Definitions

  • the invention relates to a side-releasable cheek, in particular toe of a safety ski binding for holding one end of a ski boot, which also has a cheek holding the other end of the ski boot, in particular a heel cheek, which preferably also has an elastic pushing force on the releasable cheeks in the longitudinal direction of the ski boot exercises, with a binding housing, in which a substantially spring in the longitudinal direction of the trigger spring is arranged, which is supported on one side on the binding housing and with the other end arranged towards the ski boot, two side legs and a hold-down device in the direction away from the ski boot with one essential component in the longitudinal direction of the trigger force along its line of action so acted that the side legs when exceeding a predetermined lateral force exerted by the ski boot at least by a certain amount Finally swivel the upright tilting axis sideways and release the ski boot, the sole holder on the binding housing being arranged to be vertically displaceable along at least one essentially upright slide guide, which is inclined against the line of
  • Such a side-releasable jaw in particular front jaws of a safety ski binding, is known for example from DE-38 25 682 A1.
  • This known toe piece works largely satisfactorily.
  • the essentially upright sliding guide must be trained or against the line of action of the release spring force must be inclined so that the force component of the release spring force acting downward on the sole holder or hold-down device is sufficient to overcome the friction in the sliding guide and to press the hold-down device against the ski boot sole.
  • the invention is based on the object of providing a side-releasable jaw of the type mentioned at the outset which, with a simple construction, enables the downholder provided on the sole holder to be properly pressed down without the side releasability of the jaw being impaired.
  • the sliding guide has sections which are inclined differently against the line of action of the release spring force, so that a torque rotary pole is formed, the distance from the line of action of the release spring force defining the force component with which the hold-down device is pressed against the top of a ski boot sole.
  • EP-A-0 311 832 This represents a further state of the art according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the sliding guide formed in this document by the support and tilting surfaces does not have two sections which are inclined differently against the line of action of the release spring force, as is required by the present proposal. Rather, in the first embodiment of EP-A-0 311 832, the position of the tilting axis indicating the sliding guide is continuously vertical and, in the other embodiments, uniformly inclined.
  • the sliding guide is divided, for example, into two straight sections, of which the upper one is slightly inclined and the lower one is relatively strongly inclined, the sole holder is supported essentially on the upper section of the sliding guide due to the forward elastic pushing force when the ski boot is inserted , which then forms a tilting axis that is only slightly inclined for side release, which favors the lateral release of the jaw.
  • the release spring essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the ski, so that the adjusting screw for the release spring is more accessible and the adjustment of the release force is thereby facilitated, since the force acting on the sole retainer downwards is generated by the formation of a torque rotating pole becomes.
  • the sliding guide is designed as an arc, the center of curvature D of which forms the center of rotation.
  • the slide guide of the sole holder on the binding housing is formed by a slide bar and a corresponding slide guide surface, at least a section of the slide bar being made of a material with increased wear resistance, preferably of metal. It is expedient if the upper section of the slide bar, which has a lower inclination to the line of action of the release spring force than the lower section, consists of wear-resistant material. As a result, a particularly long service life of the section of the slide strip which is additionally loaded as a tilting joint is achieved.
  • the entire slide strip prefferably be made of wear-resistant material.
  • a further embodiment of the invention is characterized in that two sliding guides are arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal center plane of the ski standing vertically on the ski surface, each with a sliding strip and an associated sliding guide surface, the tilting axes being arranged in the region of the sliding strips for the lateral pivoting out of the sole holder.
  • an intermediate piece is arranged in the region of each slide guide between the binding housing and the sole holder, that the slide guide forms with the sole holder and a tilting joint with the binding housing, the tilt axis of which is arranged perpendicular to the line of action of the release spring force.
  • the tilt joint between the sole holder and the binding housing can be optimally aligned with respect to the line of action of the release spring force without that the advantageous embodiment of the sliding guide surfaces according to the invention must be dispensed with.
  • the sliding guide surfaces are formed in a circular arc, a depressing movement of the sole holder can be achieved, which has practically no undesirable influence on the triggering force, since the set length of the trigger spring is practically not changed due to the pivoting downward movement of the sole holder.
  • the intermediate piece at least in the region assigned to the sliding guide, consists of a material with a reduced sliding friction coefficient or has a coating that reduces the sliding friction.
  • the binding housing 11 of a toe is fastened on a ski 10 by means not shown.
  • a sliding plate 12 is provided, by means of which the front region of the sole 29 of a ski boot 9 inserted in the cheeks is supported from below.
  • a release spring receiving space 13 which runs obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the ski, within which a release spring 14 is arranged, which is supported at the rear end on an annular wall 15 of the binding housing 11 and at its front end on an axially adjustable abutment 16 is.
  • a tie rod 17 is fastened to the abutment 16 and has a fastening eye 20 on its front end facing away from the abutment 16 and extending through an opening 18 in the ring wall 15 of the binding housing 11.
  • a fastening bolt 19 extends through the fastening eye 20, which is arranged in a recess 21 of a sole holder 22, and is inserted into corresponding bores in the sole holder 22, so that the sole holder 22 extends from the release spring 14 via the abutment 16 and through the pull rod 17 is held against the binding housing 11.
  • the sole holder 22 which has a hold-down 23 and two side legs 24, only one of which is shown, is supported on the binding housing 11 by means of two slide strips 25 which are essentially upright with respect to the ski, the slide strips 25 engaging with corresponding slide guides 26 stand.
  • the slide strips 25 and guides 26 are arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal axis of the ski or symmetrically to the action line 27 of the release spring 14, form tilting surfaces or counter-tilting surfaces and define the pivoting axes about which the sole holder 22 is pivoted when a ski boot inserted in the front jaws 9 exerts a force exceeding the release force on one of the side legs 24 of the sole holder 22.
  • the slide strips 25 or guides 26 have a first upper straight section 25 'or 26' and a second, lower straight section 25 '', 26 ''.
  • the first straight sections 25 ', 26' enclose a first angle ⁇ 1 with the line perpendicular to the line of action 27 of the release spring, which is smaller than an angle ⁇ 2 which the second straight sections 25 '' and 26 '' with the perpendicular to Include line of action 27 of the trigger spring.
  • free cuts 26' '' can be provided.
  • the release spring 14 exerts a downward force on the sole holder 22, so that the hold-down device 23 is pressed against the ski boot sole 29 when the ski boot 9 is inserted is so that it is clamped between the slide plate 12 and the hold-down 23.
  • the sole holder 22 is pressed by the release spring 14 against a lower stop, which can be formed, for example, by the top of the rear extension 11 'of the binding housing 11.
  • the sole holder 22 is supported essentially along the upper straight sections 25 ′, 26 ′ of the slide strips 25 or guides 26 on the binding housing 11.
  • ski boot 9 To insert the ski boot 9, it is inserted with the front section of the ski boot sole 29 into the gap between the hold-down device 23 and the slide plate 12, whereupon the ski boot sole 29 is then pivoted about the slide plate 12 into its ski-parallel position.
  • the upper side of the front end of the ski boot sole 29 engages with the hold-down device 23 and pushes this and thus the sole holder 22 upwards against the torque exerted by the release spring on the sole holder 22 along the slide guides 26 until the ski boot 9 is fully inserted into the binding is.
  • the sole holder 22 becomes upward against the downward force caused by the release spring 14 or against the torque around the torque pivot M moved up. As soon as the upward force ceased to apply, the hold-down device 23 presses the ski boot sole against the sliding plate 12 again.
  • the lower sections 25 ′′, 26 ′′ of the slide strips 25 or guides 26 around a larger angle ⁇ 2 is inclined to the vertical to the line of action 27 of the trigger spring 14. In this way, the sole holder 22 is prevented from getting caught in an upper position as a result of increased friction between the slide strips 25 and guides 26, since the influence of friction is substantially reduced by the greater inclination of the lower sections 25 ′′, 26 ′′.
  • an upper stop (not shown) can be provided for the sole holder 22, which can optionally serve as a tilting edge for a front jaw which can also be released upwards.
  • the slide strips 25 and / or the slide guides 26 can be made of metal.
  • the slide guides 26 are designed in the form of a circular arc, the center of curvature D being arranged at a distance a from the line of action 27 of the release spring 14.
  • the slide strips 25 arranged on the sole holder 22 have a concave circular arc shape corresponding to the slide guides 26.
  • the sole hold-down device 23 provided on the sole holder 22 can exert a holding force acting on the ski boot sole from above when the ski boot is inserted, and thus hold an inserted ski boot without play in the binding in the vertical direction.
  • the slide strips (26) or guides 26 in turn form the tilting surface or tilting counter surface, about which the sole holder 22 pivots against the release spring force when it is released laterally.
  • a side-releasable jaws in turn, circular-arc-shaped slide guides, which are formed by a slide guide groove 35 formed on the sole holder 22 and a slide bar 36.
  • the slide bar 36 is provided on an intermediate piece 28 that is inserted between the sole holder 22 and the binding housing 11.
  • the intermediate piece 28 On its front edge in the direction of skiing, the intermediate piece 28 has a tilting bar 37, which is preferably arranged in a corresponding groove 38, which forms a tilting surface on the sole holder 11, while the counter-tilting surface is provided on the tilting bar 37 of the intermediate piece 28.
  • the tilt axis defined by the tilting bar 37 and the groove 38 is arranged perpendicular to the line of action 27 of the release spring 14, so that the sole holder 22 is pivoted about a defined, vertical tilt axis during the lateral release.
  • the separate arrangement of tilting bar 37 and sliding bar 36 by means of an intermediate piece 28 enables the radius of curvature the arcuate sliding guides and the distance a of the center of curvature from the line of action 27 of the release spring 14 can be freely selected without the release behavior of the sole holder being impaired thereby.
