Zum einen lenkt er die angesaugte Luft in den rückwärtigen Teil des Gehäuses des Haartrockners, zum anderen lenkt er die vom Lüfterrad geförderte Luft in Richtung der Luftauslaßöffnungen um. Zudem bewirkt der Luftleitring, daß zwischen den Lufteinlaßöffnungen und der Heizung sowie dem Lüfterrad ein großer Abstand besteht.
