Definitions

  • the invention relates to a silo for bulk goods with devices arranged on its top for operating the silo (e.g. filler neck, level meter, exhaust air filter, explosion protection, etc.).
  • devices arranged on its top for operating the silo (e.g. filler neck, level meter, exhaust air filter, explosion protection, etc.).
  • a stage is placed on this silo, on which several devices, in particular pipes that form an explosion protection, are arranged.
  • the platform is provided with a railing over which the openings of the explosion protection tubes protrude considerably.
  • the invention has for its object to better secure the area of the devices arranged on the top of the silo. According to the invention, this is done in that these devices are accommodated within the silo housing on a walk-in intermediate floor which closes the bulk material space and is connected to the silo housing, which together with the protruding silo housing and a chamber ceiling closing the silo is a chamber which is accessible through an exhaust air opening.
  • the chamber included in the silo housing forms a safety room at the upper end of the silo, which, on the one hand, can be accessed from the outside without any danger to the operating personnel due to its complete closure and therefore offers optimal working conditions for maintenance work.
  • the chamber fully protects the facilities concerned against the effects of the weather. It is even heatable if certain facilities, such as. B. Level meters are sensitive to extreme temperatures. This is a structurally simple solution due to the fact that the chamber is integrated in the silo, the silo housing forming the chamber wall.
  • a favorable arrangement of an exhaust air filter is obtained when the intermediate floor forms an upward step in the chamber for receiving the exhaust air filter.
  • the exhaust air filter protrudes into the space formed by the step above the intermediate floor and therefore does not require any space below the intermediate floor can therefore be fully used for filling the silo practically to the intermediate floor.
  • the exhaust air filter in an upward angle of the step.
  • the clean air side of the exhaust air filter lies in the wall formed by the upward bend and is therefore directly accessible to the operating personnel at an average body height. This makes observation and assembly and disassembly of the filter particularly easy.
  • the walk-in chamber integrated into the silo opens up a favorable possibility of servicing and assembling or dismantling the above-mentioned devices from silos standing next to one another, in that the chambers of adjacent silos are connected to one another via doors and adjoining walk-on bridges. In this case it is not necessary to provide the usual outer conductor for each individual silo. This is only necessary for a silo, from the chamber of which all other silos can then be walked over the bridges extending from chamber to chamber.
  • FIGS. 2 to 4 show the silo 1, which stands on the supports 2, between which the outlet cone 3 projects downwards.
  • the outlet cone 3 merges into the removal tube 4, in which the slide 5 is installed to shut off the material flow.
  • the silo has the sections 6, 7 and 8 welded together, which together with the outlet cone 3 form the filling space of the silo 1 for the bulk material contained therein.
  • the filling tube 9 is led upwards, which extends through the filler neck 10 into the filling space of the silo 1 (see FIGS. 2 to 4).
  • the filling space is closed off by the intermediate floor 11, which closes the filling space horizontally and is welded to the silo housing 12.
  • the silo housing 12 which extends upward beyond the intermediate floor 11 forms the chamber 13 which is enclosed by the intermediate floor 11, the chamber walls 14 forming the components of the silo housing and the chamber roof 15.
  • the door 16 arranged in the chamber wall 14 leads into the chamber 13 and can be reached via the conductor 17 arranged on the outside of the silo 1.
  • FIG. 2 shows the upper end of the silo 1, specifically with the silo housing 12 and the chamber 13, which here contains the following devices: the exhaust air filter 18, the level meter 19 of a known type and the filler neck 10.
  • the filler neck 10 forms one Knee at the end of the filling pipe 9, passes through the chamber wall 14 and the intermediate floor 11.
  • the exhaust air filter 18 is inserted into a corresponding opening in the intermediate floor 11.
  • the lighting fixture 20 is attached to the chamber roof 15 and provides the necessary light in the chamber 13 which is completely sealed off from the outside.
  • the door 16 is also embedded in the chamber wall 14. For reasons of simplifying the illustration, the conductor 17 shown in FIG. 1 has been omitted in FIG. 2. In the door 16, the exhaust slots 21 are let in, which discharge the air pressed into the chamber 13 through the exhaust air filter 18 to the outside.
  • connection of the intermediate floor 11 with the silo housing 12 and the chamber wall 14 is best carried out by welding, which is indicated here by the reinforcement 22.
  • the arrangement according to FIG. 3 differs from that according to FIG. 2 only by the obtuse-angled design of the chamber roof 15 and, above all, with regard to the design of the intermediate floor 11, which merges into step 23, in whose horizontal part 24 the exhaust air filter 18 is embedded.
  • the exhaust air filter 18 thus protrudes into a free space 25 which is not reached when the silo is being filled, since it is not possible for the filling level to exceed the level of the intermediate floor 11 when it is being filled.
  • the highest level is essentially determined by the outlet end 26 of the filler neck 10.
  • the explosion tube 28 is placed on the horizontal part 24, the cover 29 of which can spring open from the filling space 46 of the silo 1 due to an explosion pressure and can thus discharge the explosion pressure to the atmosphere.
  • the cover flap 30 for a so-called manhole 32 is shown on the intermediate floor 11, through which an entry into the silo 1 is possible. So that a person entering the silo 1 can be secured, the eyelet 31 is attached to the chamber roof 15, to which the person entering the silo 1 can be secured by an elevator.
  • the level meter 19 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 is omitted.
  • the filler neck 10 at the upper end of the filler pipe 9 is passed through the chamber wall 14 in the region of its knee via a flange arrangement 33, so that simple subsequent assembly or
  • connection of the chamber wall 14 to the silo housing 12, which continues downwards, can also take place via a screw connection or similar fastening means.
  • FIG. 5 shows the arrangement of three adjacent silos, namely the silos 34, 35 and 36, which carry the chambers 37, 38 and 39 at their upper end. From these chambers, the chamber 37 can be reached via the ladder 17 and the door 16. The connection to the two chambers 38 and 39 takes place via the walkable bridges 40 and 41, which each end in doors 42 and 43 or 44 and 45 in the relevant chambers 38 and 39.
