Description

The invention relates to a cladding for frames of windows, doors or the like., With retaining strips projecting from the frame side of a profile wall of a cladding profile for fastening to the frame, and with cladding profile pieces connecting corner angles.

In the known cladding, the corners are produced by gluing the corner brackets to the cladding profile pieces. A prerequisite for good durability of the cladding corners is careful working when gluing and also pre-cleaning the cladding profile pieces to be connected. The use of plenty of adhesive ensures a secure connection of the cladding profile pieces, but increases the risk of contamination in the corner area. The risk of contamination can be reduced by sparing use of adhesive, but at the risk of reduced durability of the connected cladding profile pieces.

From NL-A-70 14 895 a frame profile composed of profile pieces is known, the profile pieces of which are connected to one another at corner angles, a section running perpendicular to the profile outer wall having a notch which engages in a recess in a corner angle leg. The corner bracket is cuboid and fills a central hollow chamber of the frame profile to ensure the required connection strength.

The invention has for its object to improve a panel with the features mentioned so that a durable connection of the panel profile pieces is achieved with little manufacturing effort, without having to accept a risk of contamination as in the case of gluing.

This object is achieved in that a holding strip section parallel to the profiled wall has at least one notch which engages in a recess in a corner angle which is formed as a flat material and is arranged between the profiled wall on its inner surface and the adjacent holding strip sections parallel to the profiled wall.

It is important for the invention that a retaining strip section parallel to the profile wall is used to fasten a cladding profile piece with a corner angle. So part of the panel is used, which is intended for fastening the panel to the frame. This results in a particularly simple and reliable design of the corner connection of the cladding. The notch used can be adapted to any mechanical requirement, as can the recess in which the notch engages. The use of glue is avoided.

Characterized in that the corner angle is arranged between the profile wall and this adjacent retaining strip sections, the corner of the cladding experiences an optimal stiffening and an optimal alignment of the outer surfaces of the profile wall within the tolerance of the distance between the inside surface of the profile wall and the adjacent retaining strip sections.

Significant stabilization of the corner connection can be achieved in that each retaining strip section has two notches, which each engage in a recess in the corner angle that is open on the edge. The arrangement of the cutouts on the edge enables the transverse extension of the holding strip sections of a holding strip parallel to the profile wall or two to keep a corner angle leg between receiving retaining strips small. The design of the recess, which is open on the edge, and whose openness on the edge also results in a manufacturing advantage, also works in this sense.

The corner angle advantageously consists of flat material ribbed transversely to the angle plane. If the corner bracket is only flat, it can easily be punched. The corner bracket can also be manufactured as a die-cast part. In this case, the ribs extending transversely to the angular plane are advantageous because they save material in relation to the angular thickness and, in the case of their arrangements at a distance from the edge, allow the flat area of the corner angle to be better gripped by the notch.

In order to be able to fasten the corner bracket on its two edges, the cladding is designed in such a way that the corner bracket is provided on each of its legs on at least one edge or on both edges with two cutouts which are open at the edges. This is necessary for particularly demanding corner connections, e.g. if only a single corner bracket is used to connect two trim profile pieces together. If the corner bracket is provided with cutouts that are open on the edge only on one edge of its legs, a particularly narrow design results, which can be used advantageously for narrow cladding, individually or in pairs.

In order to be able to produce the corner connection of two cladding profile pieces technically as cheaply as possible, the cladding is designed such that the notch of the holding strip section is a tongue which points away from the corner region of the profile pieces and is arranged with its free end adjacent to a transverse edge of the recess of the corner angle. The tongue can be released from the holding strip section with a corresponding stamp. The tongue extends essentially parallel to the length of the retaining strip section or to the retaining strip and is consequently connected to the longitudinal extent of the Profiles optimally adapted. In this longitudinal extension, it is able to oppose the optimal resistance from the stresses resulting from the corner angle. This is achieved in particular by the arrangement of the free end near the transverse edge of the recess in the corner angle. The neighborhood can be very close, for example, in that, when the notch is released, there is practically no tolerance in the direction of the corner region of the corner bracket, so that even the slightest displacements in the direction of the corner of the trim profile pieces are excluded.

If the wall thickness of the retaining strip section is smaller than the thickness of the corner bracket, the stiffening by the corner bracket is particularly good. On the other hand, by embossing the notch during the notching process, it can be achieved that the free end of the notch or the tongue surely abuts the transverse edge of the recess of the corner angle or the notch is jammed in the notch.

A cladding covering a particularly wide frame is expediently designed such that it has two corner brackets lying against the inside of the profile wall in the corner region of two profile pieces, and that between these corner brackets two retaining strips each with one of the corner angles overlapping retaining strip sections are arranged in recesses the corner angles have engaging notches. Both corner brackets are thus held at their two edges by retaining strips in the place provided for them. Between the corner brackets are arranged holding strips with overlapping holding strip sections, the notches of which ensure the necessary firm connection in the corner area. The tool for notching is to be kept small due to the closely adjacent arrangement of the holding bars in the transverse direction, even if all notches of the adjacent holding bars are produced in one operation. However, it is also possible in this case to fix both corner angles at their two edges by notches engaging in recesses.

The lining can be attached to the frame in a simple manner by being locked onto the frame with pot-shaped elastic holders attached to it, which have an edge facing the frame, which is supported on a retaining strip part parallel to the profile wall, which in turn is supported on the outside of the frame. The edge of the elastic holder presses on the retaining strip and thus supports the cladding or its profile wall from the frame at a predetermined distance from it.

In one embodiment of this attachment, the panel is designed so that the elastic support Holder bar part is arranged at a distance from the frame between this and the retaining bar section having the notches. This ensures that the edge of the pot-shaped elastic holder facing the frame can be kept short, which benefits the fastening security because the short edges allow less relative movement between the panel and the frame.

If the upper edge of the cup-shaped elastic holder is arranged below the corner-angle-side wall surface of the retaining strip section, it is possible to use the cup-shaped elastic holder directly in the corner area without protruding into the space intended for the corner angle.

A very good corner fit of the abutting cladding profile spars and an improved connection strength result if the recesses close to the corner of the angle of both angle legs extend into the vicinity of the angle apex, which has rounded spacers projecting on the outside corner and / or inside corner in the plane of the corner angle.

The cladding is designed in such a way that the transverse edge of the recess is undercut on the frame side and / or that at least one longitudinal edge of a corner angle leg has a longitudinal rib, at least in sections, at least in sections. The undercut of the transverse edge of the recess results in a better clawing of the transverse edge with the notching of the holding strip section. With the longitudinal rib it is achieved that tolerances between the corner angle and the associated cladding profile pieces can be compensated for transversely to their longitudinal extent, which also has an advantageous effect on the fit of the corner angle in the cladding profile piece, in particular on the cohesion of the notches with the transverse edges of the cutouts.

The cladding 10 shown in cross section in FIG. 1 for a frame 11 of a window essentially consists of a profile wall 12 covering the window frame outer surface 25, to which is connected an angled portion 12 'covering a flap 11''' of the frame 11. The lining 10 is fastened to the frame 11 by means of retaining strips 14 projecting towards the frame and by means of pot-shaped elastic holders 20 fastened to the frame 11. Each holder 20 is fastened to the frame bars 11 ′ and 11 ″ with fastening screws 26 shown in FIG. The holders 20 consist of elastic material, for example of a plastic, and are cup-shaped. They have on their upper edge 23 a peripheral edge 21 pointing towards the frame 10, which is supported on a holding strip part 22 which is formed parallel to the profile wall.

In dieser in Fig.1 dargestellten Stellung stützen die Halteleisten 14 die Verkleidung 10 an der Außenfläche 25 des Rahmens 11 ab.When assembling the panel 10 with the frame 11, the panel 10 is pressed onto the holder 20 in such a way that the holding strips 14 sit with their conical regions 28 on the edges 21 and deform them or the holder 20 so that the panel 10 can snap on . In this position shown in Figure 1, the support strips 14 support the panel 10 on the outer surface 25 of the frame 11.

The above-described application of the cladding 10 takes place only when it is assembled from its profile pieces 10 ′, 10 ″ according to FIG. The trim profile pieces 10 ', 10''are mitred to form a practically seamless corner area according to FIG. The profile pieces 10 ', 10''are profiled according to Fig.7. In the central region of the profile wall 12 there are two retaining strips 14 which attach to the inner surface 27 thereof. Two outer holding strips 14 are arranged with their foot region on the bend 12 'for the rollover 11''' of the frame 11 or on a bend 12 '' which laterally covers the holder 20 with the height required for the holder 20. The illustration in FIG. 6 therefore shows cut surfaces of two holding strips 14 in the middle and cut surfaces of the bends 12 ', 12''on the outside. Between the cut surfaces, corner angles 15 are shown with their legs 15 'or 15''. These corner brackets consist of flat material according to Figures 4,5 and 7. They are arranged adjacent to the inner surface 27 of the profile wall 12 and their edges 19 are encompassed by retaining strip sections 16, 16 ', so that the position of the angles perpendicular to the profile wall 12 is secured. The holding strip sections 16, 16 'are parallel to the profile wall. The holding strip sections 16 'also form the fastening legs on the bends 12', 12 ''. Compared to the holding strip sections 16 ', they are of a small transverse extent. The reason for this is that the holding strip sections 16 according to FIG. 4.5 have notches 17 which are tongue-shaped. These tongues or notches 17 extend in the longitudinal direction of the retaining strip sections 16 or the cladding profile. This is not apparent from Figure 3, but results from the cut of the section IV-IV, the Section was shown enlarged in Figure 4 and the notch 17 can be clearly seen. In particular, it can be seen that the notch 17 engages in a recess 18 in a corner bracket 15. The recess 18 is arranged according to Figure 6 in the edge region 19 of the corner bracket 15. Each recess 18 is open at the edge. Such recesses can be produced in a flat material without any problems. This recess 18 has a transverse edge 18 ', which is arranged directly adjacent to the free end of the tongue or the notch 17. This effectively prevents any displacement of the corner bracket 15 to the right in FIG. 4, that is to say in the direction of the corner region of the trim profile pieces 10 ', 10''. This is all the more true since the retaining strip section 16 parallel to the profile wall has a smaller wall thickness than the corner angle 15 is thick. With a notch, which can result in elongation when the notch 17 is acted upon in a corresponding manner, the free end 17 'thus surely reaches the transverse edge 18' of the recess 18, so that the corner angle 15 is pulled away from the corner region of the trim profile pieces and thus ensures a firm fit of the trim profile piece 10 '' on the trim profile piece 10 '. The greater thickness of the corner bracket 15 compared to the wall thickness of the retaining strip section 16 is shown in FIG. 5 in an exaggerated manner.

In Fig. 3,6 two corner brackets 15 are shown for connecting the profile pieces 10 ', 10' '. For each leg 15 ′, 15 ″, two cutouts 18 are sufficient for fastening, into which notches 17 of the holding strip sections 16 of the mutually adjacent inner holding strips 14 engage. However, it is also possible to use the recesses 18, which are outer in FIG. 3, 6 on the outer corner bracket 15 and on the inner corner bracket 15, for fastening with the profile pieces 10 ′, 10 ″, if the retaining strip sections 16 ′ parallel to the profile wall are made so wide, that they offer space for notches 17.

The corner angles shown, which have recesses 18 on their edges 19 both outside and inside, can also be used individually for those cladding profiles whose outer frame surface 25 is comparatively narrow, so that fastening with a single corner angle is sufficient. If If such a corner bracket is to be connected to the profile pieces in a particularly secure manner, all the existing cutouts 18 can be used for fastening.

The corner bracket 15 of FIGS. 8 to 11 consists essentially of flat material and is provided with longitudinal ribs 31 extending transversely to the angular plane. The longitudinal ribs 31 are arranged so that there are recesses 30 between them, which save material without reducing the strength of the corner bracket 15. In addition, the longitudinal ribs 31 maintain a distance from the longitudinal edges 32 of the angle legs 15 ', 15' '. As a result, the transverse edges 18 'of the recess 18 or the corner bracket 15 have a distance corresponding to the height of the longitudinal ribs 31 from the profile wall 12, so that the notch 17 with its free end 17' better at or below the transverse edge 18 'of the recess 18 can claw.

The transverse edge 18 'is undercut as shown in Fig.10. The undercut extends over the entire length of the transverse edge 18 'and is cast on as a die-cast part when the corner bracket 15 is produced.

The recesses 18 located near the angle apex 15 '' 'extend up to its vicinity. The longitudinal edges 32 or the edges 19 of the corner angle legs 15 ', 15' 'are therefore long. At the outer apex, the corner bracket 15 has a rounded spacer 29, which ensures that the profile pieces 10 ', 10' 'are adequately secured in position, which also ensures their relative position to one another after installation. Spacers 29, which enclose a recess 33 between them, are also present in the inner region of the angled leg 15 '' '. These spacers 29 also facilitate the desired arrangement of the cladding profile pieces and their mounting after assembly.

On the longitudinal edges 32 of the corner bracket 15 there is a longitudinal rib 34, which has a recognizable smaller thickness in relation to the thickness of the flat material of the corner bracket 15. This longitudinal rib 34 serves to compensate for tolerances between the holding strips 14. If a corner angle leg 15 ', 15 '' cannot be inserted easily enough into the profile pieces or between the holding strips 14, this longitudinal rib 34 can be removed with a file mark. The result is a precise fit, which is useful for the engagement of the notches 17 in the recesses 18.

The corner angle 15 shown in FIG. 12 has very narrow angle legs 15 ′, 15 ″, which each have only one longitudinal rib 31 and are provided with cutouts 18 only on their outer edges 19. The angle apex 15 '' 'has only a single projecting rounded spacer 29 in its outer corner area, while its inner corner area has the recess 33. The smooth longitudinal edges 32 are profiled according to FIG. 11, that is to say they have the rounding 35 shown there for adapting to the profile of the trim profile pieces and in each case one longitudinal rib 34 which extends practically over the entire length of the leg.
