Definitions
- the invention relates to a vending machine according to the preamble of claim 1 (cf. US-A-2 968 518 and WO-A-8 600 161).
- the invention is therefore based on the object to remedy these shortcomings and to create a vending machine of the type described which is distinguished by its simple handling and its variability, which is relatively inexpensive and robust and which is also ideal for operation under extreme conditions Temperature conditions are suitable.
- each product plate is assembled with its own drive device on a plate carrier to form an operational unit and the cabinet has stacked brackets and line connections for supporting and powering the individual units. Since each unit is operational on its own, the vending machine can be equipped with any number of units depending on the size of the cabinet space and the number of brackets and thus adapt the capacity of the machine to the respective requirements, with the possibility of freely selectable compartment allocation per Unit remains fully intact.
- the unit consisting of a product plate and plate drive makes delicate and fault-prone drive connections unnecessary, so that there is a high level of operational reliability even in extreme conditions.
- the units to be used only in the prepared brackets can also be removed from the cabinet in a few simple steps, which makes filling the product compartments and cleaning the product plates much easier, and should one unit fail, the other units and thus the vending machine remain fully operational .
- the units could be controlled by a common control device, but it is particularly advantageous if each unit is assigned its own control unit for controlling the disk drive, so that the use of the units can be freely selected and the control device is also simple has the respective subject divisions coordinated. Despite this freedom in terms of arrangement and compartment division, the modules are ready for power supply immediately after being inserted into their assigned brackets and coupled to the line connections.
- control units could each be integrated in the associated structural unit, but it is usually more expedient to combine the control units and arrange them outside the magazine area, which on the one hand allows the control units to be accommodated in a protected manner and on the other hand the available installation space of the structural units is fully preserved for receiving goods .
- the cabinet has a control box in which receptacles and line connections for the control units are arranged one above the other corresponding to the holders for the structural units, control lines leading from the line connections of the receptacles to the line connections of the holders.
- the holders for the structural units and the receptacles for the control units are provided in the same order, the assignment of control units and structural units is not difficult, since the structural unit in one holder belongs to the control unit in the receptacle corresponding to this holder.
- the control lines between the receptacles and the associated brackets can be firmly laid from the start, which means that the control units or units are immediately connected to the respective line connections in addition to the power supply, the control connection is also established.
- brackets and receptacles form sliding guides for inserting the drawer-shaped units and control units and the units and control units have plug-in couplings for connecting the lines to the line connections, so that the insertion and removal of the unit and control units as needed is made by simply pushing in or pulling out can be carried out and at the same time such a pushing in or pulling out the line connection comes about or is interrupted.
- suitable pull-out locks can be provided which allow the structural units to be pulled out into a fixed pull-out position and thus offer filling and cleaning of the product plates without the need for complete removal from the cabinet.
- the units can be removed from the cabinet at any time by releasing the pull-out locks for retrofitting or maintenance work.
- each structural unit has the associated removal opening even in a cover wall of the plate carrier covering the removal side of the goods plate and that the cabinet is provided with a removal door which is common to all removal openings and extends over the height of the row of brackets, preferably in there is a front door that opens the entire closet.
- a removal door which is common to all removal openings and extends over the height of the row of brackets, preferably in there is a front door that opens the entire closet.
- Necessary and known cabinets can be equipped as vending machines without much additional effort.
- a smaller removal door is advantageously located in a correspondingly large front door, which removal door can be unlocked automatically for the removal of goods and which front door can be opened solely for the operating and maintenance personnel independently of the machine operation.
- Intermediate walls of different heights can be inserted into the product plate, the wall height preferably being matched to one or more times the row spacing of the holders, and the plate carriers preferably have two parts, the height and size of their removal opening being adaptable to the intermediate walls and the compartment division Cover walls, it is possible not only to change the compartment division of the goods plates, but also the compartment height, which however reduces the number of usable units accordingly. For example, instead of two or three units with a smaller compartment height, units with two or three times the compartment height can be used, which makes the vending machine suitable for a wide variety of goods.
- the cabinet forms a storage room below the goods magazine, a filling of the machine can be kept in stock here, which simplifies the maintenance of the machine and allows easy replenishment of the goods magazine.
- the machine can be operated without difficulty even in freezing temperatures, and the cabinet is designed as a freezer and can be combined with an additional cabinet that accommodates a microwave unit, creating an entire catering station, for example for Supply of small and medium-sized companies, in which frozen foods are offered and prepared as required when serving.
- FIG. 1 shows a vending machine according to the invention in a partially sectioned front view
- FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section through the cabinet space of this vending machine on a larger scale.
- the vending machine 1 consists of a cupboard, for example a freezer 2, on which on one side a control box 3 and on the other side preferably an additional cupboard 4 with a microwave unit 5 and a waste box 6 are attached.
- the cabinet 2 is accessible through a front door 7 and accommodates a goods magazine 8, which is composed of individual units 9.
- Each assembly consists of a sector-shaped goods compartment 10 forming goods plate 11, which rotatably supports a stub shaft 12 of a drawer-shaped plate carrier 13.
- Each assembly 9 is further equipped with its own drive device 14, which comprises an electric motor 15, a corresponding gear 16 and a pinion 17 meshing with a ring gear 18 of the product plate 11.
- brackets 19 are provided one above the other in the cabinet 2, into which brackets 19 designed as sliding guides the plate carriers 13 can be inserted.
- the brackets 19 are each assigned to line connections 20 and the assemblies 9 have prepared plug-in couplings 21, so that when the assemblies 9 are inserted into the brackets 19, a line connection for energy supply and control pulse transmission and the like is also provided.
- a line connection for energy supply and control pulse transmission and the like is also provided.
- each structural unit 9 is assigned its own control unit 22, which control units 22 are arranged one above the other in a row in the switch box 3 adapted to the modular unit row in the cabinet, for which purpose slide guide-type receptacles 23 arranged one above the other in the switch box 3 the control units 22 are provided.
- line connections are preinstalled in a manner not shown in more detail, and the control units 22 are equipped with plug-in couplings, so that moving the control units simultaneously establishes a line contact or interrupts the line contact.
- the line connections ensure a line connection on the one hand with a central electrical supply unit 24 and on the other hand for a line connection between the individual control units 22 and the line connections 20 for the structural units 9, so that the disk drive of the associated structural units 9 can be controlled via the control units 22.
- the product plates 11 are provided with corresponding product compartments 10, for which purpose partition walls 25 are inserted into latching recesses 26 which are distributed uniformly around the circumference. Due to the large number of recesses 26 different compartments can be made and the individual compartments can be adapted to the respective goods.
- a removal opening 27 is provided in each structural unit 9, which is formed by cover walls 28 on the front that cover the goods compartments on the removal side. These removal openings 27 each lie one below the other and are accessible through a common removal door 29 which extends over the entire height of the row of brackets and which is itself located in the front door 7.
- a structural unit 9a can be provided with intermediate walls 25a and cover walls 28a which are approximately twice as high as the other structural units, the removal opening 27a of course being matched to the respective compartment division is, so that larger goods can be offered as desired in addition to smaller goods.
- this unit 9a Due to the double height, this unit 9a takes up the space of two smaller units 9, so that correspondingly fewer, but different height units can be used.
- the product plates can thus be freely selected with regard to their compartment division and their compartment height, only the associated control units 22 having to be coordinated with the different compartment divisions.
- the equipment and retrofitting of the goods magazine 8 with building units of different goods compartments is possible at any time and can be carried out by exchanging the building units or adjusting the control units and changing or replacing the intermediate and cover walls in a few steps without the use of tools.
- the control buttons 30 designed as light-emitting diodes flash, which are arranged directly on the control units 22 and can be actuated through openings 31 in the control box door 32.
- the customer knows which goods are actually being offered for sale. Now the amount of money shown on the information boards is to be inserted into the coin machine 34, whereupon All goods that can be bought with this amount of money are identified by a permanent light display of the corresponding control buttons 30. The remaining lamps go out and the customer selects the desired goods by pressing one of the illuminated control buttons 30.
- the corresponding control unit 22 is used to control the corresponding structural unit 9, the existing goods plate lock is released there and the drive device 14 is caused to rotate the goods plate 11 about a goods compartment in relation to the removal opening 27.
- a filled goods compartment lies behind the removal opening 27 and the goods can be removed after the door lock controlled by the control device, preferably a door magnet 35, has been released and the removal door 29 has been opened. Since it is ensured that only the selected compartment behind the removal openings is always filled with goods, but all other removal openings accessible through the removal door 29 present empty compartments, no misuse can occur.
- the spring-loaded removal door 29 closes, whereby the amount of money thrown in is automatically debited and the machine is ready for the next sale.
- control buttons 30 are set to flashing light again, which also makes it possible here, for example, to display an empty goods plate by darkening the control button.
- the operating personnel need only open the front door 7 of the vending machine 1 and the one having the empty product plate Pull assembly 9 out of the brackets 19.
- the product plate is freely accessible from above and the product compartments 10 can be filled quickly and without difficulty.
- goods can be stored in stock in a storage space 38 which is left underneath the goods magazine 8 in order to facilitate refilling and do not have to take fresh goods with them each time.
- the assembly 9 is pushed back into the holders 19, whereby the power supply and control connection are established automatically via the line connections 20 and the plug-in couplings 21, and after checking or resetting the compartment counters, which also takes place simultaneously with the insertion of the structural units or by a corresponding switch in the control unit, this structural unit is again ready for operation.
- the vending machine 1 is characterized by its rational handling and the great variability of its range of goods, it is immune to malfunctions and failsafe due to the modular design of its goods magazine 8 and its control device and is therefore particularly suitable as a vending machine for frozen goods.
