Definitions

  • the invention relates to a packaging for flowable filling goods, in particular milk, juices or the like, consisting of a tube forming the side walls with a cover egg and base, of which the cover has at least one folded-over wall field formed integrally with the tube, an opening device with a spout front end in the Cover is provided and the pouring opening of the opening device is closed by a pool that can be torn open along a line of weakness with a molded plastic handle.
  • a liquid packaging of known type has a lid made up of four such wall fields, which are covered with a metal foil for the improvement of aseptic properties in order to achieve good gas tightness.
  • Narrow gaps are arranged between the individual wall panels, because the cut of the wall panels, which consist of plastic-coated carrier material made of paper, cardboard or the like, is designed such that the cover surface is formed closely next to one another by the wall panels, leaving narrow gaps.
  • Rib-shaped bridges made of plastic are located in these narrow gaps and cover every cut edge of the carrier material, so that the pack is perfectly liquid-tight from the inside.
  • the known pack has punched or cut areas in the wall panels, in which an opening device is also injected together with the plastic bridges.
  • Variously designed opening devices can be formed by the injection molding process with thermoplastic plastics.
  • thermoplastic should be reduced, on the one hand to make the manufacture of the packs cheaper and, on the other hand, to provide better gas tightness if desired, since it is known that the gas barrier properties of thermoplastics are not the best.
  • the person skilled in the art has therefore considered how, on the other hand, the pouring opening could be well sealed by means other than plastic membranes in the area of a molded-on opening device, but could also be torn open.
  • a package of the type mentioned at the outset is already known from EP-A-0.295.423.
  • the pouring opening can be formed by pulling out a tear tab along a perforation line located in the upper floor.
  • the perforation line runs along an oval or circle and must not be interrupted by a rib-shaped plastic bridge.
  • the web made of thermoplastic material with the molded rivet which extends through the top through a hole in the interior of the pack, and the gripping device are located outside and above the top of the pack.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to improve a package for flowable fillings of the type mentioned in such a way that a fluid-tight and easy-to-operate opening device can be fitted, which is inexpensive for the manufacturer even if such a package is produced in large quantities and is distributed.
  • this object is achieved in that the line of weakness extends to the outer edge of the cover, where it opens into or next to a hole in the wall area of the cover which reaches or into the side wall and contains the spout front end and a rib-shaped, web-like strand connected to the handle surrounds which protrudes inwards from the surface of the lid facing the inside of the pack, extends outwards through the hole and is extended by the handle, and that in the case of several wall panels, the edges thereof are connected to one another in a liquid-tight manner by means of injected rib-shaped bridges made of plastic.
  • the plastic also extends from the inside of the lid to the outside through a hole in the lid, as in the case of the last described package, the conditions according to the invention are just reversed or turned upside down.
  • the rib-shaped strand lies in the surface of the lid facing the interior of the package and even protrudes somewhat from this surface to the interior of the package, while the outer surface of the lid is practically smooth and / or flat.
  • the tear-open tab which is known per se in other packs, is advantageously connected according to the invention with the injected rib-shaped strand made of plastic in such a way that the line of weakness is first provided in the carrier material, which is then coated with plastic for tightness. It is therefore sufficient if the carrier material is weakened and the plastic coating remains undamaged on the outside.
  • the molding of the handle which can have the shape of a small flag with ribs, a thread or a loop, for example, is particularly inexpensive according to the invention because the handle on the outside represents the extension of the strand of plastic which essentially runs inside the pack.
  • connection between the plastic strand on the inside and the handle on the outside is made through the hole in the lid wall panel, which means that the packaging manufacturer and the spraying device require particularly inexpensive tools.
  • the user also receives Advantages when opening the previously good fluid-tight opening device, because the weakening line opens near the hole, so that the tearing process begins in the area of the hole and the tear tab adjacent to the hole can then be torn up along the weakening line.
  • the rib-shaped plastic strand located therein is also torn up, because the line of weakness encompasses the plastic strand.
  • the flap along the line of weakness which is essentially only in the material of the wall panel, preferably in the paper coated on both sides with plastic. As is well known, this can be torn quite easily.
  • the tear tab is articulated on the cover at the end opposite the tip of the spout. This measure makes it easier to reclose, because the pull tab is held in place by the linkage on the lid even when the pouring opening is open. To cover the pouring opening when only part of the contents have been emptied, the end user only needs to pull the tab down again while pulling on the molded handle. The tab is automatically guided into its original position and can then be pushed in within the line of weakness.
  • the cover is flat and is formed from at least four triangular wall panels and that the line of weakness is a perforation line running in two adjacent wall panels, which line connects the hole as well as a rib-shaped bridge which connects the two adjacent wall panels surrounds and at the outer end of the hole is punched in at least one wall field.
  • the measures according to the invention permit good stacking and repackaging of packs provided with the new opening device, since the cover is flat, so that several packs can be placed one above the other, although rib-shaped plastic bridges pull the cover in a cross shape.
  • the strand of plastic is thus injected on the inside of the packing lid over an unbroken part or area of the lid field, a hole being provided on the edge of the tube, ie the fold line between the lid wall panel and the side wall.
  • the plastic of the strand extends in the manner described above through this hole from the inside of the pack and extends to the handle described.
  • the weakening or perforation line is located on both sides of the injected strand in the plastic-coated paper, encompassing the hole mentioned.
  • the strand of plastic can run a bit from the edge of the tube into the wall field and end there, preferably in the region of an anchoring hole in the paper, on which the plastic strand is attached by a fungus Paper is holding.
  • This mushroom-shaped mounting button results from the fact that part of the plastic material extends outwards from the interior of the package or at least protrudes outwards through the anchoring opening in the paper.
  • the other embodiment is the one in which the tear-open tab is moved into the corner of the cover and is either part of an injected, rib-shaped bridge made of plastic or is connected to it.
  • the perforation line according to the invention preferably runs half in one wall area of the cover and the other half in the adjacent cover wall area, as a result of which the rib-shaped plastic bridge can be enclosed in a simple manner, so that the advantages mentioned above are achievable.
  • the cover is polygonal and the hole is punched in the contact area of two adjacent wall panels.
  • the tube of the package described according to the invention can be round in cross section, for example circular or oval, but optionally also polygonal and preferably square or square. Blanks for such packs can be produced in a material-saving manner, and the preparations for attaching the opening device according to the invention are extremely simple with inexpensive and therefore robust tools, because only the edges of the wall panels and the hole between two adjacent wall panels need to be punched.
  • the plastic engages around the hole in at least one wall field outwards and inwards in a mushroom-like manner.
  • the cross-section through the injected plastic in the area of the hole is considered.
  • the plastic then encompasses all edge areas of the hole, which not only achieves excellent tightness in the case of liquids, but also gives the possibility of a solid connection between the handle being integrally molded onto the rivet-like plastic compound in the area of the hole the pull tab and handle.
  • the tear-open force is thus guided exactly in the area of the hole at the beginning of the weakening line, so that the tear-open tab can be formed and opened exactly in accordance with the contours provided, without having to consider special types of actuation.
  • the end user only needs to grasp the handle and pull up the pull tab.
  • the pouring opening thereby forms by itself and can even advantageously be closed again in the manner described.
  • the hole and thus the tip of the pouring spout can be placed exactly in one corner of the cover by punching the hole in the area of contact between two adjacent wall fields of, for example, a square cover.
  • the pouring process is particularly well defined in such an arrangement. No special pouring edge is necessary because this is given by the corner area of the pouring opening.
  • the filling material flows across this corner in a clearly defined jet.
  • the new opening device is designed and simplified in such a way that when the pouring process is interrupted and the pack is set down, no contents remain in the corners or recessed areas of the opening device.
  • the strand of plastic connected to the handle ends within the edges of the wall area of the lid and extends outwards from the inside of the pack through an anchoring opening that is spaced from the hole.
  • This can be, for example, a single wall field, within the edges of which the strand of plastic ends when it begins at the upper tube edge.
  • the strand of plastic begins in an area at the shortest distance of 1 to 4 and preferably 2 cm from the lid distance around the anchoring opening, where it is injected during manufacture, for example, then it runs in the direction of the lid edge, which coincides with the upper tube edge, runs there through the hole described and is thus connected to the outside of the pack, where it extends to the handle.
  • This embodiment without plastic bridges can be used universally and still allows the same advantages as described above in connection with the other alternative to be achieved.
  • FIGS. 1 to 6 One of the various types of pack is shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, a pack having a tube 1 with a square cross-section, with the side walls 2 and 3. The other side walls are not shown here.
  • the base can also be formed by folded-over wall panels which are formed in one piece with the tube 1, forming two opposite, double-walled triangular panels which are connected to the interior of the pack.
  • folding closures also block bottoms, are known.
  • the preferred embodiment of the pack shown here has a lid 4 made of four triangular wall panels 5, 6, 7 and 8.
  • the opening device extends from the center 15 of the cover 4 to the spout tip 16.
  • a tear-open tab 17 In between is a tear-open tab 17 which is pulled through a rib-shaped plastic bridge 11 in the middle in the longitudinal direction. Outside, the tear-open tab 17 (at a distance from the central plastic rib 11) is delimited by a line of weakness 18 designed as a perforation line, which, after the tab 17 has been torn up, as shown in FIG. 2, defines the pouring opening 19.
  • a handle 20 is injection molded onto the rib-shaped plastic bridge 11, which here has the shape of a square tab with transverse ribs for has the better grip.
  • the plastic for the injected rib-shaped bridges 11 on the inside of the package and on the other hand of the handle 20 on the outside of the package consists of one piece and extends through a hole 21 which extends both in the wall section 5 and in the wall section 8, for example in half each there, located in the lid 4.
  • This plastic compound, which extends from the inside to the outside through the hole 21, can be seen particularly clearly from FIGS. 4 and 5. It is designated by 22.
  • the point 23 in FIG. 5 shows the mushroom-shaped gripping of this plastic compound 22 in the region of the hole 21.
  • the end user grips the handle 20, which, as in the illustration in FIGS. 4 and 5, can be bent down onto the edge between the side walls 2 and 3 or one of the side walls, bends it up into the position in FIG. 1, where the handle 20 thus lies approximately in the plane of the cover 4 in its extension, and initiates the tearing process at the tip 16 of the spout.
  • the plastic 22 detaches from the side walls 2 and 3, because there is only a small adhesion area there, and forms the tear tab 17 in that the tear force allows the line of weakness 18 to be cut through, while the rib-shaped plastic bridge 11 remains undamaged.
  • the tearing takes place up to the end of the weakening line 18 with respect to the pouring spout 16, ie in the region of the center 15 of the lid 4.
  • the tear-open tab 17 is articulated there. After the pouring opening 19 has been exposed, the position of FIG. 2 is reached in which the tear-open tab 17 stands up at an angle.
  • the filling material can now be poured out over the nozzle tip 16. This lies on the edge of the hole 21 from which the plastic 22 is torn out together with the tear tab 17.
  • FIGS. 7 to 9 show another embodiment of an opening device on a package, the lid of which does not have rib-shaped plastic bridges.
  • the same parts are provided with the same reference numbers in order to simplify reading and understanding.
  • the tube to be assumed to be quadrangular again has a side wall 2 (only this is shown here), which merges into the wall area 8 of the lid via the end edge 12 of the tube on the lid side. It is understood that according to the representation of Figures 7 and 8, the plane of the side wall 2 is perpendicular to that of the wall panel 8. Assuming a square tube, the opening device 14 is located at some point between the corners of the cover and of course in the region of the end edge 12 of the tube on the cover.
  • FIG. 7 shows a broken view of the alternative embodiment of a liquid pack described here, in which the wall panel 8 is looked at.
  • the tear-open tab 17 is defined by the line of weakness 18, which is designed as a perforation line and which starts from the end edge 12 of the tube and runs around the plastic mass 22 in a U-shape.
  • the plastic compound 22 of the injected strand in this embodiment is located, as shown in FIG. 8, partly on the inside of the package and, on the other hand, forms the handle 20 on the outside of the package again.
  • the plastic mass 22 consists of one piece and extends in the same way as in the other embodiment described above through the hole 21 in the coated paper, in the region of the end edge 12 of the tube on the cover side between the side wall 2 and the wall panel 8 of the cover.
  • the hole 21 is also surrounded by the plastic mass 22 of the strand like a mushroom.
  • the plastic strand 22 ends on the inner side opposite the handle 20 at a distance of about 2 to 3 cm the upper end edge 12 of the tube, as indicated in FIG. 7 by the dashed line 24.
  • the viewer of the finished, closed package does not see this in the viewing direction of FIG. 7 any more than the hole 21, which is also indicated by dashed lines in FIG.
  • the viewer sees an anchoring button 25, in the area of which the plastic mass 22 of the strand extends through an anchoring opening 26 from the inside of the package to the outside.
  • FIG. 8 shows the cross section of this anchoring button 25 in a mushroom shape, a preferred embodiment in practice.
  • this line 18 is torn open and is clearly visible to the viewer. It encloses the tear tab 17.
  • FIG. 9 shows a plan view of the processed paper fields 2 and 8 with the hole 21 located in both, in the vicinity of which the U-shaped perforation line 18 ends. You can also see the anchoring opening 26, which is, for example, a circular hole.
  • the weakening or perforation line 18 can be interrupted in the web 27 connecting the two free legs of the U of the weakening line 18, so that there is an articulation for the tear tab 17.
  • the end user grips the handle 20 and pulls it up towards the center of the lid.
  • the plastic mass 22 of the strand separates from the paper in the area of the hole 21, but remains attached to the paper of the tear tab 17 within the dashed line 24 in FIG. 7, so that the weakening line 18 is torn open until the opening device is fully opened.
