Claims (3)

  1. Zylinder (1) für eine Vorrichtung zum unmittelbaren Stranggießen dünner Bänder aus flüssigem Metall zwischen zwei Zylindern (1) oder auf einem einzigen Zylinder, mit einem zylindrischen inneren Kern (2), der von einem ersten Mantel (3) bedeckt ist, und mit zwischen dem Mantel (3) und dem Kern oder in den Mantel eingearbeiteten Kühlkanälen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er rund um den ersten Mantel einen zweiten Mantel (4) aufweist, der mit dem ersten Mantel zwei übereinanderliegende zylindrische Schichten bildet, deren Materialien derart gewählt sind, daß der innere Mantel (3) einen Ausdehnungskoëffizienten besitzt, der höher ist als der des äußeren, mit dem flüssigen Metall in Berührung stehenden Mantels (4).
  2. Zylinder nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die beiden Mäntel (3, 4), beispielsweise durch Schweißung, durch Beschichtung des einen Materiales mit dem anderen oder durch elektrolytische Ablagerung, miteinander verbunden sind.
  3. Zylinder nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der innere Mantel (3) aus Kupfer ist und der äußere Mantel (4) aus Stahl, Nickel oder Chrom besteht.
