  1. Ventilation grid for insertion into a window frame, which grid comprises a frame with two horizontal profiles (1, 2) which are located in parallel at a distance apart from one another and each form, with a wall (4, 5) which adjoins them or forms a constituent part of them, a box-like space, which walls (4, 5) form, with their border (6, 8) facing the opposite profile (1, 2), a gap (9, 10) which continues virtually over the entire length, which gaps (9, 10) can be closed off by associated strips (11, 12) which have a joint operating mechanism (23), can both be displaced parallel to one another in opposite directions and are both provided with at least one rack (19, 20), parallel to the plane of the respective strips (11, 12) and to one another, and a gear wheel (21) being located between each set of racks (19, 20), which grid is provided with a screen (61) through which insects cannot penetrate, characterized in that the screen is a constituent part of, or is fitted in, a screen housing (60) which has borders or a surround, which borders or surround have/has a latch-in or push-on connection to at least one upper and/or outer border (62) of one horizontal profile (2) and to the lower border, or a border located on the outer side, of the other horizontal profile (1).
  2. Ventilation grid according to Claim 1, characterized in that the screen housing has a screen which is formed integrally with the surround.
