Definitions

  • the invention relates to a connecting piece for supplying or extracting dry air or the like supply or extraction medium to a bore of a bitumen layer or the like outer or upper layer of a wall, a ceiling or the like part of a building, in particular a flat roof, with a connecting pipe with its one End region can be inserted into the bore and leads to an insulation layer located under the outer or upper layer, the connecting pipe having an outwardly projecting connecting part for connecting a gas hose or similar hose line and being sealed against the outside of the bore in the use position.
  • dry air can be supplied, for example, to an insulation layer located under the screed, which has become moist after the entry of water and is to be dried out by means of the dry or warm air guided through the pipe.
  • this known connecting piece can hardly be used where the layer receiving the piece in a corresponding bore is comparatively thin-walled or flexible.
  • the compressed sealing ring may not find enough resistance to keep the connecting piece sufficiently tight and tight. This is the case, for example, with flat roof constructions in which there is another separate insulation layer under an upper, comparatively thin bitumen layer.
  • connection piece which is as versatile as possible in the most varied of application areas and which can be used in a time-saving manner and with little effort, for example also in the bore of a comparatively thin-walled and / or flexible outer layer, and can be securely fixed there.
  • connection piece of the type mentioned at the outset is that the connecting pipe has a self-tapping external thread on the tube circumference of its end region which can be inserted into the bore and / or a non-rotatably held and radially projecting slotted disc with an open on the outside of the disc, towards the inside of the disc has curved or spiral slot and that the slotted disc and / or the connecting tube in the area of the external thread has an outside diameter which is at least partially larger than the inside diameter of the bore.
  • the connecting pipe of the connecting piece according to the invention has a self-tapping external thread on the pipe circumference of its end region which can be inserted into the bore and which has an outside diameter which is at least in some areas larger than the inside diameter of the bore machined into the building part.
  • the connecting pipe can be inserted into the bore and fixed therein by screwing or rotating movements, the external thread cutting into the bore at least in some areas. If the connecting pipe is anchored or screwed into the part of the building to be dried, the external thread provides it at the same time for a good seal between the connecting piece according to the invention and the bore machined into the part of the building.
  • the connecting piece can thus also be incorporated into those flat roofs in which, for example, the outer insulating or bituminous layer is firmly connected to a comparatively thin insulating layer made of foamed polystyrene underneath, under which there may be a thicker layer of glass wool or similar insulating material.
  • the connecting pipe of the connecting piece according to the invention can also have a slotted disk which is held in a rotationally fixed manner and protrudes radially at the end region which can be inserted into the bore.
  • This slotted pane can be screwed into a corresponding hole provided, for example, in the bitumen layer of a flat roof, with its slit which is open on the outside of the pane and which is curved or spiraled in the direction of the inside of the pane. If the slotted pane has penetrated this upper or outer layer of the flat roof, the slotted pane can, for example, be fixed between the thin bitumen layer and an insulation layer underneath and the connecting piece according to the invention can be securely and firmly anchored in this way.
  • a further development of the connecting piece according to the invention provides that on the side of the slotted disc and / or the external thread facing away from the end that can be inserted into the bore, a counter or sealing plate is provided on the connecting tube, which has an outer diameter that is at least partially larger than the clear diameter of the bore and that the counter plate on the connecting pipe is displaceable and fixable relative to the end region having the self-tapping external thread and / or relative to the slotted disc.
  • a thin upper bitumen layer can be clamped after the slot disk has penetrated into the hole provided in the bitumen layer or the like between the slot disk and the counter plate also held on the connecting pipe.
  • the counter plate and the slotted disc are at least partially larger than the bore receiving the connecting pipe.
  • the counter plate also favors a particularly good seal and a firm anchoring of the connecting piece according to the invention if the corresponding end region of the connecting pipe is screwed into the bore with the aid of the self-tapping external thread. This external thread can first be screwed firmly into the bore, in order to then seal the bore with respect to the connecting piece by moving the counterplate onto the upper layer and fixing it in this sliding position.
  • the end region of the connecting tube which can be inserted into the bore tapers conically towards its free end in the region of the self-tapping external thread .
  • the slotted disc is held between the end region of the connecting pipe which has the external thread and the counterplate.
  • slotted disc consists of flexible material, preferably of plastic material.
  • a slotted disc made of flexible material can be screwed into the bore of the upper or outer layer with little effort, but it can then also lay flat and accordingly close to the inside of this outer or upper layer.
  • the slotted disk is designed as a separate annular disk, the ring opening of which is penetrated by the connecting tube and if the slotted disk is secured to the end face that can be inserted into the bore by means of at least one retaining stop on the connecting tube.
  • a separate slotted disc favors the low outlay associated with the manufacture and handling of the connecting piece according to the invention.
  • a stop which is arranged on the side of the slotted disc facing the end region of the connecting tube which can be inserted into the bore secures the latter sufficiently on the connecting piece, for example in order to clamp the bitumen layer between the slotted disc and the counterplate.
  • the slotted disc is arranged on the end region of the connecting pipe that can be inserted into the bore, preferably between two holding stops, which are in particular spaced apart from one another, and is thus held captively on the connecting piece.
  • the slotted disc is pre-shaped in the manner of a spring ring and that the slotted disc tip formed by the curved or spiral-shaped slit on the outside of the slice protrudes towards or protrudes towards the end of the connecting pipe which can be inserted into the bore this survives.
  • the slotted disc thus has a screw thread-like shape from the outset, with the protruding or protruding slotted disc tip can be easily inserted into the corresponding hole in the bitumen layer or the like.
  • the counterplate is designed as an annular disc , which is displaceably held on the connecting pipe and whose ring opening is penetrated by the connecting pipe.
  • a simple and advantageous embodiment according to the invention is that the counter plate can be fixed relative to the slotted disc and / or against the self-tapping external thread by means of a clamping nut which is axially adjustable on an external thread provided on the pipe circumference of the connecting pipe. It is expedient if the area of the connecting pipe facing away from the end that can be inserted into the bore has an outer circumference that is at least in some areas larger than the inside diameter of the internal thread of the nut. In such an embodiment, the nut can be held axially adjustable, but cannot be lost, on the connecting piece if the slotted disc is secured to the end area opposite the thickened area of the connecting pipe; this favors the ease of handling of the connection piece according to the invention.
  • the simple handling of the connecting piece is further favored if the clamping nut has a greatly enlarged outer diameter compared to the connecting pipe and is designed as a turning handle.
  • an embodiment of its own protection worthy of protection provides that an additional or inner pipe is axially displaceably guided in the connecting pipe, the outer diameter of which corresponds to the clear inner diameter of the connecting pipe and that the additional pipe is free over both Extends ends of the connecting pipe, the end of the additional pipe facing away from the bore being designed as a connecting part for the connection of the gas hose and the end region of the additional pipe which can be inserted into the bore having at least one supply and / or suction opening.
  • the water contained in a completely wet insulation layer can be sucked off or dry air can be blown into the possibly even deeper insulation layers.
  • the additional or inner tube which is displaceably guided in the connecting pipe therefore favors the versatility of the connecting piece according to the invention.
  • the supply and / or suction opening (s) are provided on the pipe circumference of the additional pipe which projects beyond the connecting pipe and if the end region which can be inserted into the bore is preferably sealed gas-tight at the end.
  • a larger layer width of the wetted insulation layers can be processed via such feed or suction openings, in particular if these feed or suction openings are distributed in the axial longitudinal direction of the additional pipe over its circumference.
  • Figures 1 and 2 show a connecting piece 1 for supplying or for extracting dry air or the like supply or or extraction medium at a bore of a bitumen layer or the like outer or upper layer of a flat roof or the like part of a building.
  • the connection piece 1 has a connection pipe 2, which can be inserted into the bore with its one end region 3 and leads to an insulation layer located under the outer or upper layer, which has become damp after the entry of water and by means of the through the connection piece 1 supplied dry or warm air should be dried out.
  • the end region 4 which is opposite the end of the connecting pipe 2 which can be inserted into the bore and projects outwards serves for the connection of a gas hose or similar hose line (not shown here) as a connecting part.
  • the connecting piece 1 carries a slotted disc 5, which is held on the tube circumference of the connecting tube 2 in a rotationally fixed and radially projecting manner.
  • the slotted disc 5 is made of flexible plastic material and is preformed in the manner of a spring washer such that the slotted disc tip 9 formed by the curved slot 6 and arranged on the outside of the disc 7 projects over the adjacent end region 3 of the connecting pipe 2 in a relieved state.
  • the slotted disc 5 is arranged on the connecting pipe 2 between two holding stops 10, 11, which each engage in a groove 12, 13 provided on the circumference of the connecting pipe 2. These grooves 12, 13 are arranged at a greater distance from one another than the thickness of the slotted disc 5, which is adapted to the thickness of the bitumen layer penetrating the slotted disc 5.
  • the holding stops 10, 11 are designed as locking rings. Instead of such circlips, however, other shaft locks can also be used, which secure the slotted disc arranged between them against uncontrolled axial displacement on the connecting pipe. For example, it can be advantageous to design at least the stop 11 facing the end region 3 as a snap ring.
  • a rotation lock which could consist, for example, of a locking bolt or similar locking projection which engages in a corresponding recess on the inside 8 of the slotted disc 5 and fills the axial distance between the groove 12 and the groove 13, the slotted disc 5 held in rotation on the connecting pipe 2.
  • the slotted disc 5 can be screwed into a hole at its slotted disc tip 9, which has a smaller outer diameter than the slotted disc 5 and was previously worked into, for example, a comparatively thin and flexible outer bitumen layer of a flat roof.
  • the twisting and screwing of the connecting piece 1 into the corresponding hole of the outwardly projecting end portion 4 serves as a handle.
  • a counter plate 14 in the form of an annular disk, between which and the slotted disk 5 the outer bitumen layer can be clamped.
  • This counter plate 14 is slidably held on the connecting pipe 2, so that the distance between the slotted disc 5 and counter plate 14 can be adapted to the thickness of the outer or upper bitumen layer clamped in between and optionally reduced or enlarged.
  • the corresponding relative position of these connecting piece parts 5, 14 can be determined by means of a clamping nut 15, which is axially adjustable on an external thread 16 provided on the pipe circumference of the connecting pipe.
  • the internal thread 17 of the clamping nut 15 and the external thread 16 are designed to be self-locking, which favors the fixing of the tensioned mounting position of the slotted disc 5 and the counter plate 14.
  • the clamping nut 15 also has a greatly enlarged outer diameter in relation to the connecting pipe 2 and is designed as a turning handle by means of knurling provided on its circumference - not shown here. Since the area 4 of the connecting pipe 2 facing away from the end area 3 that can be inserted into the bore has an outer circumference that is at least partially larger than the clear diameter of the internal thread 17 of the nut 15, the clamping nut 15 and the connecting piece parts arranged between it and the slotted disk 5 on the connecting pipe 2 held practically captive on the connector 1. By removing the slotted disc 5 and its holding stops 10, 11, these nozzle parts can be removed from the connecting pipe 2 and, for example, replaced.
  • the clamping nut 15 acts on the counter plate 14 on its side facing away from the slotted disc 5 by means of a stop ring 18, which is designed here as a separate intermediate piece and surrounds the connecting pipe 2.
  • This stop ring 18 has one opposite the nut 15 and the counter plate 14 much smaller outer circumference, which further promotes the good manageability of the connecting piece 1.
  • a separate sealing ring 19 is pushed onto the connecting pipe 2, which can be inserted into a shape-matched flat-side depression 20 in the counter plate 14. If the clamping nut 15 is turned in the direction of the end region 3 of the connecting pipe 2, the counterplate 14 acts on the bitumen layer clamped between it and the slotted disc 5 by means of this sealing ring 19.
  • the connecting piece shown here is inserted with its one end region 3 into a corresponding hole which was previously worked into the bitumen layer.
  • the connecting piece 1 with the slotted disk tip 9 of its slotted disk 5 held in a rotationally fixed manner at the end area 3 can be screwed into the bore, the opposite end area 4 serving as a handle.
  • the outer layer of bitumen penetrates the curved slot 6 of the slot disk 5 and comes to rest on its flat side facing the counterplate 14.
  • the counterplate 14 By subsequently turning the clamping nut 15, which is axially adjustable on the external thread 16 of the connecting pipe 2, in the direction of the end region 3, the counterplate 14 is also displaced in this direction and clamps the bitumen layer between itself and the slotted disc 5. Since the counter plate 14 presses the sealing ring 19 located between it and the bitumen layer on the outside against this outer bitumen layer, the connecting pipe is additionally sealed off from the outside of the bore. Since the bore has an inside diameter that is larger than the outside diameter of the connecting pipe 2 should be, but is in any case smaller than the outside diameter of the slotted disc 5 and counterplate 14, these connecting piece parts 5, 14 cover this edge region of the bitumen layer surrounding the bore well.
  • the slotted disc 5 is preformed from flexible plastic material in the manner of a spring ring; in the mutually braced position of the slotted disc 5 and the counter plate 14, the slotted disc - as is clear from FIG. 2 - practically lies flat on the surface which it acts on.
  • the connecting piece 1 can thus be used with little effort in the bore of a thin-walled and / or resilient outer layer of a part of the building and fixed there sufficiently securely to dry air into the under via a hose line attacking the outwardly projecting end region 4, not shown here to introduce damp insulation layer located on the outer layer.
  • the connecting piece can also be unscrewed from the bore of the bitumen layer in a corresponding, widely spaced relative position of the slotted disc 5 and counter plate 14 as soon as the drying process is completed is.
  • connection piece 1 can be anchored sufficiently tightly and firmly in the outer bitumen layer of the flat roof, so that additional screw connections of the piece 1 and also application of bitumen or tar material into a possibly gap between the nozzle and the bore can be dispensed with.
  • the outer bitumen layer or the like upper layer is firmly connected to an underlying, comparatively thin first insulating layer made of foamed polystyrene, under which there can be another insulating layer made of glass wool.
  • first insulating layer made of foamed polystyrene
  • the slotted disc 5 of the connecting piece 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 can be screwed into the two upper, firmly connected layers only with difficulty.
  • Even a connecting piece according to DE-PS 37 20 993.0, the sealing ring of which can be expanded radially, may not be able to be used here easily, since the expanded sealing ring does not find sufficient hold in the two interconnected upper layers.
  • the connecting piece 23 shown in FIG. 3 is provided.
  • the connecting piece 23 can also be inserted with the one end region 3 of its connecting pipe 2 into the bore, which was previously worked into the individual layers of a soaked part of the building.
  • this has a self-tapping external thread 24 on the tube circumference of its end region 3 which can be inserted into the bore.
  • the end region 3 of the connecting pipe 2 is conically tapered towards its free end in the region of the self-tapping external thread 24, the connecting pipe 2 in the region of the external thread 24 having a larger outside diameter in some areas than the inside diameter of the bore. In this way, the connecting pipe 2 can be tight and tight with the help of the self-tapping external thread 24 are screwed into the hole and a corresponding internal thread cuts into the edge region of the adjacent layers of the building part delimiting the hole.
  • a counter or sealing plate 14 is provided on the connecting tube 2, which has an outer diameter that is at least partially larger than the inside diameter of the bore and also via that self-tapping external thread 24 of the connecting pipe 2 protrudes radially.

  • the counterplate 14 is shifted onto the upper bitumen layer 25 and fixed in this shifting position by means of the clamping nut 15.
  • the counterplate 14 not only forms a radially protruding holding plate resting on the bitumen layer 25, but rather seals the bore area well by means of the sealing ring 19 provided between it and the self-tapping external thread 24.
  • the connecting piece 26 shown in FIGS. 4 and 7 has the essential features of both the connecting piece 1, 23 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and the one shown in FIG. 3 and is accordingly versatile.
  • the connecting piece 26 also has a self-tapping external thread 24 which begins at the free end 3 of its connecting tube 2, the end region 3 of the connecting tube 2 having the external thread 24 likewise tapering conically towards the free end.
