Definitions
- the invention relates to an AC contactor with an armature actuated by a magnet system, which is in operative connection via a coupling spring with a contact spring holding the movable contact parts of the contact system, which is provided with an additional mass, which is provided by an additional spring against the switch-on direction of the contact carrier is pressed against a stop on the contact carrier.
- Such an AC contactor is known from EP-A-0 174 467.
- the present invention is said to make it even easier to determine the delay. This is achieved in a simple manner in that the additional mass acts on the free movement influencing friction means. The additional mass is thus delayed in both directions. With strong switch-on impacts, rebound damping is achieved, so that there is practically no swinging back of the contact carrier in critical phase positions. Without the damping caused by the friction, the contact carrier swings back, which means that it can hit the anchor several times. As a result, it cannot be avoided that this impingement falls within the range of the stationary holding force valley at 50 or 60 Hz mains frequency, which can tear open the already closed magnet system. The general sensitivity of a magnet system with uneven pole surfaces to the closing behavior is considerably reduced by the invention. This is particularly advantageous if a contactor is used at 50 and 60 Hz mains frequency, because normally a system can only be optimal for one frequency.
- a simple embodiment for the friction means influencing the movement without separate additional parts results if the friction means consist of a prestressed cover which presses on the additional mass with parts.
- the friction means can also be realized with a commercially available part, it also being possible to dispense with a special shape of the cover if the friction means consists of a silicone rubber tube which presses against the other part either in a groove in the contact carrier or in the additional mass.
- the delay of the additional mass can be determined even better if the friction means consist of a convexly bent leaf spring held on the contact carrier, the convex part of which is pressed into a corresponding recess in the additional mass. This results in a progression of the friction effect from the starting position in both directions of movement of the contact carrier.
- a normal, smooth leaf spring to achieve the progressive frictional force can be used if the friction means consist of an additional mass which can be rotated about an axis on the contact carrier and which, opposite the pivot point, rests in an elliptical shape on a leaf spring which is supported in the contact carrier and runs in the direction of movement of the contact carrier.
- a further simple, inexpensive embodiment of the progressive friction results if the friction means consist of an angle spring, the angle of which is supported on the contact carrier and one leg of which presses on a side of the additional mass running parallel to the direction of movement and the other leg forms the additional spring.
- the AC contactor shown in FIG. 1 has a housing 1 in which the magnet system with the core 2 of the coil 3 as well as the armature 4 and the contact carrier 6 spring-loaded by the back pressure spring 5 are mounted.
- the anchor 4 designed as a hinged anchor is pressed by the spring 7 against one leg of the core.
- the armature 4 rests on the intermediate slide 9 which is movable relative to the contact carrier 6 and which in turn is operatively connected to the contact carrier 6 via the coupling spring 10.
- the intermediate slide 9 is pressed against stops 11 of the contact carrier.
- the direction of attack of the anchor is shown by an arrow 12.
- the additional mass 8 is pressed by the additional spring 13 against the direction of movement of the contact carrier 6 in the switch-on direction against the stop 14 on the contact carrier 6.
- the spring 13 is designed as a leaf spring.
- the free ends 15, 16 of the leaf spring are supported on the projections 17 of the contact carrier 6.
- the contact surface of the additional mass 8 on the additional spring 13 is designated 18 in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG.
- there is additionally a friction spring 19 which, on the one hand, engages the side surface 20 of the additional mass 8 which runs parallel to the direction of movement.
- the free ends 21, 22 of the friction spring 19 are supported on a correspondingly designed projection 23 of the contact carrier 6.
- the spherical surface 24 of the friction spring 19 exerts a frictional effect on the additional mass 8, so that a delay is achieved both in the outward and in the return movement is, which delays the rebound of the contact carrier 6. 3, 3a, instead of the friction spring 19, the damping friction is achieved by means of a prestressed cover 25.
- the friction surface 26 on a projection 27 of the cover 25 lies on one of the side surfaces of the additional mass 8. The rest of the additional mass is stored as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, without the lateral friction spring.
- vibration damping of the additional mass 8 is achieved by means of a suitable silicone rubber hose 28, which is inserted into a groove 29 in the additional mass 8.
- the silicone tube 28, which can be bought as an abrasion-resistant material by the meter, rests on one side surface 51 of the contact carrier, whereas the additional mass rests on the other side surface 51 with its other end.
- the additional mass 8 here also carries out a slight rotary movement, which has a favorable effect on the delay time and the damping.
- a progressive frictional force is generated via a lateral leaf spring 30 which has a convexly curved part 31 which engages in a corresponding recess 32 in the additional mass 8.
- the additional mass 8 By engaging the convexly curved part 31 in the recess 32, the additional mass 8 is held in a central position. Since the leaf spring 13 can be dispensed with in this example, there are limit stops 33, 34. As soon as the additional mass moves out of the central position, a progressive frictional force is generated via the side leaf spring 30. Here too there is a time delay for bridging the dynamic holding force valley and the damping via the increasing friction prevents the contact carrier from repeatedly hitting the armature.
- a prestressed leaf spring 35 is present on one side of the additional mass 8 is supported with its free end on the contact carrier 6 and extends in the direction of movement of the contact carrier.
- the additional mass 8 is rotatably mounted on the contact carrier 6 via an axis 36.
- the surface 37 of the additional mass 8, which lies opposite the axis 36, is essentially elliptical, that is to say the radius in the end region of the additional mass 8 is greater than the radius in the central part of the mass, so that the friction increases in both directions with increasing rotational movement of the mass - or coupling force, which is transmitted from the additional mass 8 to the contact carrier 6, increased.
- both the required time delay and the vibration damping of the additional mass 8 are achieved, so that here, too, the contactor drive functions properly at 50 and 60 Hz mains frequency.
- FIGS. 8 and 9 show the current profile in the magnet system, which is designated by 43.
- the line that represents the time course of the opening and closing functions is designated 44 and 45.
- the curve course designated by 47 from FIG. 9 represents the dynamic holding force of the pole faces over time, which corresponds over time to the time course of the diagram according to FIG.
- time 48 shown as a dashed line, the anchor hits the yoke.
- the dashed line 49 represents the point in time in the contact carrier 6 strikes the armature with a delay.
- the back vibration 50 is so low that repeated contact of the contact carrier 6 on the armature is excluded.
- the essential distinction between the diagrams (FIGS. 8 and 9) compared to the prior art E-OS 0 174 467 is that the return vibration 50 is practically no longer significant.

Description
- FIG 1
- FIG 2, 3, 3a, 4
- FIG 5, 6, 7
- erfindungsgemäße Kontaktträgerausführungen, deren Reibkraft beim Schaltvorgang progressiv wirkt.
- FIG 8
