Description

The invention relates to a hair treatment device with a hand-held device, which has a hair roller cylinder driven by a motor and a hot air nozzle flowing perpendicularly to its axis of rotation, in which there is negative pressure at suction openings of the hair roller cylinder, which is generated by a fan which is arranged in a fan box and is connected to the handheld device via a hose, and in which the air sucked in by the blower via the suction openings of the hair roller cylinder emerges from the latter after flowing through the blower box. Such a hair treatment device is known (EP-B1-0 052 325, DE-U-87 17 038.8). It is provided that the cooling of the blower motor is cooled by the air flow entering the blower box via the hose and exiting from the blower box via corresponding outlet openings in the blower box environment. The negative pressure required to hold a hair or a strand of hair on the surface of the rotating hair reeling cylinder is thus generated in the known hair treatment device in a manner similar to that in a vacuum cleaner. To dry the hair taken up or wound up on the surface of the hair roller, air is sucked in from the environment through suction slots provided in the housing of the hand-held device by a further blower provided in the hand-held device and passed to the hot air nozzle via corresponding air heating devices. The known device has the disadvantage that the separation of the vacuum air circuit and drying air circuit required for effective drying entails a complex construction of the known hair treatment device. To supply air to the hot air nozzle, a blower is required in the hand-held device, which complicates handling of the hand-held device due to its additional weight. The hairdressers are exposed to constant noise pollution due to the high-speed motor of the blower, which significantly affects their comfort.

From DE-PS 37 38 968 a hair treatment device is known in which a closed air circuit is provided between the suction openings of a rotatable hollow body and a blow-out nozzle with air blow-out slots flowing vertically onto the hollow body. The air sucked in through the suction openings of the hollow body is led via a flexible hose line to the suction side of a central unit. A radial fan directs the air supplied via the hose line to the suction side of the central unit to the pressure side of the central unit. This has outlet connections, in each of which an air heater is arranged. The air heated in the air heaters is fed to the air outlet slots of the outlet nozzle via a further hose line. This known hair treatment device has the disadvantage that it has a single, closed air circuit. The moisture given off by the hair resting on the hollow body reaches the central device via the suction openings and the flexible hose line and is heated there by the air heaters. The moist, warm air thus created is then blown again onto the hair to be dried via the blow-out nozzle. Such a closed air circuit is quickly saturated with moisture, so that no effective drying takes place.

The invention has for its object to the manageability and ease of use of this hair treatment device improve and in particular in that the handheld device used is lighter, easier to handle and the noise of the hairdresser is eliminated by the motor provided on the handheld device for the hot air nozzle. Furthermore, it should be ensured in the hair treatment device according to the invention that there is no saturation of the air used for drying with moisture.

According to the invention this object is achieved in that an air stream sucked in by the blower of the blower box from the blower box environment and used to cool the blower motor is then fed via a warm air line to the hot air nozzle provided in the hand-held device.

Further features according to the invention are set out in claims 2-4.

Such a hair treatment device has the following advantages:
  • (a) The motor for the hair dryer (air supply to the hot air nozzle) is omitted in the handheld device. The handheld device becomes lighter.
  • (b) The noise nuisance caused by the motor provided for the hair dryer in the prior art is eliminated. This annoyance was particularly serious because you had to use high-speed motors to save weight, which in turn caused a particularly striking and loud noise.
  • (c) Hair driers of this type (high speeds with a view to saving weight) were also unsuitable for professional use because of their high susceptibility to failure due to wear and dust build-up. The fact that they are now no longer required makes the entire device more reliable.
  • (d) The energy requirement is considerably lower, since the cooling air for the blower motor in the blower box is now used for a further purpose, namely the supply of the hot air nozzle in the hand-held device.
  • (e) By arranging the motor for the hair roller cylinder on the side of the hand-held device opposite the connection of the hose and achieving a better weight balance and thus better handling.
  • (f) The handheld device can be made shorter; this results in a further weight reduction and special usability, for example in the neck area of hairstyles. The handle can be designed more ergonomically because the hollow shaft and thus the need for a tubular, round design are eliminated in this area.
  • (g) The power saving compared to known devices is approx. 30%, the weight saving of the hand-held device approx. 200g.

An embodiment of the invention and its advantageous developments is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. They represent:
Figure 1
a schematic view of the hair treatment device;
Figure 2
the handheld device;
Figure 3
the blower box 2.

Figure 1 shows a hairdressing and hair treatment device that is formed by a handheld device 1 and a blower box 2. A hairdresser or a hairdresser handles the hand-held device in order to roll up, shape, dehumidify and dry individual strands of hair H of a person P.

As can be seen from FIG. 2, the handheld device 1 has a handle 10, through the interior of which an air guiding channel 12 extends. At the right end, a hollow shaft 11 is rotatably mounted in the handle 10. On the hollow shaft 11 sits a gear 13 which is driven by a motor 14. The motor 14 is flanged to a gear 15 and drives the shaft 16, which drives the gear 13 and thus the hollow shaft 11 by means of a toothed belt 17. The unit formed from the motor 14 and the transmission 15 is arranged in a housing 20 which is connected to the handle 10. In the right end of the hollow shaft 11 there is a hair roller cylinder 21, which is closed at the front but has openings 22 and rotates with the hollow shaft 11.

Covering the length region of the hair roller cylinder 21 provided with openings 22, the outlet opening 25 of a hot air nozzle 26 is arranged along the same. The outlet opening 25 exits hot air perpendicular to the axis A of the hair roller 21. The hot air nozzle 26 is articulated about the axis B on the air duct 27, which is arranged on the housing 20.

The heating wire 29 is located in the hot air line 28, which is guided inside the housing 20 into the handle 10 and from which the heated air then passes into the air duct 27 and from there into the hot air nozzle 26.

This arrangement - heating wire 29 in the direction of flow far away from the outlet opening 25 of the hot air nozzle 26 - enables good mixing of the hot air. This also makes it possible to design the hot air nozzle in two parts so that you can can be easily taken apart for cleaning. The division into two is not shown in the drawing; however, it can advantageously take place along the central plane of the hot air nozzle 26 which extends parallel to the plane of the drawing. The disassembly is made possible by the arrangement of the heating wire 29 described, because then there is no risk of contact and / or the heating wire 29 even when the hot air nozzle is disassembled.

Der Schlauch 31 verläuft innerhalb des Schlauches 30.The air duct 12 in the handle 10 is connected to a hose 30. The hot air line 28 is connected to a further hose 31, which has a smaller cross section. The hose 31 runs inside the hose 30.

A negative pressure is generated in the blower box 2 by a blower 35 in the space 36, which is connected to the hose 30. This negative pressure propagates through the hose 30, the air duct 12 in the handle 10, the interior of the hollow shaft 11 into the interior of the hair roller cylinder 21, so that it becomes effective at the openings 22. At the same time, heated air is supplied to the hot air duct 27 via the hose 31 and the warm air line 28 and is heated there by the heating wire 29. The hot air then exits through the hot air nozzle.

The function of the device is such that a strand of hair H of a person P through the openings 22 of the otherwise externally smooth hair roller cylinder 21 acting vacuum is taken up and wound up. In the wound state, the hair roller cylinder 21 continues to rotate while the hair is sliding on it. At the same time, the hot air nozzle 26 flows against the hair. Air is sucked out through the interior of the hair roller 21 and the openings 22. In this way you can roll up, dehumidify, dry and shape the hair very quickly.

The warming or preheating of the warm air, which reaches the hot air duct 27 via hose 31 and warm air line 28, takes place by means of an air flow 40 which enters the blower box 2 through slots 41 and through a feed wheel 42 for cooling the blower motor 50 into the underside thereof the same seen cooling air inlet slots 51 is pressed. This air flow then flows around the part of the blower motor 50 that heats up during operation and enters the chamber 53 through its cooling air outlet slots 52, to which the warm air line 28 connects. The particular idea which the present invention makes use of is to use the air which warms up or heats up when the blower motor 50 is cooled in the blower box 2 for the hair dryer formed by the heating device 29 and the hot air nozzle 26, so that the latter itself is not a blower needed more and also its heating device can be dimensioned more economically, since the air has already been preheated to a certain extent by cooling the fan motor 50.

The fan 35 for generating the negative pressure in the space 36 and thus in the hose 30 is also formed by a feed wheel. The extracted air flow exits the blower box 2 via slots 60, the air flow being previously forced to flow around a vertical air baffle 61 so that moisture can precipitate; the condensed water drips into a condensed water collecting container 62 which can be pushed in in the lower region of the blower box 2.

As can be seen, the components motor 14, gear 15, hollow shaft 11 are located in FIG. 2 at one end of the handle 10, while the hose 30 is fastened at the other end. As a result, if one considers the hand-held device 1 on its own, this creates a certain excess weight on the right-hand side in FIG. 2, which counteracts the weight of the hose 30 on the other side.

As already mentioned, the hose 31 for the warm air is guided inside the hose 30, through which the air which has passed through the strands of hair H and the openings 22 is extracted. However, this extracted air has previously been discharged from the hot air nozzle 26 so that, even if it is already in the hose 30 and is sucked there to the blower box 2, it still has a certain temperature. This temperature is higher than that of the air carried in hose 31 to handheld device 1. There is therefore still heat exchange in the hose 30, specifically in that the hose 30 hot air flowing towards the blower box 2 still gives off heat to the preheated air flowing in the opposite direction in the hose 31 according to the countercurrent principle.

The preheating of the air emitted by the hot air nozzle 26 by the blower motor 50 can correspond to the first heating stage of the hot air nozzle, while the second heating stage is switched on when the heating wire 29 is switched on. There is also a saving in terms of equipment in this respect.

The cold run-up of the hair winding cylinder occurs when the heating wire 29 is switched off and the valve 66 in the line 54, actuated by a servomotor 67, is rotated counterclockwise by 90 °. Then the engine cooling air is blown into the open at the blower box. The hair is rolled up and shaped on the handheld device without blow drying. The switching of the servomotor G1 takes place together with switching off the heating wire 29 in a corresponding position of the multifunction button 65, which also serves to set the other operating conditions, the electrical line from the multifunction button 65 runs to the servomotor 61 in the hose 31, in the dry and in Relationship to the air in the hose 30 cooler air is guided.
