Definitions

  • the invention relates to a quick-action clamping device for tools of hot forging presses, with two opposite cassettes, which enclose a die installation space between them, a base holder part fastened to the machine tappet or the like being arranged on the upper side of the upper cassette, while one on the machine body is arranged on the underside of the lower cassette , base holder part fastened to a machine table or the like is releasably assigned, with clamping elements for releasably fastening the base holder base part and the base part lower part to the assigned cassette.
  • the invention relates to a method for changing a quick release device.
  • the parts of the quick-action clamping device are unhindered from contamination by scale, dust or the like, so that a corresponding cleaning only has to be carried out when changing the tool, which further extends the set-up times.
  • the DD-PS 2 41 027 makes a quick clamping system for tool holder plates on roller slides in Cross rolling machines previously known by means of T-shaped clamping elements, which can be relaxed via spring-loaded pressure pistons from the first pressure cylinders arranged in the roller carriages and are mounted in T-shaped grooves on the rear of the tool holder plates, the grooves being arranged in several rows, and in that the first pressure cylinders are connected via a pressure line are connected to a second pressure cylinder arranged laterally on the roller carriage, the spring-loaded pressure piston of tool holder plates is operatively connected to a spring-loaded pressure piston of a third pressure cylinder fastened to the machine stand.
  • a further quick clamping system for tool holder plates on rolling slides of cross rolling machines by means of spring-loaded, pressure-releasable T-shaped clamping elements is known, the T-shaped grooves being mounted on the back of the tool holder plates in such a way that the grooves are arranged in several rows are, two step-shaped relaxation elements are mounted on or in the rolling slides along or transversely to the rolling direction and the relaxing elements are attached to the machine stand on the one hand with the outside of the rolling slide area
  • the working cylinders are in operative connection when changing the tool holder plate and that the expansion elements are in active connection with the clamping elements.
  • DE-A 2 544 711 discloses a quick-action clamping tool for presses, with all the elements required for centering, moving, locking, clamping and releasing being firmly installed in the basic tool, the centering of the tools to be retracted when entering the basic tool, the loosening the tools by tightening the hydraulic cylinders, locking and clamping by loosening the hydraulic cylinders and during the first press stroke or after loosening the hydraulic cylinders with the press ram in the lowest position, automatically and if necessary by adjusting the upper centering strips in the lowest position of the press ram and after releasing the tool clamping, the length and lateral offset can be compensated.
  • the removable plate can be on two, three or four sides, one or more spring wedges acting by spring pressure on each side, over the inclined clamping surface.
  • This known quick-action clamping tool is further characterized in that above and if the clamping wedges are installed in the lower and lower part of the tool holder at the front and the tools to be installed are placed in the tool holder of the lower part of the tool holder from above, the centering of the exchangeable plates is also carried out longitudinally using the centering strips installed in the basic tool and laterally and in the receptacle on all four sides of the tool, between the exchangeable plate and the tool holder, there is space to accommodate different expansion due to different heating of the exchangeable plate and the tool holder and to offset lengthways and laterally enable.
  • the lower removable plate in the lower part of the tool holder is attached via a side centering bar and locking wedges that attach the removable plate to the contact surface after releasing the hydraulic cylinder press, centered. Only one hydraulic cylinder is required in the lower part of the tool holder and one in the upper part of the tool holder, regardless of the number of clamping wedges and locking wedges. The function of the hydraulic cylinder can also be replaced by tightening or loosening a screw connection.
  • a so-called "real quick-action clamping tool” is to be created, namely in that clamping wedges acting by spring force and locking wedges acting by spring force for locking the lower interchangeable plate are used.
  • the tensioning and locking wedges are retracted using hydraulic cylinders. After loosening the clamping and locking wedges, the press ram is moved to the top position and the tools can be changed.
  • the tools are retracted, roughly pre-centered on the bevels on the basic tool and on the removable plates, then the lower removable plate is centered laterally on center bars, the upper removable plate is centered lengthways and laterally.
  • the invention has for its object to improve a quick release device of the prerequisite in such a way that the installation space for tools is significantly increased and that significantly shorter set-up times are possible.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a method for changing a quick release device.
  • the object relating to the method is achieved by the features set out in claim 4 .
  • the two cassettes can be arranged in a very compact, ie space-saving, manner with one another with the base holder upper part and the base holder lower part. This opens up the possibility of optimally protecting the space between the upper part of the basic holder and the cassette assigned to it on the one hand and between the lower part of the basic holder and the cassette located below on the other hand against dirt.
  • the set-up times can be reduced to, for example, one third to one fifth of the previous set-up times for comparable quick-action clamping devices. Since according to the invention the entire table or ram surface can be covered by the cassettes, an optimal arrangement and adaptability of the guides to the respective requirements is possible.
  • a quick-action clamping device is compact, since the basic holder upper part and the basic holder lower part are each arranged between the U-shaped legs of the associated cassette, the connection being made via clamping elements in the basic holder part, which engage in the horizontal direction in the legs of the U-shaped cassette part .
  • the quick release device can be easily placed or pushed onto the relevant roller conveyors in the machine by a forklift, a crane or a lifting truck. This enables a quick change. This was not the case with previous designs because the quick-release device had to be lifted above rails and tensioning strips and placed precisely. This also results in a more stable guidance of the cassettes and therefore lower die costs. A die guide can be dispensed with.
  • a further advantageous embodiment of the invention is described in claim 3 .
  • the device which is itself provided with roller conveyors, is pushed against the machine.
  • the roller conveyors of the change carriage intended as an assembly aid are provided on the same level and, after lifting the roller conveyors (hydraulically), are aligned with the roller conveyors arranged on the base holder base, so that the quick-release device can be pushed off the change carriage onto the machine and brought into the clamping position. If such a quick-action clamping device is to be replaced, it can either be pulled out onto a trolley on the same side of the machine.
  • a procedure according to claim 4 enables the device to be pushed further through the machine or pulled out, so that alternately a new quick release device can be pushed onto the roller tracks of the base holder base from the other side.
  • a pivotable stop can be provided on the opposite side in order to prevent the respective quick-release device from being pushed too far. This stop can also serve as a centering aid.
  • the relevant U-leg of the cassette is designed as an exchangeable strip part. This makes it possible to unscrew these strips in the event of a fault.
  • the base holder base is encapsulated by an apron attached to the back and front of the cassette against contamination.
  • the roller conveyors are hydraulically height-adjustable in the base holder part and can also be locked at the desired height. This allows the roller conveyors to be set to the desired level, for example to the level of roller conveyors of an interchangeable car on which the quick-change device to be changed can be transported away or another quick-action device can also be brought up.
  • clamping elements in the basic holder
  • vertical access means that these clamping elements, i.e. clamping wedges such as cylinders and springs, can also be accommodated in the press table.
  • the receptacles for the clamping wedges i.e. cylinders and their guides, are fastened in corresponding receptacles by means of clamping screws arranged vertically with their longitudinal axes.
  • Claim 9 describes a further advantageous embodiment, in which the receptacles for the clamping elements are arranged in corresponding exceptions of the press table and are detachably fastened by screws to be arranged vertically.
  • Reference numeral 1 denotes the stand of a hot forging press, not shown in detail, which has a space for the arrangement of a quick-action clamping device 2, which is illustrated in the drawing for the sake of simplicity of illustration without tools.
  • the quick-action clamping device 2 essentially has two cassettes 3 and 4 which are U-shaped in the end view and which are of the same size and design in the illustrated embodiments.
  • the cassettes 3 and 4 each have a web-shaped part 5 and 6, with which clamping strips 7, 8 and 9, 10 designed in the manner of U-legs are integrally connected in material terms.
  • the cassettes 3 and 4 are made of steel.
  • the U-legs 7, 8 on the one hand and the U-legs 9, 10 on the other hand are offset from one another by 180 degrees, that is to say are directed away from one another.
  • the U-legs 7 and 8 point upwards, while the U-legs 9 and 10 point downwards to a support table 11 of the stand 1.
  • the reference numeral 60 designates three transport supports and 61 a transport bracket. As can be seen from FIG. 2, one of these transport supports 60 is arranged on an end face as a mirror image of the longitudinal axis of the quick release device 2, while on the opposite side of the quick release device is only one such transport supports. This results in a safe three-point suspension and support.
  • the quick-release device 2 can be lifted and transported, for example with a forklift in the transport bracket 61 between the surfaces of the cassette 4 and the web-shaped part 5 next to the transport supports 60.
  • the lower part is also lifted and transported by the upper part. It would also be possible to accomplish the transport with cylindrical bores in the end face of the lower cassette 4 and bolts in the plate of the forklift, not shown. Then no transport tabs 61 would be required.
  • the transport of the tensioning device is not limited to the manner just described. Other modes of transport are also possible.
  • the cassettes 3 and 4 each have a die installation space 12 or 13 of the same size in the embodiment shown, in which the tools (not shown) are arranged in each case.
  • the die installation spaces 12 and 13 are arranged coaxially to one another.
  • the center line of the quick release device is designated by reference numeral 14.
  • a basic holder upper part 15 is arranged between the strip-shaped U-legs 7 and 8 and a basic holder lower part 16 is arranged between the strip-shaped U-legs 9 and 10.
  • Basic holder upper part 15 and basic holder lower part 16 are likewise of the same size in the illustrated embodiments, but can also be dimensioned differently.
  • a transverse axis running orthogonal to the center line 14 is designated by the reference symbol 17.
  • Both the basic holder upper part 15 and the basic holder lower part 16 are in their end regions by two pairs or also a plurality of clamping wedges 18, 19 or 20, 21 as well as 22, 23 or 24, 25 with the clamping strips 7, 8 or 9 To lock 10 releasably.
  • the clamping wedges are designed and arranged, for example, like the clamping wedges 18, 19.
  • Each of the tensioning wedges 18 to 25 is under the tensioning force of a spring element designed as plate springs in the illustrated embodiments, of which only the spring elements 26 and 27 can be seen from FIGS. 4 and 5.
  • 4 shows a clamping wedge for the base holder lower part 16, specifically the right front clamping wedge shown in FIG. 3.
  • the reference numeral 25 of the wedge behind it has been added.
  • the opposite clamping wedges 22 and 24 are designed accordingly.
  • the plate springs 26, 27 are in the embodiments shown in the drawing for all clamping wedges 18 to 25 of the same size and dimension.
  • the plate springs 26, 27 are thus supported on all clamping wedges 18 to 25 against an inner, in the axial direction of the plate springs 26, 27 against an adjustable abutment stopper, with the abutment stopper 28 only for reasons of simplicity in FIGS. 4 and 5 have been provided with reference numerals.
  • the abutment plugs 28 each have a pin projecting in the direction of the associated clamping wedges 18 to 25, again only the pins 29 and 30 being provided with reference numerals in the drawing.
  • the pegs 29 and 30 and all other pegs are made in one piece with the respective associated abutment plug and, like the clamping wedges 18 to 25, are preferably made of steel.
  • the abutment plug 28 has a plate-shaped part, which is provided on its outer circumference with threads 31 and 32, with which the abutment plug 28 is screwed detachably into a corresponding internal thread of a bore 33 and 34, respectively.
  • the pins 29 and 30 guide the associated plate spring 26 and 27 over part of their axial length and center them with respect to the bore 33 and 34, respectively.
  • the plate springs 26 and 27 and, of course, for all other tensioning wedges not particularly marked in the drawing from the associated clamping wedge, for example from the clamping wedge 23 (FIGS. 5 and 4) encompassed in a sleeve-like manner with a length section 35 or 36 which is integrally connected in terms of material to the assigned clamping wedge, for example 18, 20 or 23, 25 .
  • the displacement of the clamping wedge 18 to 25 is limited in the illustrated embodiments by the associated abutment plug, for example 28 by a stop.
  • the length section 35 or 36 is provided with a piston-shaped thickening 37 or 38, each of which has an annular groove 39 or 40 for a sealing element 41 or 42.
  • Reference numbers 43 and 44 denote a connection bore in a cylinder 62 through which a suitable pressure medium, for example hydraulic fluid, can be supplied to a space 45 under pressure medium pressure.
  • This space 45 is sealed on the one hand by the sealing element 41, 42 and on the opposite side by a further sealing element 46 or 47 in a pressure-tight manner.
  • it is possible to move all of the clamping wedges 18 to 25, for example simultaneously and synchronously against the restoring force of the associated spring elements 26, 27 in the direction of the abutment plug 28, and thereby the base holder part 15 on the one hand and the base holder part 16 on the other hand to unlock the associated cassette 3 or 4.
  • the clamping wedges Due to manufacturing tolerances in the clamping wedges and clamping pockets, the clamping wedges penetrate the clamping pockets at different depths a. Because the spring force is progressive, different spring pressures are created. The clamping wedge with the lowest spring force and friction is moved first. At the beginning of the wedge movement, the static friction must first be overcome. As a rule, the clamping wedges do not move completely evenly, but this has no influence on the function of the clamping tool. An absolutely even synchronous movement could only be achieved with a flow divider on the hydraulic unit. It would also be possible to take separate partial delivery flows directly at the control mirror or head tube, which have the same basic properties (delivery pressure, delivery speed and delivery quantity) and would thus enable the wedges to move synchronously.
  • the upper part 15 of the basic holder and the lower part 16 of the basic holder are arranged in their installed position for the most part between the clamping bars 7 and 8 or 9, 10 of the cassettes 3 and 4.
  • the basic holder lower part 16 is provided with two roller tracks 48, 49 arranged symmetrically to the center line 14, which can be aligned with the same roller tracks 50 and 51 of an interchangeable carriage 52 when an interchangeable carriage 52 is pushed against the roller conveyor 48 and 49 from one end of the hot forging press .
  • the change carriage 52 is arranged to be movable on the floor by means of a frame 53 and rollers 54.
  • a stop is arranged on the base holder lower part 16 or on the hot forging press.
  • the stop 55 can be designed to be folded away. For the rest, the stop 55 protrudes orthogonally to the surface 56 of the base holder lower part 16, so that a quick-release device 2 brought up on the change carriage 52 from the roller conveyors 50, 51 of the change carriage 52 onto the Roller conveyors 48 and 49 of the base holder lower part 16 can be pushed on and pushed into the hot forging press against the stop 55.
  • the stop 55 thus simultaneously represents a securing and centering means.
  • the clamping wedges 18 to 25 can be brought into the locking position shown in FIG. 3 by removing the pressure medium pressure and by simultaneously releasing the associated spring elements 26 and 27.
  • a new quick-action clamping device 2 is brought up on the change carriage 52, consisting of the two cassettes and the basic holder upper part and the tools.
  • the quick clamping device 2 located in the hot forging press is released by appropriate pressurization of the clamping wedges 18 to 25, whereupon the quick clamping device 2, which is no longer required, is pushed by folding away the stop 55 on the opposite side to the approached new quick clamping device 2 onto an interchangeable carriage (not shown) arranged there , whereupon from the other
  • the new quick release device 2 resting on the change carriage 52 is pushed onto the roller conveyors 48, 49 and then locked in the manner described. This can be done in a few minutes, for example in less than 5 minutes.
  • Another possibility of changing the tool is that first an empty change carriage 52 is brought into alignment with the roller conveyors 48, 49, whereupon after releasing the clamping wedges 18 to 25, the quick-action clamping device 2 is pulled out of the hot forging press onto the roller conveyor 50, 51 and then transported away , whereupon a new quick-action clamping device 2 is moved up to the hot forging press via a change carriage 52 and is then pushed onto the roller conveyors 48, 49.
  • the quick-release devices can also be changed by means of a forklift, a hoist or the like. In no case, however, is it necessary to lift the quick release device 2 over centering strips or the like.
  • a sealing apron 57 or 58 is connected to the lower cassette 3, specifically on each end face, as a result of which incidence of dust, scale and the like between the cassette 4 and the base holder part 16 is excluded. As a result, cleaning no longer needs to be carried out when changing the quick-action clamping device 2, or the effort for cleaning is considerably reduced compared to conventional tools.
  • the clamping takes place from the inside to the outside via the clamping wedges 18 to 25, there is a larger die installation space 12, 13.
  • the cassettes 3, 4 are stably guided, which is associated with lower die costs.
  • the clamping wedges 18 to 25 are each arranged in a detachable receptacle 63, each of which is in a lateral recess, for example a milling, of the Basic holder lower part 16 (Fig. 5) are arranged flush with the side surfaces.
  • the receptacles 63 are each detachably connected to the base holder lower part 16 by screws running vertically with their axes.
  • three screws 64 and 65 respectively, arranged one behind the other, have been shown on both sides of the longitudinal center axis of the relevant clamping wedges 23 and 25 (FIG. 7).

  • the cylinder could be mounted horizontally in the ram, but only in the press table as shown in FIGS. 5 to 6, since it is not possible to make a lateral bore because of the press stands available.
  • the clamping strip in question is detachably coupled to the cassette 4 by a plurality of screws 59 arranged in parallel and at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the associated cassette, for example 4.
  • These U-legs 7, 8 and 9, 10, which are designed as tensioning strips, can also be unscrewed in the event of a malfunction, so that there is easy lateral access.
