Definitions

  • the invention relates to a spindle support consisting of two telescopically displaceable tubes with an external thread formed on an internal tube, on which an adjusting nut runs, the external thread being rolled up.
  • Spindle supports designed in this way are known from practice, an inner tube having a long external thread and a nut running thereon, suitably a so-called swivel nut, being provided.
  • the length of the spindle support is adjusted via the thread.
  • a double-start trapezoidal or round thread is usually used.
  • efforts are made to match the bending resistance of the outer and inner tubes so that they are approximately the same.
  • the lowest possible weight should be achieved with the lowest possible weight. Since the inner tube generally has a lower section modulus against bending due to its smaller diameter, a different material characteristic with regard to the permissible yield stress is used to compensate for the strength of the inner tube.
  • the permissible yield stress can be achieved either by using a material with a higher overall strength or by strain hardening during thread rolling.
  • a material with a higher overall strength or by strain hardening during thread rolling.
  • German patent DE-A-34 45 657 This is a one arranged on an outer tube Threads, in order to achieve a configuration which is advantageous in terms of production, an expansion of the outer tube was first carried out and then an upsetting again in the course of thread rolling.
  • the object of the invention is to design and develop a spindle support with the features required at the outset in such a way that, with the highest possible load-bearing capacity and strength as well as security against buckling, a user-friendly design is provided.
  • Opening the thread flanks at an angle of 80 to 90 ° inevitably results - starting from a given thread head width - in a comparatively large shear surface assigned to a thread.
  • the thread formation also proves to be surprisingly advantageous with regard to soiling, in particular concrete soiling. Such dirt adheres far less well to the thread. In any case, they can be solved very easily. Due to the favorable geometric conditions of the thread, a high fatigue strength of the inner tube is also achieved. It is also essential that the thread is formed practically over the entire length of the inner tube. The notch tensions are very low.
  • the thread flanks of the thread valley have a flank angle of approx. 40 ° - 45 ° at the specified opening angle.
  • the inner tube is preferably very thin-walled. Preferably in a ratio of diameter to wall thickness of about 18.
  • the relatively high work hardening makes it possible to compensate for the lower section modulus of the inner tube by a larger permissible stress.
  • the pitch angle of the thread is advantageously at the limit of self-locking. Due to this inclination angle of approximately 6 °, no further inhibiting element or the like is required to secure the vertebral nut.
  • the specified conditions also make it possible for the inner tube to consist of a conventional structural steel, for example an ST 37. In particular, an ST 37-2 is preferred.
  • the spindle support provided as a whole with the number 1 has an outer tube 2 and an inner tube 3.
  • the lower end of the outer tube 2 is equipped with a base plate 4, while the end of the inner tube 3 protruding from the outer tube 2 carries a head plate 5 on the end face.
  • the outer tube 2 is provided on the outside wall with four beads 6 arranged at the same distance from one another.
  • the elevations of the beads 6 on the inside wall serve as an end stop for the inner tube 3.
  • the inner tube 3 slidably arranged in the outer tube 2 has approximately the same length as the outer tube 2. Starting from the top plate 5, an external thread 7 extends into the lower quarter of the inner tube 3. In its lower end region, the inner tube 3 is widened to form a stop shoulder 8.
  • the inner tube 3 is made of mild steel ST 37-2 and has very thin walls, the ratio of diameter to wall thickness being approximately 18.
  • the external thread 7 is rolled onto the inner tube 3.
  • it is a double-start, trapezoidal thread, the opening angle alpha of the thread valley being approximately 90 ° (cf. FIG. 3).
  • the thread 7 is designed so that the remaining wall thickness a in the thread base 9 is approximately equal to the wall thickness of the outlet pipe.
  • the pitch angle of the thread 7 is at the limit of self-locking of approximately 6 °.
  • the inner wall of the inner tube 3 is deformed in a wave-like manner by the thread rolling, the wave crest of the thread base 9 and the wave trough of the thread head 10 being opposite.
  • the thread depth t is approximately equal to the residual wall thickness a in the thread root 9.
  • the width b of the thread head 10 corresponds approximately to one and a half times the wall thickness a. An optimal load-bearing capacity is thus achieved overall. Not only is the thread depth equal to the remaining wall thickness in the thread base.
  • the shear surface of the thread flank is also matched to the surface pressure of the thread flank.
  • the length of the entire spindle support 1 is adjusted by means of a swivel nut 11. This lies on the upper end of the outer tube 2 and is via radial webs 12, which are located on the outer wall of the outer tube Support 2, stored securely. Diametrically opposite handles 13 arranged on the lateral surface of the vertebral nut 11 serve to facilitate rotation of the vertebral nut 11.
  • the swivel nut 11 is rotated, the inner tube 3 moving out of or into the outer tube 2.
  • the maximum length of the spindle support 1 is defined as shown in Figure 4.
  • the stop shoulder 8 of the inner tube 3 is supported on the stop webs formed by the beads 6 of the outer tube 2. A further unscrewing of the inner tube 3 is not possible.
