Abstract

The louvred window has a rectangular frame with top and bottom cross-members and two side members comprising outer and inner profiled metal sections (24, 26) joined together by heat-insulating ribs (28, 30). The louvres are mounted in holders (22), each with a bearing trunnion (62) turning in a side member. Each of the latter has a recess in the side towards the holders accommodating a strip type seal (42). A thrust rod (52) sliding in one side member is coupled to the holders so as to turn the louvers (20). The edges of the side-member side-walls towards the holders are formed by the profiled metal sections, and the middle portions by one of the insulating ribs.
