Definitions

  • the invention relates to a package for flowable fillings with a tube formed by at least one longitudinal sealing seam, at the ends of which the bottom and lid are attached, of which the lid consists of thermoplastic material without carrier material, is molded onto the tube and has a pouring device, the tube from at least one side with a thermoplastic coated substrate, e.g. There is cardboard, the bottom is square and is formed from the folded tube of the package as a folding closure and has a transverse sealing seam with triangular flaps folded onto an adjacent wall, and the lid and the cross section of the package are round at least in the area of the lid.
  • Such a pack is already known from European publication 052261. Although this pack can be produced using simple tools and it has the advantages of good stability, space utilization and tightness, the end user must grasp the pack on the outside of the tube walls in order to be able to pour or carry it out.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a pack of the type mentioned at the outset which has a handle so that the end user has better handling and transportation options, but essential measures of the known pack must not be lost, such as e.g. Manufactured from a flat cardboard web, low material consumption, etc.
  • the double-walled surface with the gripping opening is triangular in such a way that its upper edge forms a short catheter, its outer folding edge running approximately in the longitudinal direction of the tube forms a long cathete and the two inner folding edges lying one above the other form the hypotenuse.
  • the surface mentioned is best configured as triangular, with each half of the double-walled surface being triangular in the manner described. In the cut, two of these triangular sides can be found mirrored by a fold line, directly adjacent to each other.
  • Such a surface can be conveniently arranged within the web that is to form the tube of the package and can be folded out using known manufacturing and folding machines. In this way, a gripping possibility, handle or a means of transport can be created which is simple, insightful and therefore easy for the end user to use.
  • the stiffening web has ribs extending up to the gripping opening arranged at a distance from the upper edge of the double-walled surface and preferably additionally with at least one edge part of the gripping opening covering stiffening bead is provided.
  • three side walls of the tube viewed in its longitudinal direction, run approximately perpendicular to the square bottom, and the fourth side wall with the handle, viewed transversely from the side onto the double-walled gripping surface, runs obliquely to the longitudinal direction.
  • Packs of the type described here are often grouped together and transported, in particular from the manufacturer to the retail trade. The above measures enable a good and space-saving stacking possibility within a collecting container, although a handle on the package is arranged on one side.
  • the length of the upper edge of the double-walled gripping surface which represents the short catheter, is approximately equal to the radius of the round lid.
  • Such an embodiment has proven to be very durable, and the end user can then move the pack particularly cheaply when emptying and handling.
  • Another expedient embodiment is characterized in that an elongated plastic cover strip is sealed on the inside of the tube along at least part of the interconnected inner folding edges of the grip surface.
  • this improves the strength of the double-walled gripping surface, such that one of the triangular walls is not detached from the other by the pressure of the contents in the package, on the other hand, it also prevents liquid from sticking between the two triangular surfaces in the presence of small, incorrect channels can.
  • a plastic cover strip is sealed on the inside of the tube along at least a partial height of each of the inner folding edges forming the gripping surface.
  • This sealing of the additional plastic cover strip introduces an additional amount of plastic into the area in question, so that the sealing is particularly strong here and there is a guarantee that a filled package cannot burst open insofar as the two triangular walls which form the grip surface , be pulled apart.
  • the surfaces of the lid and base should be arranged parallel to one another; even if the floor is square or rectangular. If, as mentioned above, such a package is to be produced from a running web, the cut must essentially result from this web.
  • the person skilled in the art easily understands that when a handle is attached to a round tube, outer edges are produced in the cut which are not a clear straight line in the direction of the running path. It is therefore provided that the two opposite end edges of the blank, located on the lid and on the bottom, have complementarily curved transition areas between its central and its outer areas.
  • transition regions on the side of the triangular web sections on the side are bent out toward the upper edge of the double-walled surface, so that on the opposite side, i. at the other end of the blank, a corresponding rounded transition area must be provided by drawing in towards the center of the blank. This is achieved by choosing the material for the transverse sealing seam in the block bottom area so wide that sufficient sealing surface remains even in the recess.
  • the invention is further embodied in that the longitudinal rope seam forming the tube is formed by connecting opposite inner sides, projecting over one side over the other and folding the protruding edge with tacking on the outside of the tube.
  • a longitudinal sealing seam to form a tube by sealing an outer edge of the tube onto an inner edge, such a sealing seam being able to be described as "overlapping”. This then exposes a cut edge to the inside of the tube. Liquid could penetrate the open and unprotected carrier material (paper or cardboard) into this cut edge and cause it to swell. This known phenomenon can be avoided by sealing a protective strip (edge protection). Such a measure is unnecessary when using the features as described above.
  • a package containing or holding, for example, two liters of liquid, preferably milk, can thus be created, the tube material of which is a flat-lying sheet of carrier material coated with plastic and the final state of which is the cylindrical shape described with the handle attached, taking into account the user habits, ie the package can be opened, reclosed and handled for casting.
  • Another preferred embodiment is characterized in that the longitudinal sealing seam is arranged in the edge region of the grip surface perpendicular to the cover. While the grip surface in the above-described blank comes to lie in the central region, in the embodiment just described there is one layer of the double-layered grip surface on the edge of the blank. On one side, i.e. Also at the edge of the blank is the longitudinal sealing seam, which is directly connected to the one layer of the adjacent gripping surface via a fold line.
  • This embodiment has several advantages. Since each seam, including the longitudinal sealing seam of the tube, forms a weak point of a liquid pack, it is particularly advantageous if the area of the longitudinal sealing seam, which is located on the grip surface, is removed from contact with the liquid by this cut.
  • the longitudinal seal is held at more than 2/3 of the package height without contact with the liquid.
  • Another advantage is the additional stiffness in the handle, which understandably increases considerably by applying the longitudinal seal seam.
  • Another advantage that cannot be overlooked is that the arrangement of the gripping surface layers in the edge regions of the blank leaves the central region in one piece and smooth. This results in a better display area, i.e. a large area that passes from one grip surface position to the other in one piece and continuously without interruption by a seam or another interface.
  • This display area is used for printing, as is already known to consumers in similar packs. In printing technology, one would like to avoid a shift in the overall picture, for example due to a separation by an interface. This succeeds particularly cheaply with this second embodiment.
  • the finished pack for flowable filling goods shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 consists of a total of 1 side walls, because in this embodiment a round cross-section is provided in the area of the lid 2 (because the lid 2 covering the open tube at the top, without the stiffening web) -circular), so that one could only differentiate between four side walls only on the end wall side forming the bottom 3.
  • only side walls 1 are mentioned here.
  • These are shaped into a tube as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 and connected along the longitudinal sealing seam 4, which is omitted in the illustration of FIGS. 2 to 5, for the final formation of the closed tube.
  • the person skilled in the art knows that the longitudinal sealing seam 4 extends into the bottom 3. This also results from the blank shown in FIG. 9, the block bottom of which need not be described in more detail here.
  • the pack i.e. the tube after folding the block bottom 3 has the height H, which, taking into account the cut of FIG. 9, is somewhat smaller than the section length L, as will be mentioned.
  • the cover 2 which is only made of thermoplastic material without a carrier material, is molded onto the tube 1, specifically at the circular upper edge, which is not shown here.
  • the lid 2 is injected in the form of the use form, as shown in Figure 1.
  • the design according to FIGS. 2 and 3 is the form of transport in which the pouring device, which is generally designated by 13, points towards the inside of the package it is folded in that no individual parts of the pouring device 13 protrude beyond the upper edge 6. This ensures perfect stability and good repackaging (using shrink films or the like).
  • the pouring device 13 shown here is seated in the center of the cover 2 in the form of a ring collar 14 which projects upwards outwards, as shown in FIG. 1, the upper edge 15 of which is connected to a sealing plug 16 with a welded gripping ring 17.
  • the connection point is designated 23.
  • the hinge for the sealing plug 16 is not shown in more detail, because the creation of a pouring device 13 is known and is not important for the explanation of the present invention.
  • the stiffening web 30 which is particularly clearly shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and is integrally overmolded with the cover 2 over the upper edge 31 of a double-walled surface 32 with a gripping opening 33 located therein.
  • the lid 2 sprayed onto the edge of the tube is extended radially towards one side, in the form of a web (stiffening web 30) which is sprayed onto the top edge 31 of the gripping surface 32.
  • the gripping surface or double-walled surface 32 consists of a carrier material coated with plastic, e.g. Cardboard, adjoins the tube wall 1 and is formed from the cut of the same in such a way that, with appropriate folding, a handle (32, 33) can be formed in that two parts of the tube wall 1, preferably triangular in the present case, are folded onto one another are and thus form the double-walled triangular surface 32 mentioned.
  • a handle 32, 33
  • the shape and arrangement of the gripping surface 32 from FIG. 2 is more interesting.
  • the upper edge 31 forms a short triangle catheter, which forms the outer folding edge 34 that runs approximately in the longitudinal direction of the tube (in the longitudinal direction of the sealing seam 4 according to FIG. 1) long cathete and the two inner fold edges 35, 36 lying on top of each other form the hypotenuse.
  • the stiffening web 30 is provided with ribs 37 which can be integrally formed on the web 30 and at the same time can be injected during the spraying process. These ribs extend downward from the stiffening web 30 in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the tube 1 approximately to the gripping opening 33, which is arranged at a distance from the upper edge 31 of the double-walled surface 32.
  • the ribs 37 end at that edge or at that end of the gripping opening 33 which faces the stiffening web 30.
  • a stiffening bead 38 overlaps the edge of the grief opening 33 by connecting the two free ends of the ribs 37.
  • the overall structure of the gripping surface 32 with stiffening web 30 has considerable strength and rigidity.
  • FIG. 2 clearly shows that the fourth side wall, which lies opposite the longitudinal sealing seam 4, namely the wall with the handle 32, 33, runs at an angle to the longitudinal direction.
  • this fourth side wall itself consists of three parts, the best possible description being given in FIG. 3.
  • the lower, triangular part 40 borders on the bottom 3 and the other two parts of this side wall in turn border on the lower part 40, are separated by the double-walled gripping surface 32 and pass into the tube wall 1 or form parts thereof.
  • this lower corner point which is the intersection of the long catheter 34 and the hypotenuse 35, 36, lies at a distance from the floor 3. This distance is meant in the sense of the illustration in FIG. 2, from which this distance of the Point P from the bottom line, which represents the bottom 3, can clearly define. This distance should not exceed about 1/3 of the height H of the pack and can also become zero, which means that the point P has migrated below into the plane of the bottom 3. Then the triangular surface 40 according to FIG. 3 is omitted.
  • FIGS. 4 and 5 show two embodiments in which a plastic cover strip, designated 41, 42 and 43, is sealed longitudinally on the inner folding edge 35 or 36 of the grip surface 32.
  • This strip serves to hold the two triangular wall halves of the grip surface 32 together, thereby also in the area of the strip 41; 42, 43 an ingress of liquid into an approximately existing space within the double-walled grip surface 32 is prevented.
  • a cover strip is sealed along the two inner folding edges 35 and 36 arranged directly next to one another, both overlapping at the same time
  • the other embodiment according to FIG. 5 shows that already beforehand, a separate strip, which is labeled 42 on one side and 43 on the other side, is sealed onto the blank on each inner folding edge 35 and 36.
  • FIGS. 6 and 7 schematically show how a longitudinal sealing seam 4 can be formed by sealing the two opposite inner sides of the web material for the tube to one another. If the strands 44 projecting outwards in FIGS. 6 and 7 are then folded over in the sense of FIG. 8 so that the inside of the left wall part with the strip 44 comes to lie on the outside wall side of the opposite wall part according to FIG. 8, and there at 45 seals, then the otherwise usual edge protection is no longer necessary with the overlapping longitudinal sealing seams 4.
  • FIG. 9 shows the blank for the tube of a pack according to FIG. 1, the running direction of the carrier material web being shown by the arrow 46 ".
  • the front edge consists in the middle and symmetrically on both sides of the folding line 34 of a straight piece of length a, which is equal to twice the length of the top edge 31, namely twice the length of the short catheter, it is assumed here that the longitudinal sealing seam 4 is provided on the side edges, but what is more important is the position of the point P with respect to the folded edge 7, which is the boundary line between the block bottom 3 and the remaining surface through which the tube or the side walls are formed. While the exact distance of the upper edges 31 lying in line to one another is 7L ", the height of the pack is H. Between these two lines there is a strip with curved transition areas.
  • this offset L-H is approximately equal to 1/10 of the diameter of the tube end on the cover 2 when the pack is erected at the top.
  • the point P migrates downward into the folded edge 7, i.e. if the distance of the point P from the bottom edge 7 becomes zero, then the point P should also lie in a corner of the block bottom, which is denoted for example in FIG. 9 with 47 or as an alternative point with 47 '.
  • the offset i.e. the width of the strip at the front and rear ends of the web does not have an abrupt transition towards the center but the rounded transition region designated by 46. It can be seen from FIG. 9 that the transition area on each side makes up about 1/3 of the half of the tube circumference, the 3/3 shown in FIG. 9 at the top right making up 1/2 tube circumference (the material for the longitudinal seal seam is neglected here) .
  • this transverse sealing seam 9 is large or wide enough so that in the central region of the gripping surface 32 or this triangular surface 40 in FIG. 9 there is enough material for a good sealing seam.
  • FIG. 9 Another cut for a second embodiment is shown in FIG.
  • the same parts with the same reference numbers are identified in FIG. 9. Matching conditions therefore do not need to be discussed separately in the description either.
  • the fold line 34 has migrated outwards here and coincides with the fold line via which the longitudinal sealing seam 4 is connected to the rest of the material of the blank.
  • the point P is therefore also on the edge of the longitudinal sealing seam 4, which can be seen on the left in FIG. 10. It runs in the running direction 46 "of the material web.
  • the upper edge 31 is shifted to the edge, as is the respective individual position of the gripping surface 32 in which the gripping opening 33 is arranged.
  • the length of this upper edge 31 is a / 2.
  • the front-side transition regions 46 (seen in the running direction at the top in FIG. 10) are also further displaced to the edge in this second embodiment.
  • the longitudinal seal seam 4 comes in the embodiment according to FIG. 10 above point P, i.e. no longer in contact with the liquid over a range of more than 2/3 of the packing height H, so that the risks of leakage are thereby considerably reduced.
  • the two layers of the grip surface 32 arranged on the right and left outside in the embodiment of FIG. 10 are glued to one another for erecting and finishing the pack, folding the longitudinal sealing seam 4 on the folding line 34 results in an additional considerable rigidity.
  • the middle area on the other hand, there remains a smooth and continuous surface for an imprint which can no longer be disturbed by offset, as may possibly be the case with the package according to FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 11 finally shows the same sectional illustration as FIG. 5, but with the other arrangement of the longitudinal sealing seam being shown at the front end at the bottom in FIG. While the two layers of the grip surface 32 in FIG. 5 are only connected by the fold line 34, it is in the embodiment of FIG. 11 around a welded connection via the longitudinal sealing seam 4 itself,
