Definitions
- the invention relates to an electromagnetic switching valve for controlling the passage of a fluid line, in particular for fuel injection pumps, of the type defined in the preamble of claim 1.
- Such switching valves for example known from DE 37 32 553 A1, in which the magnet armature is not flushed with liquid but with air, have a relatively high switching speed since the magnet armature, which has a large area, is no longer moved in the fluid and is therefore hydraulically damped.
- valve member bouncing after the valve closes there is the problem of the valve member bouncing after the valve closes. If such a solenoid valve is used in fuel injection pumps, the valve member reopens as a result of its bouncing impermissibly large spread of the injected fuel quantity.
- the valve bounce can be limited to an uncritical value by designing the valve seat geometry so that a sufficiently rough damping force occurs within the overlap due to the squeezing flow when the valve closes.
- this requires a high degree of manufacturing accuracy with regard to the sealing surface angle difference and the roughness of the surfaces on the valve seat and valve member.
- the electromagnetic switching valve with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that the bouncing amplitude occurring on the valve member is very small and quickly decreases due to the phase oscillation of the two masses of valve needle and magnet armature. The quantity variations that still occur when used in fuel injection pumps are therefore extremely small and are all within the tolerance range.
- the correct setting of the elastic coupling is carried out by adjusting the pretension of the expansion rod.
- the expansion rod runs inside the hollow cylindrical valve needle, in the end of which the magnet armature faces a protruding T-shaped end piece, which carries the magnet armature on its transverse part and is thus supported on the valve needle and in the middle part thereof Threaded bore carries.
- the expansion rod is in one end Screwed middle part of the end piece and is supported with its other end on the valve needle. By turning, the expansion rod can be screwed more or less deeply into the threaded hole and thus its pretension can be changed so that the correct antiphase vibration of the two masses is achieved. This requires the measurement of the time course of the stroke of the magnet armature and valve needle, which is easily possible with suitable devices.
- the central part of the end piece has an external thread on which an adapter sleeve is screwed.
- the clamping sleeve defines the membrane that seals the electromagnet from the liquid and, on the other hand, is supported on the end face of the valve needle.
- the electromagnetic switching valve shown in longitudinal section in FIG. 1 has a two-part valve housing 10, consisting of a metallic valve block 11 and a plastic cap 12 placed thereon.
- the cap 12 covers a recess 13 in the valve block 11, in which a through hole 14 opens coaxially.
- a through hole 14 opens coaxially.
- annular groove 15 Approximately in the middle of the through bore 14 is an annular groove 15, into which an outwardly leading transverse bore opens, which forms the fuel inflow 16 of the valve housing 10.
- a further transverse bore opening at a distance from this transverse bore in the through bore 14 and also leading to the outside forms the fuel drain 17 which also ends the through hole 14.
- Through bore 14 and oblique bore 18 are covered in a liquid-tight manner by a cover 19, in which an annular groove 20 is formed, which is connected to the through bore 14 and the oblique bore 18 and to a fuel return, not shown.
- a valve needle 21 is guided axially displaceably, which carries a valve member 22 in the area of the annular groove 15, which cooperates with a valve seat 23.
- the valve seat 23 is annular in shape on the flank of the annular groove 15 facing the fuel outlet 17 and encloses a valve opening 24 between the fuel inlet 16 and the fuel outlet 17.
- the valve needle 21 is actuated by an electromagnet 25 which is housed in the plastic cap 12 with air around it.
- the rotationally symmetrical The trained electromagnet 25 has in a known manner a magnet pot 26 made of soft magnetic material with a coaxial pot core 27 straying away from the pot bottom, an excitation coil 28 enclosing the pot core 27 and a magnet armature 29 opposite the magnet pot 26 and pot core 27 with a working air gap distance.
- an end piece 30 with a T-shaped cross section is secured with its transverse part 301.
- the end piece 30 carries on its middle part 302 an external thread 31 and a coaxial threaded bore 32.
- a clamping sleeve 33 is screwed, which braces the inner edge of an annular membrane 34 on the transverse part 301 of the end piece 30.
- the outer edge of the membrane 34 is fixed between an annular seal 35 lying at the base of the recess 13 and the end face of a screw ring 36 which is screwed into an internal thread 37 in the recess 13.
- the metal membrane 34 is biased against the magnetic force of the electromagnet 25. It thus fulfills two functions, namely on the one hand the sealing of the electromagnet 25 with respect to the liquid-carrying area in the valve block 11 and on the other hand the resetting of the magnet armature 29 when the electromagnet 25 is not energized.
- the crossbar 40 carries a head 41 which is supported on the outside of the crossbar 40.
- the head 41 is provided with an Allen key 42 for inserting a turning tool.
- the head 41 is covered by the cover 19, so that the Allen key 42 is only exposed after the cover 19 has been removed for insertion of the turning tool.
- the expansion rod 38 forms an elastic coupling between the valve needle 21 and the magnet armature 29 of the electromagnet 25, which is set by appropriate pre-tensioning of the expansion rod 38 so that after the valve member 22 impacts the valve seat 23 on the valve seat 23, the magnet armature 29 and the valve needle 21 swing in phase opposition to each other.
- the pretension of the expansion rod 38 can be adjusted by screwing the threaded end of the expansion rod 38 more or less deeply into the threaded bore 32 in the end piece 30.
- valve needle 21 and 3 each show a diagram of the time course of the stroke of valve needle 21 (curve a) and armature 29 (curve b) when the electromagnet 25 is excited.
- 2 shows the correct setting of the pretensioning of the expansion rod 39.
- Valve needle 21 and magnet armature 29 oscillate in phase opposition, the bounce amplitude P A is very small.
- valve needle 21 and magnet armature 29 oscillate in phase.
- the bounce amplitude P A is a multiple of the bounce amplitude in FIG. 2.
- the pretensioning of the expansion rod 39 must be adjusted by means of a turning tool which is inserted into the socket 42 of the head 41 after the cover 19 has been removed.

Abstract
