  • FIG. 5 The illustration shows a vertical section through a retaining profile strip 10 according to the invention, which is basically U-shaped in its part that can be attached to the wall, with an upper U-flange 12, a lower U-flange 13 and the U-flange that can be attached perpendicularly to the wall.
  • Web 11 The U-web 11 points Mounting holes on (not shown in Fig. 5) for attachment z. B. using screws and dowels on the wall.
  • the U-web 11 also has contact strips on the wall that protrude somewhat, namely an upper contact strip 16, a middle contact strip 17 and a lower contact strip 18, so that better attachment is possible if there are unevenness in the wall.
  • the upper flange 12 of the U has an upwardly directed shoulder 14 at the end.
  • the lower U-flange 13 has a downwardly directed shoulder 15, wherein at the height of the shoulder 15 on the U-flange 13 there is an angled downward and the lower U-flange 13 by a piece that runs horizontally at first and then is extended obliquely upward arm 19.
  • This arm 19 extends obliquely upwards, for example at an angle of approximately 30 ° to the horizontal, and ends in a vertically oriented web 20 formed by a thickening, which has a flat support surface a few millimeters long on its upper side.
  • the functional profile strip 21 is first described below with reference to FIG. 6, which, as can be seen from FIG. 7, can be suspended in the holding profile strip 10.
  • the functional profile strip 21 is formed on its side facing the wall approximately angularly with a horizontal flange 22 which is connected to a vertical web 26.
  • This vertical web 26 is adjoined in the lower area by a horizontal web 28, which in turn is connected to a further vertical web 27, the latter running parallel to the first vertical web 26 and the vertical webs 26, 27 only below via the horizontal web 28 are connected so that an upwardly open groove 24 with a rectangular cross section is formed between the vertical webs 26, 27. Since the two vertical webs 26 are each extended somewhat below the horizontal web 28, a flatter groove 25 is also provided below the horizontal web 28 Rectangular cross-section formed, which is open at the bottom.
  • the vertical web 27 is connected at the top and bottom to a semicircular web 23 on the room side when assembled, so that the vertical web 27 and the semicircular web 23 form a closed semicircular profile rounded on the room side.
  • FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 show a horizontally oriented worktop 35 attached to a wall 9, as occurs, for example, in a kitchen unit in kitchen base cabinets or the like.
  • a clamping strip 32 made of plastic is fastened on the wall side with an upwardly open, rectangular profile for a niche panel 34.
  • This lower terminal block 32 as shown in Fig. 2, on a wall-parallel niche panel 34 and frames this on the edge.
  • the niche panel 34 can also be lined on the wall side in the upper region.
  • the retaining profile strip 10 is now attached to the wall with the aid of fastening screws 36 and wall plugs, in such a way that the upper edge of the niche panel 34 comes to rest on the lower flange 13 and the shoulder 15 of the retaining profile strip 10.
  • a further upper niche panel 33 can then be attached parallel to the wall above the retaining profile strip 10, the niche panel 33 also being received on the upper side by a clamping strip 31, which in turn has a U-shaped receptacle.
  • An upper cabinet can then be hung above the horizontal web of the plastic terminal block 31, for example.
  • the free wall surface is between the worktop 35 and the upper cabinet 39 completely covered by the niche panels 33, 34, so that a pleasant appearance is ensured.
  • the wall panels 33, 34 take the place of tiles that are otherwise to be attached.
  • the illustration according to FIG. 4 shows that the retaining profile strip 10 can be used to attach a horizontal shelf 30 according to an embodiment of the invention.
  • the shelf 30 is, as indicated by the broken line, inserted obliquely from above into the room-side opening of the retaining profile strip 10 between the upper flange 12 and the arm 19 and then pivoted into the horizontal position.
  • the shelf 30 has a groove 37 on the underside, which then receives the support web 20 of the holding profile strip 10 in the horizontal position.
