  • the pair of bonding heads 36 are fixed to the upper ends of a pair of opposed pivotal arms 42, respectively, so as to oppose to each other and are movable toward or away from each other by toggle link mechanisms 43.
  • the pair of pivotal arms 42 are supported at their lower ends respectively by a pair of parallel horizontal pivots 41 arranged at the respective sides of the path of transport of containers and extending in the longitudinal direction.
  • Each of the toggle link mechanisms 43 comprises a first link 44 and a second link 45 which are interconnected each at its one end.
  • the other end of the first link 44 is connected to the correcting and pressure member 22, and the other end of the second link 45 is connected to a support 46 by a bracket 47.

  • the portion of the container 11 to be made into its top 14, although prefolded, is in an unfolded state when positioned upstream from the bonding station S, and is generally closed by the time it is transported to the bonding station S.
  • the opposed correcting and pressure members 22 remain away from each other until the container 11 is brought to the bonding station S (FIG. 4, (a)), but upon the container 11 reaching the station S, the correcting and pressure members 22 start to approach each other, bringing the boundaries between the vertical faces 61 and the slanting faces 62 into contact with the container top (FIG. 4, (b)). As the correcting and pressure members 22 further approach, the slanting faces 62 of the members 22 are brought into contact with the respective outer top panels 15 of the top 14, which in turn is folded to the predetermined shape of the gabled roof. Even if the outer rib panels 17 and the inner rib panels 18 are out of register longitudinally of the conveyor, the above movement eliminates the misregister.

Claims (4)

  1. Appareil pour sceller des parties supérieures de récipients (11) afin de former au niveau du sommet de chaque récipient une configuration en forme de toit à deux pentes ayant une nervure supérieure scellée, par deux panneaux supérieurs extérieurs (15), deux panneaux formant nervures extérieures (17) s'étendant à partir des extrémités supérieures des panneaux supérieurs respectifs, deux panneaux supérieurs intérieurs (16) aptes à être repliés vers l'intérieur entre les panneaux supérieurs extérieurs (15), et deux panneaux formant nervures intérieures (18) s'étendant à partir des extrémités supérieures des panneaux supérieurs intérieurs (16) respectifs et aptes à être repliés en deux et maintenus entre les panneaux formant nervures extérieures (17), l'appareil étant destiné à sceller sous pression les deux panneaux formant nervures extérieures (17) aux deux panneaux formant nervures intérieures (18), l'appareil comprenant :
       deux éléments presseurs (22) disposés de part et d'autre d'un trajet de déplacement des sommets des récipients et aptes à être rapprochés et éloignés l'un de l'autre pour presser les panneaux formant nervures l'un contre l'autre, caractérisé en ce qu'il est prévu un moyen (62, 72) pour corriger la forme des récipients d'une forme parallélipipédique à une forme rectangulaire, ledit moyen (62, 72) étant apte à agir sur des parties requises du récipient (11), lorsque les éléments presseurs sont rapprochés l'un de l'autre, afin de corriger la position des panneaux formant nervures extérieures (17) et des panneaux formant nervures intérieures (18) avant le pressage des panneaux formant nervures (17) l'un contre l'autre, et agissant selon une relation fixe avec les éléments presseurs (22, 71).
  2. Appareil de scellage selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les éléments correcteurs et presseurs (22) sont respectivement fixés aux extrémités supérieures de bras pivotants (42) et se font face, chacun des bras pivotants (42) étant soutenu à son extrémité inférieure par un pivot horizontal (41) qui s'étend parallèlement au sens de déplacement du récipient (11), deux mécanismes à bielles de guidage (43) étant reliés respectivement, au niveau de l'une de leurs extrémités, aux deux éléments correcteurs et presseurs (22) et ayant chacun leur autre extrémité reliée à un élément de support (46), une tige mobile (51) étant reliée aux extrémités reliées entre elles de deux bielles (44, 45) de chaque mécanisme à bielles de guidage (43).
  3. Appareil de scellage selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les éléments correcteurs et presseurs (22) situés de chaque côté du trajet sont formés par un bloc (35) ; les deux blocs (35) étant respectivement pourvus de deux faces presseuses (61) verticales et opposées et de deux faces correctrices (62) s'inclinant vers le bas et s'étendant depuis les extrémités inférieures des faces presseuses (61) respectives et s'adaptant à la configuration en forme de toit à deux pentes.
  4. Appareil de scellage selon la revendication 1, dans lequel chacun des éléments correcteurs et presseurs (71, 72) possède deux faces correctrices (74) verticales et opposées, perpendiculaires au sens de déplacement du récipient, disposées exactement l'une en face de l'autre par rapport au sens de déplacement et séparées l'une de l'autre par une distance égale à la longueur du corps du récipient (11) dans le sens de déplacement, les faces correctrices verticales (74) pouvant ainsi s'adapter à la partie terminale supérieure du corps de récipient lorsque les éléments correcteurs et presseurs (71, 72) sont rapprochés l'un de l'autre.
