a plate-shaped support element is held in bearing devices. Due to this mounting of the plate which holds the ski binding, the deformation of the ski is only opposed to a slight resistance, so that a harmonious course of tension and thus a continuous edge engagement over the entire edge length can be achieved. The property of the ski is therefore not adversely affected by the binding.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to develop a generic ski in such a way that the stiffness distribution or the surface pressure distribution in the area of the mounted ski binding can be set in a targeted manner.
  • This object is achieved based on a generic ski in that the plate is connected on one side via at least one pivot lever to a ski-fixed bearing and that the pivot lever can be acted upon by an adjustable spring force.
  • the adjustable spring force can be generated by means of a spiral spring arranged in the ski-fixed bearing and can be transmitted to the pivoting lever via a bolt.
  • a spiral spring arranged in the ski-fixed bearing and can be transmitted to the pivoting lever via a bolt.
  • another elastic element can also be used to generate the spring force.
  • the pre-tension of the coil spring can be changed continuously using a screw bolt, which can be adjusted by the skier with a suitable key.
  • the bolt with which the spring force is transmitted to the pivot lever can be made of a rigid material, but advantageously of an elastic material.
  • the plate can be profiled differently in the longitudinal direction, i.e. for example, have different widths so that they have different cross sections.
  • the ski-fixed bearings can be covered with covers to protect the respective joints from dirt.
  • the covers can advantageously at the same time Secure the hinge pin of the articulated mounting of the plate against falling out laterally.
  • the plate can be extended on one side up to approximately the shovel-shaped ski tip.
  • the extended part of the plate is mounted at its free end so as to be longitudinally displaceable and pivotable in a further bearing.
  • the invention finds a further advantageous embodiment in that at least in one of the bearings several bores are arranged one above the other for the possible accommodation of the bearing bolts, so that the plate can be adjusted to different heights. Due to the different installation heights of the plate, the resultant lengthening or shortening of the lever arm in relation to the ski edge can additionally influence the skiing properties.
  • a damping effect which improves the driving properties is achieved in that, according to a further embodiment of the invention, a rubber-elastic element is arranged between the plate and the surface of the ski body. This can optionally be glued to the surface of the ski.
  • the course of the stiffness distribution or the surface pressure distribution in a ski can advantageously be set continuously, depending on the desired driving characteristics.
  • the solution presented here provides a particularly easy-to-replace system, since after removing the bearing bolts, the plate, with the binding attached, can be removed from the ski and mounted on another ski.
  • Fig. 1 the diagram below the stylized ski shows with A the course of the stiffness distribution and with B the course of the surface pressure distribution over the length of the ski.
  • the load on the ski by the skier is indicated by the force vector F.
  • this diagram shows that the stiffening of the ski under the ski boot has a clearly discernible effect on the surface pressure distribution under the ski.
  • the surface pressure distribution below the ski in turn is important for the power transmission and thus for the steering behavior of the ski.
  • FIG. 2a the introduction of force in the binding area is shown by the diagram drawn over the ski boot.
  • the force is transferred to the ski in the binding area via the body weight or the load on the legs.
  • This surface force distribution can, as shown in Fig. 2b, by a resulting single force that is exactly in the binding mounting point, i.e. attacks in the middle of the ski binding area of the ski.
  • the surface pressure distribution of a ski on a rigid, level surface is directly proportional to the stiffness distribution.
  • This power transmission mechanism can be determined very easily with simple measuring methods.
  • the laws described above can be used specifically to influence the skiing properties of the ski.
  • FIGS. 4a, 4b, 5, 6a and 6b A first embodiment is explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 4a, 4b, 5, 6a and 6b.
  • two bearings 16, 18 are arranged in a stationary manner. These bearings can be made, for example, of reinforced thermoplastic, die-cast aluminum or milled aluminum parts.
  • the bearings 16 and 18 can be connected to the ski body by means of screw bolts.
  • a counterbore for receiving a screw bolt is designated 40.
  • a plate 12 is articulated.
  • the plate 12 can consist of aluminum or a sandwich structure made of fiber-reinforced composites with polyurethane cores, wood cores or honeycomb cores.
  • the plate 12 has corresponding coupling elements 14 and 14 'at its front and rear ends, respectively, which comprise corresponding through-bores for receiving securing bolts 20, 24.
  • the coupling element 14 ' is pivotally mounted in the bearing 16 via the securing bolt 20.
  • the securing bolt 20 is fixed before it falls out laterally by the cover 30 indicated by dashed lines in the drawings.
  • the cover 30 additionally protects the bearing 16 against contamination.
  • the coupling part 14 is, in particular, the 6b, fork-shaped.
  • a pivot lever 22 is mounted by means of the bolt 24 at its end facing the ski surface. At its end facing away from the ski surface, the pivot lever is supported in the bearing 18 by means of a bolt 26.
  • a cover 32 shown in broken lines in the drawing, is in turn placed over the bearing 18. This cover also serves to secure the bolts 24 and 26 from slipping out of the side.
  • the bearing 18 is partially shown in longitudinal section. Accordingly, a coil spring 34 acts via a bolt 38 opposite to the plate 12 on the pivot lever 22. The bias of the coil spring 34 is adjustable via the bolt 36.
  • the bolt 38 itself can in turn consist of an elastic material or of a rigid material. As a result, the spring characteristic of the overall system can be additionally influenced.
  • FIG. 8a and 8b show the possible deflection of the pivot lever 22 with a corresponding relative movement of the plate 12 relative to the ski body with a corresponding deflection of the ski body 10.
  • the length ratios of the swivel body 22 are to be selected such that a deflection is still possible even with the maximum possible ski deflection. Such a maximum deflection can be seen in FIG. 8b.
  • Fig. 8a shows the conditions when the ski is not loaded.
  • the deflection of the pivot lever 22 shown in FIG. 8b counteracts the spring force impressed by the spiral spring 34 and possibly by the bolt 38 made of elastic material of the deflection movement of the plate 12.
  • the diagram in FIG. 7 now shows the different ones Adjustment options for the ski according to the invention.
  • the diagram shows the bending stiffness, with curve E showing the bending stiffness for a ski with a free-moving plate.
  • the limit case here is that no spring force acts on the swivel lever.
  • Curve F shows the bending stiffness curve for a rigidly mounted plate 12, ie a plate 12 in which the pivot lever 22 is not movable. In this case, the spring force of the coil spring 34 would be very large.
  • any desired bending stiffness course can be achieved by appropriately selecting the spring force of the helical spring 34 used or adjusting the prestressing of the spring force via the screw bolt 36. This means that the skiing characteristics of the ski can be ideally adjusted to different slope conditions.
  • the plate 12 can be coupled to the ski by means of an elastic layer 28 so as to dampen shocks and vibrations that occur in the vertical direction.
  • the layer 28 can be glued to the ski body 10. However, the displacement of the plate 12 must still be guaranteed. Preferably, however, layer 28 will rest freely on the ski.
  • the elastic layer 28 also performs a sealing function between the ski body 10 and the plate 12.
  • the previously explained embodiment is modified in that the plate 12 is extended beyond the bearing 16 in the direction of the curved shovel-like ski tip 52. At the free end, the plate 12 is additionally supported in a longitudinally displaceable and pivotable manner by a bearing 54.
  • the structure of the bearing 54 can basically correspond to that of the bearing 18. Typical Bending stiffness curves for this embodiment are shown below the ski in FIG. 9. It is clear from this that the bending stiffness distribution in the area of the ski shovel can be changed again by means of corresponding adjusting elements in the bearing 54.
  • the plate 12 is installed upside down.
  • the end of the lever 22 'pointing towards the ski body is pivotably mounted in the bearing 16 via the bolt 26'.
  • the cover 30 of the bearing 16 is made higher.
  • the plate 12 is further away from the ski surface by the length of the pivot lever 22 '. This increases the distance and thereby the lever arm from the binding to the steel edge of the ski body 10.
  • a plate 12 which is rectangular in plan is used in each case.
  • the bending stiffness distribution in the bond area can also be influenced by the fact that the plate 12 has certain profiles or constrictions in its width, etc. This means that the cross section of the plate is varied in the longitudinal direction.
  • an interchangeable system in which a binding can be mounted on different skis very easily by correspondingly reassembling the plate. This is for example for Ski tests or also of particular interest for ski rental.
  • a binding can be mounted on different skis very easily by correspondingly reassembling the plate.
  • This is for example for Ski tests or also of particular interest for ski rental.
  • Advantages of this easily removable system also lie in the fact that the skis can be transported or stored more easily since the plate with binding can be easily dismantled in this case.
  • the stiffening in the binding area can be specifically adjusted and, for example, adjusted to the slope conditions or the skill of the respective skier.
  • the damping behavior in the ski binding area and thus the driving comfort can be improved.
  • the distance between the plate and the ski can be varied in a very simple manner, wherein, if necessary, a plurality of bores arranged one above the other for receiving the hinge pins can be arranged in the bearings 16 or 18.
