Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for pouring into a receptacle, flat objects in particular folds out of a sorting machine in which the folds are routed arranged vertically in buckets and released above the device.
  • each fold whose destination has been previously recognized is arranged vertically in a bucket.
  • the buckets are conveyed in a carousel and their bottom is open above the appropriate outlet to release each fold.
  • the folds are stacked flat or stored on edge in a mobile bin or in a fixed box.
  • the folds are stacked flat in trays. These outputs are particularly bulky.
  • the output bins must be dimensioned in accordance with the maximum dimensions of the folds treated.
  • the folds are arranged on edge.
  • two outputs in a box being able to be arranged for example in place of a single output in a container.
  • only the maximum length of the treated folds is to be taken into account to size the receptacle receiving the sorted folds.
  • the dumping device must therefore receive the vertical fold and guide it so that it reaches its edge in the receptacle, where the folds must be stored satisfactorily.
  • This guiding must be carried out perfectly whatever the stiffness of the fold, which can be a relatively flexible simple mail or a relatively rigid prospectus and whatever the material constituting the envelope of the fold which can be of various nature, in particular paper or a plastic film.
  • Document JP-A-58011463 discloses a device for dumping and storing on edge in a receptacle for flat objects, suitable for being used for folds at the outlet of a sorting machine in which the folds are conveyed arranged vertically in buckets and released above the device.
  • This device comprises a main guide surface inclined at a certain angle to the vertical plane, a receptacle inclined at a certain angle to the horizontal plane, a pallet disposed downstream of the main guide surface, the pallet having a surface for deflecting and holding flat objects at the outlet from the main guide surface and being movable from an initial position where its lower edge is parallel and close to the wall of the receptacle, to a final position where it is distant from said wall .
  • the main guide surface is oriented downwards and the deflection and holding surface of the pallet is oriented upwards.
  • a flat object leaves the main guide surface, it is deflected by the pallet.
  • it moves on the main guide surface and the bypass and holding surface of the pallet without changing the bearing face, its back for example.
  • the subject of the invention is a device for pouring and storing on edge in a receptacle for flat objects as defined in claim 1.
  • the main guide surface deflects the fold from its initial vertical position to an inclined position and the pallet brakes and stabilizes this fold at first.
  • the pallet in the initial position is slightly inclined with respect to the vertical plane along which the flat object descends at the outlet of the bucket.
  • the device can comprise a secondary surface substantially parallel to the main surface and forming with it a passage slot for the flat object and the main surface can simply consist of a static sliding surface. with a low coefficient of friction, the main surface as well as the secondary surface can be equipped with a conveyor belt.
  • the pallet is articulated at its upper edge around a horizontal pivot axis.
  • This arrangement is advantageous in the case where the number of folds sorted for this destination is relatively limited. Indeed the fact that the box is not filled, does not interfere with the withdrawal of the folds out of the box.
  • This kind of receptacle also saves space, we can generally put at least two boxes in place of a single removable tray.
  • this assembly is pivoted step by step thanks to a motor.
  • the horizontal pivot axis of the assembly is the upper drive axis of the conveyor belt of the main surface.
  • the pallet is retractable upwards.
  • the pallet has a lower edge shaped to ensure crossing with the bottom of the cooperating receptacle.
  • Figure 1 is a front view of two alternative embodiments of the device according to the invention and fitted to a sorting machine.
  • Figure 2 is a front view of devices according to the invention, one being in the initial storage position and the other in the final position.
  • the folds 3 are conveyed in buckets 4 moving in a carousel on rails. At the opening of the retractable bottom of the bucket 4, the fold falls vertically by gravity along the plane P-P.
  • the first variant A will first be described.
  • This surface 5 comprises a main guide surface 5 inclined at an angle ⁇ equal to substantially 30 ° relative to the plane P-P.
  • This surface 5 is equipped with a conveyor belt driven by rollers 11, 12, the upper roller 11 being actuated in rotation by a motor 13 by means of an endless belt 14.
  • a secondary surface 6 is arranged parallel to the surface main 5 and is also equipped with a conveyor belt driven by rollers 15, 16 and actuated in rotation by the same motor 13 thanks to an arrangement of belts and return pulleys. Thus the fold is pinched between these two surfaces 5, 6.
  • a pallet 7 for deflection and holding is placed downstream of the guide path thus produced.
  • This pallet 7 is slightly inclined for example by 5 ° relative to the plane P-P.
  • This pallet 7 is retractable by translation upwards thanks to a conventional arrangement of pulleys and toothed motorized belts.
  • the tank 1 is placed on a base inclined at an angle ⁇ equal for example to 30 ° relative to the horizontal plane.
  • the folds are stored there on edge parallel to the wall 1 'of the tray 1.
  • the set of main 5 and secondary 6 surfaces, pallet 7 and associated drive arrangements is fixed to a rigid structure essentially consisting of front and rear walls and is movable by pivoting about a horizontal articulation axis 9 which is preferably the axis of the upper roller 11 of the conveyor belt of the main surface 5.
  • This pivoting is carried out step by step thanks to a motor 10 by means of a known arrangement, for example with screw and nut.
  • the assembly is moved as a function of the progression of the stack of plies in the bin 1.
  • the extreme positions are detected by mechanical limit switches 17 and 18 (FIG. 2) allowing the device to stop when the bin is full and preventing the unloading of folds. They are fixed to the frame of the sorting machine and cooperate with a part fixed to the device A.
  • a sensor 19 (FIG. 2) is arranged on the left side of the pallet 7 to detect the absence of free space between the pallet 7 and the stack of plies and to control the stepwise movement of the assembly in order to recreate at new free space allowing the arrival of the following folds.
  • the second variant B of simpler constitution is intended for storage on edge in a fixed box 2 of smaller dimension.
  • the main guide surface 5, inclined at an angle ⁇ about 40 ° relative to the PP plane, is equipped with a conveyor belt driven on rollers 11, 12 and actuated in rotation by the motor 13 by means of a belt 14 '.
  • the latter also actuates a conveyor belt equipping the secondary surface 6 which is in this case limited to the line of contact of the second band with the first where the fold is pinched and driven.
  • a pallet 7 is arranged downstream of the main surface 5 and is freely articulated at its upper edge around a horizontal axis 8 fixed on the supporting structure also fixed conveyor belts.
  • Box 2 is fixed to the sorting machine, inclined at an angle ⁇ of about 30 ° relative to the horizontal plane.
  • the vertical fold released from the bucket 4 is therefore driven along the main surface 5 and then abuts against the pallet 7 where it is deflected to come and line up on its edge in the box on any folds already stacked.
  • the pallet 7 which can be urged by a return spring, moves during the formation of the vertical stack by pushing the folds stored against its face 7 ''. During this movement, the pallet 7 comes into contact with a sensor which detects the filling of box 2 and which suspends the arrival of the folds in this box until the latter is emptied by an operator.
  • Figure 2 is a schematic view showing the essential elements of the first variant A of the device according to the invention. According to this figure, the device on the left is in the initial filling position, the container being empty and the device on the right in the final position, where the container is filled.
  • the pallet 7 In the initial position, the pallet 7 has its lower edge 7 ′ parallel to and close to the base of the lowest wall 1 ′ of the tank 1 and in the final position, the pallet 7 is close to the wall 1 'most high of tray 1 or even in abutment against it.
  • the lower edge 7 ′ of the pallet can have a comb shape which ensures its crossing with the bottom of the tank 1 or of box 2.
  • the bottom of this these have slots through which the teeth of the comb pass.
  • the same arrangement can be used in the case of tray 1, but preferably, its bottom has ribs between which the teeth of the comb pass and thus the tray 1 keeps a closed bottom.
  • the device without a secondary surface, the main surface 5 ensuring only the guiding of the fold 3 towards the pallet 7 where it is braked, stabilized and deflected.
  • the device in its variant A or B, with a main surface 5 which is static and has a low coefficient of friction.
