Definitions

  • the invention relates to a mattress with a base plate and one or more foam support plates arranged on the base plate and a cover enveloping all the plates.
  • a type-like mattress is described in EP 378 109 A1, the base plate being designed as a cushion core and having a recess into which further cushion bodies can be inserted.
  • the invention has for its object to propose an inexpensive mattress while maintaining the ergonomic, physiological and washing advantages.
  • a mattress which is characterized by the following two properties, namely a low maximum pressure and a high support factor.
  • a low maximum pressure is important for an unhindered Blood flow.
  • the size of the support factor indicates how far the lumbar region is supported by the spring properties of the lying system compared to the buttocks region.
  • a high support factor is desirable from a biomechanical and orthopedic point of view to protect the spine and intervertebral discs, while a low maximum pressure reduces circulatory disorders.
  • a mattress adapted to these requirements should also have a certain supporting effect in the edge area when sitting on the side of the bed. All of these requirements are met by the mattress according to the invention, which is constructed from simple plates, namely a base plate which has a high compression hardness.
  • the compression hardness is given in KPa (kilopascal), whereby a KPa corresponds approximately to a weight of one kilo per 100 cm 2 area.
  • the compression hardness thus represents the compressive stress that arises when a standardized test specimen is compressed depending on the deformation path.
  • the mattress according to the invention therefore fulfills all the requirements to be placed on a mattress, namely the advantages of a hard mattress for orthopedically correct lying are combined with the advantages of a soft mattress for comfortable tissue-relieving lying.
  • a mattress which is made of a base plate 1, for example made of polyurethane foam or hollow fibers.
  • the Base plate 1 has a tube punch 4 and a circumferential edge area 7, which is equipped without such a tube punch 4, so that a higher strength is already achieved in the edge area 7.
  • the climatic channels adapted to the body regions, which are formed by the tube punching, run vertically through the base plate 1 with a diameter of 10 mm.
  • a compressed fiber core construction can also be provided, with both plates being based on a high density of 40 to 60 kg / m 3 and a high compression height.
  • a first support plate 2 On the base plate 1, a first support plate 2 is placed, which has repeat cuts 6, whereby the support plate 2 made of foam can be glued in a punctiform or dashed manner on its underside.
  • the adhesive dots are applied in a grid dimension, whereby the individual dots can be 10 to 70 mm apart.
  • perforations can also be provided.
  • the entire edge area for example 5 cm wide, is sprayed over the entire area with an adhesive, so that a clean, well-adhering edge is produced.
  • a support plate 3 is placed on the support plate 2, which also has punch cuts 6 which are arranged in a repeat manner.
  • an elastic, air-permeable protective cover can be seen, which is designed as a supple tricot cover to protect the mattress core and padding.
  • the extreme elasticity of the material ensures that the precisely graded elasticity behavior of the mattress for spine-appropriate lying and comfortable lying comfort is retained without restriction.
  • the open fabric structure takes account of the concerns of climate regulation.
  • This structure is covered by a cover, which can be designed as a cushion cover.
  • the point-elastic padding made of repeat-punched foam is z. B. 20 mm thick, extends the sinking path of the body and is the icing on the cake for lying comfort.
  • the elastic cover fabric made of cotton knitted terry cloth, which is firmly attached to the cushion insert with wide quilting seams, adapts perfectly to the elasticity of the mattress core.
  • a fiber made of 80% cotton and 20% polyester guarantees a very good exchange of heat and moisture and is skin-friendly.
  • the upholstery cover is provided with a continuous zipper on three sides. He can lose weight and can be easily washed in the washing machine. Given the long lifespan of the mattress, this is a particular advantage that always guarantees optimal hygiene.
  • the edge regions 11 of the support plates 2 and 3 are also designed without punch cuts, so that the supports here have a higher resistance than in the central region.
  • This structure ensures that the edge area of the mattress is made harder than the central lying area and thereby enables a safe sitting on the edge.
  • the base plate 1 has a relatively high compression hardness between 40 and 60 KPa, while the upper support plate 3 has a very soft compression hardness which is between 8 and 30 KPa.
  • the middle support plate 2 has a compression hardness that is between 25 and 50 KPa, so that from the bottom upwards a decreasing compression hardness is guaranteed.
  • support plates 2 and 3 are shown as foam sheets with die cuts, it is of course also possible to produce one or the other support plate 2 or 3 from a cushion of cushion filler sticks which belong to the prior art.
  • a different structure of the support plates 2 and 3 can also be selected, all of the fillers that are part of the prior art today such uses can also be used here.
  • the support plates can also consist of high-density nonwovens, which are also provided with a repeat punching, with highly elastic fibers being used as fibers.
  • the basic structure described above leads to a mattress that has a high support factor and is therefore suitable from a biomechanical and orthopedic point of view to protect the spine and intervertebral disc, while at the same time guaranteeing a low maximum pressure to ensure unimpeded circulation.
