Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method and a device for securing or retrieving the supply line cable of an underwater device according to the preamble of the independent claims 1 and 11.
  • the device has a flat swivel platform which is fastened in a rotationally movable manner directly on the edge of the hull by means of a horizontal shaft. Both ends of the swivel platform are provided with rollers, on the one hand to allow the swimming station to slide over the edge and on the other hand to guide the rope connected to the swimming station.
  • the swim station lies on the horizontal swivel platform.
  • the swivel platform is swiveled beyond the vertical position so that the outer end of the platform is above the water level at a predetermined distance from the edge of the ship.
  • the underwater device is lowered using a crane using a tether, while the supply cable used to supply energy to the underwater device and for signal transmission is unwound from the drum of a winch and guided over the beltline via a lower deflection roller.
  • the capacity of the drum is limited to a maximum cable length of approx. 1250 m, ie it is not possible to lower an underwater device with a one-piece supply line cable deeper than 1250 m. If, for example, the underwater device is to be lowered to a depth of approx. 2000 m, it is necessary to couple two supply line cables and to establish the electrical and hydraulic connections. It is difficult to guide the rigid coupling device over the lower pulley without damaging the cable.
  • the invention is based on the object of specifying a method and a device for securing or pulling in the supply line cable of an underwater device which enables the non-positive coupling of at least two supply line cables in a simple manner.
  • the advantages that can be achieved with the invention are, in particular, that a work platform is created by the pivoting device rotated into the horizontal position, on which the work required for coupling two supply line cables can be carried out in a simple manner at sea.
  • the high tensile force generated by the weight of the supply line cable that has already been unwound is “absorbed” by the swivel device. Since the coupling process - viewed from the beltline - takes place after the lower pulley, it is not necessary to couple the coupling via any pulley to lead, but it is rotated in a simple manner, the pivoting device into its vertical position, after which the coupling can be released without further obstacles in the direction of the water level.
  • FIG. 1 shows a ship's stern with a device for lifting (lowering, lowering) and pulling in supply lines for underwater facilities.
  • a ship 1 can be seen, at the stern of which an underwater device 2 is to be lowered to the sea floor or to be brought in from the sea floor.
  • the underwater device 2 can be, for example, a station for exploring the sea floor, an underwater hammer station for pile foundation or the like.
  • the weight of the underwater device 2 weighs during the Fierens or retracts over a tether 3 on a crane 4 mounted on the ship 1 or a separate platform 4.
  • This supply line cable 5 is unwound from the drum of a first winch 6 during the loading or, conversely, is wound up onto the drum of this winch 6 when it is pulled up.
  • a lower deflection roller 7 projecting beyond the beltline is provided, i.e. the supply line cable is deflected by the first winch 6 over the lower deflection roller 7 by 90 ° in the direction of the water level W or the sea floor.
  • An additional upper deflection roller 8 improves the guiding properties while the underwater device is lifted by the crane 4 above the water level W.
  • a swiveling device 9 which is rotatable about this axis or about an axis parallel thereto by at least 90 ° is mounted.
  • This pivoting device 9 is in the vertical position while the supply line cable is being pulled or pulled in, so that the supply line cable 5 can move in the direction of the water level W without touching the pivoting device 9.
  • a further deflecting roller 10 At the end of the swivel device 9 facing the water level W in a vertical position there is a further deflecting roller 10.
  • a second winch 11 in series with the first winch 6 can also be seen in FIG. 1, its function in particular is explained in the description of Figures 4 and 5.
  • the task is to lower an underwater device 2 to a depth of the sea floor of, for example, 2000 m. Since the drum of the winch 6 has a supply line cable 5 with a maximum length of 1250 m, it is necessary to couple this supply line cable 5 to an additional supply line cable 22 (see FIGS. 4, 5) in order to reach the seabed. This additional supply line cable 22 is located on the drum of the second winch 11.
  • the drum of the winch 6 is specially designed for this purpose and has a lateral drum pocket 13 which receives the cable coupling 12 of the supply line cable 5, the cable coupling 12 being fastened to a flange 25 of the drum pocket 13 (e.g. screw fastening).
  • FIG. 2 shows a winch 6 with a drum bag 13. It can be seen that a basket 14 connected to the cable coupling 12 is provided with an eyelet for fixing a drum rope 16 of an auxiliary winch 15.
  • the auxiliary winch 15 is - viewed from the ship's stern - behind the winch 6 and can be moved vertically along a frame so that a straight line transmission of traction from the supply line cable 5 via the cable coupling 12, the basket 14 and the drum cable 16 to the auxiliary winch 15 is always guaranteed.
  • the drum bag 13 is opened (see FIG. 2) and the basket 14 is screwed to the cable coupling 12 of the supply line cable 5 which has been unwound to the end position.
  • the drum cable 16 is attached to the basket 14 (for example by shackles) and tightened with the auxiliary winch 15.
  • the attachment between the cable coupling 12 and the flange 25 of the drum bag 13 can now be released.
  • the auxiliary winch 15 is then moved vertically downward along the frame in the direction of arrow A (for example by means of a hydraulic drive).
  • the winch 6 now has the position shown in FIG. 3, in which an essentially horizontal transmission of tractive force from the auxiliary winch 15 via the drum rope 16, the basket 14 with the cable coupling 12 attached to the supply line cable 5 is ensured.
  • the basket 14 with the attached cable coupling 12 can be easily removed from the drum bag 13 after the winch has been moved in the direction of arrow A.
  • the swivel device 9 is brought from its vertical to its horizontal position, as shown in FIG. 3.
  • the end of the swivel device 9 facing the water level W is swiveled up to the horizontal position for this purpose via a cable 18 connected to a crane 17 and held in this position.
  • the axis of the lower deflection roller 7 or an axis parallel thereto acts as an axis of rotation and the supply line cable 5 engages in the deflection roller 10 of the swivel device 9.
  • a removable locking block 19 is attached to the swivel device 9.
  • the supply line cable 5 is let down over the deflecting roller 10 by controlled lubrication of the rope 16 with the auxiliary winch 15 until the cable coupling 12 reaches the locking block 19 and is held by it becomes.
  • the basket 14 can then be detached from the cable coupling 12 and the drum rope 16 removed from the basket 14 is wound onto the auxiliary winch 15.
  • the additional supply line cable 22 is subsequently unwound from the drum of the second winch 11 until the cable coupling 23 of this cable 22 is on the swivel device 9 and a predeterminable distance from the cable coupling 12 of the cable fixed by means of the locking block 19 5 has.
  • This predeterminable propriety is essentially determined by the length of the cable connecting lines to be provided between the two cable couplings 12, 23.
  • a hand winch 20 is arranged behind the locking block 19 on the swivel device 9, the cable 21 of which is connected to the cable coupling 23.
  • the supply line cable 22 can then be pulled under the drum of the first winch 6.
  • an auxiliary deflection roller can be installed instead of the hand winch 20.
  • the supply line cable 22 is pulled over the drum cable 16 by means of the auxiliary winch 15 to the swivel device 9, the drum cable 16 being deflected via the auxiliary deflection roller.
  • the two supply line cables 5, 22 are connected via appropriately designed cable connecting lines.
  • the swivel device 9 functions as a working platform.
  • the individual connections must be watertight, whereby the water pressure prevailing at a sea depth of, for example, 2000 m must be taken into account accordingly.
  • two half-shells made of stainless steel as a pulling device 24 are placed around both cable couplings 12, 23 and the assembled cable connecting lines and with the baskets of the cable couplings 12, 23 screwed tight, as shown in Figure 5.
  • This pulling device 24 transmits the tensile force generated by the weight of the supply line cable 5 to the supply line cable 22 and the second winch 11.
  • the pulling device 24 itself does not have to enclose the cable couplings 12, 23 and the cable connecting lines in a watertight manner.
  • the locking block 19 can be dismantled and the swivel device 9 can be rotated again by 90 ° from the horizontal to the vertical position. This is done by lowering the cable 18 attached to the crane 17. During the pivoting process, the cable 22 engages in the lower deflection roller 7, while the deflection roller 10 guides the cable 5 and releases it in the vertical position of the pivoting device 9. After the swiveling process has ended, the swiveling device is in the vertical position, as shown in FIG.
  • the cable 22 can then be unwound from the drum of the second winch 11 until the underwater device 2 has reached the desired working depth.
  • the upper deflection roller 8 is to be lifted or dismantled as soon as a cable coupling of a supply line cable runs over the lower deflection roller 7.
  • a separate deflection roller 10 is advantageously omitted.
  • the attachment and removal of the deflection roller 8 to the swivel device 9 must be carried out in the vertical position of the swivel device.
  • the entire pivoting device 9 can also be removable.
  • the swivel device 9 is only rotated from its vertical to its horizontal position when the pulling device 24 is located directly next to the swivel device (see FIG. 6), so that after the swivel has taken place, the configuration shown in FIG. 5 with the pulling device located on the working platform 24 results.
  • the traction device 24 can be positioned precisely in the desired position by means of the second winch 11.
  • the locking bracket 19 is mounted to fix the cable coupling 12.
  • the pulling device 24 can now be released and removed.
  • the supply line cable 22 including the cable coupling 23 can be completely wound onto the drum of the winch 11.
  • the basket 14 can then be connected to the cable coupling 12, whereupon the cable coupling 12 is inserted into the drum pocket 13 of the winch 6 using the auxiliary winch 15.
  • the swivel device 9 can in turn be rotated or disassembled into the vertical position. There follows a vertical movement of the auxiliary winch 15 in the direction of the arrow A.
  • the basket 14 can be detached from the drum rope 16, the bag cover mounted on the drum bag 13 and the supply cable 5 with the winch 6 can be hauled in.
