PCT No. PCT/AT90/00002 Sec. 371 Date Sep. 10, 1990 Sec. 102(e) Date Sep. 10, 1990 PCT Filed Jan. 5, 1990 PCT Pub. No. WO90/07387 PCT Pub. Date Jul. 12, 1990.In an arrangement for the application of substances to a web of material (4), whereby a doctor blade (9, 13) is magnetically pressed against the material or a stencil (5) by means of a working magnet, and rests against a profiled ledge (6) in its operational position, it is proposed that in the profiled ledge (6) at least one restraining magnet (7) be provided, which keeps the doctor blade (9, 13) in rolling or sliding contact with the profiled ledge when the working magnet is switched off and raises it from the application surface (4, 5) or stencil.

Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for applying substances to web-shaped material (application surface), comprising a doctor blade which can be pressed magnetically onto the application surface or a stencil by means of a working magnet and a profiled strip arranged at a fixed, in particular adjustable distance from the application surface, with a lower surface facing the application surface and at least one side surface extending transversely to the lower surface and transversely to the application surface, at least one holding magnet being arranged in the profile strip, by means of which the squeegee is lifted off the application surface or template when the working magnet is reduced and held on the profile strip by means of a contact surface assigned to the holding magnet becomes.
It is already known to arrange a magnetic table or a magnetic roller opposite a doctor blade roller, which presses the roller doctor blade made of magnetizable material onto the web or a stencil and a material lying in front of the roller doctor blade in the further movement of the stencil or the doctor blade Introduces web. In order to prevent the roll doctor from emigrating, it has also already been proposed to arrange a support strip behind the roll doctor (see Melliand Textile Reports 68 (1987) pages 351-352, in particular picture 4a or EP-A-0 297 528); this is of particular interest in the case of roller doctor blades with a small diameter, since it can prevent the substance to be applied from flowing over the upper region of the roller doctor blade and thus also reaching the web behind the roller doctor blade. In another embodiment, a so-called ink jam bar, seen in the direction of movement of the web, is arranged in front of the roller squeegee and this ink jam bar influences the application process depending on the dimension and location, ie distance from the application level.
A disadvantage of this prior art is that in the event of an interruption in operation, the doctor element and the profiled strip have to be handled separately, which requires a greater amount of work and that there is a risk when using doctor rollers, in which the ratio between diameter and length is very large that the doctor blades are bent and then can no longer be used. The smaller the diameter and the greater the length, ie in the case of large working widths, the greater the risk of bending and the more carefully the doctor blades must be handled.

A generic device is known from DE-A-24 37 006. At the bottom of a ink jam bar, which is in the doctor blade mode magnets must be spaced from a roller squeegee arranged. Around the squeegee for cleaning or removal to keep supported, the underside of the ledge must go through Lowering brought into contact with the roller squeegee and then be lifted together with the latter. - At a other known device (leaflet "combination squeegee", Johannes Zimmer, 1975, back side - the combination squeegee MRS II-G) is between a roller squeegee and a swivel profile Clearance is provided to free the swivel profile above the squeegee to be able to pivot. If production is interrupted, this must Swivel profile with a longitudinally attached to it on the outside Magnetic strip can be swiveled out of the working position, thus the squeegee on the underside of the magnetic poles the magnetic bar can jump. The squeegee is temporary unsupported and there is a special coordination of the Positioning, swiveling profile movement and switching off of the working magnet required.

The invention aims to address the disadvantages of the prior art Technology eliminating arrangement are created in which the Squeegee and the profile bar not only for cleaning as a unit are manageable, but also during doctor operation form a functional unit, with the additional risk of bending largely of doctor blades with a small diameter should be avoided.

The objectives of the invention are in connection with the Characteristics of the arrangement mentioned in the introduction achieved that the squeegee or an element holding it in on the application surface or squeegee working position pressed onto the template at a forming the contact surface Profile strip side faces and that every holding magnet at a distance from the lower end of the profile bar in this way is inserted that he was the Squeegee when the working magnet is switched off under Pressure on the profile strip side surface and under Sliding or rolling system this from the application area or the template lifts off, holding onto the profile strip side surface and in a rest position resting on the profile strip side surface brings.

The invention has made it possible Doctor element and profile strip as a functional unit handle. It is also no longer required at a production interruption either the template movement to interrupt, or the doctor elements to remove from the templates, but characterized in that the doctor element in the event of production interruption the stencils can be lifted be rotated further without this being disadvantageous Would have consequences. Self-positioning also occurs the profile bar and thus the doctor element one and it is now possible to have the most varied Use types of doctor elements and also optionally with roller blades of various diameters to work.

The invention will become more apparent from the drawings described. 1 and 2 show two exemplary embodiments the device according to the invention. Fig. 3 shows a detail, in particular for the embodiment 1, FIGS. 4 and 5 to 8 are further embodiments the invention, as well as the Fig. 9 and 10.

Fig. 1 zeigt eine erfindungsgemäße Einrichtung 1 in einfachster Bauform. Above a level magnetic table a web in the direction of movement 3 4 is a profile bar 6 pivotally arranged. At a distance from the lower end the profile bar 6 is a magnetic bar 7 or there may be several arranged in series Holding magnets used. Preferably, the Magnetic strip 7 or the series of magnets completely surrounded by the material of the profile bar 6. The profile bar 6 is on as a material feed trained tube 10 attached and the pivoting can be done about the axis 12 of the tube. How one can see from the drawing that ends Profile bar 6 in front of a template 5 or at a distance to the web 4. In addition to the pivotability can also be given a height adjustment to adapt to different material thicknesses or to ensure roll diameter. On the front surface 8 of the profile strip in the direction of movement 6 is a roller doctor 9, which is in the operating state from the working magnet 2 to the template 5 or is pressed against the web 4. Becomes the working magnet 2 switched off in the magnetic table, the occurs Magnetic strip 7 in operation and the doctor blade 9 is from the template 5 or Web 4 lifted and lifted in this State of the magnetic bar 7 on the surface 8 held, i.e. the doctor roller 9 is both in the operating state (full lines) as well as when switched off Condition (shown in dashed lines) on surface 8 pressed, regardless of how large the diameter the doctor blade is so that this diameter can be selected down to 3 mm. The smaller the diameter or less the weight, all the more doctor element 9 is held more firmly and securely, even when washing the device. In addition 1 in FIG. 1 also in the direction of movement 3 a doctor element 13 is provided on the rear side 11, so that the device also as a traffic jam or Leakage can be used. Because the Profile bar 6 is pivotable during the Operating state of the substance jam angle before Doctor roll 9 and thus the order result changed will.

In addition, as shown in Fig. 2, it is possible is, at the same time on the front surface 8 also on the rear surface 11 a doctor roll 9 or 13 to be provided. By slight pivoting can either the doctor blade 9 or brought the doctor blade 13 over the center of the magnetic table be in working condition on the template 5 or web 4 are pressed. The doctor element 9 or 13 which is not used is replaced by the magnetic bar 7 from the template 5 or Web 4 lifted off and lifted off in this Condition kept. In addition, the profile bar 6 incorporated a width distribution device 15, i.e. Channels that branch and their Diameter becomes smaller and smaller, then the Substance via the outlet 14 in the area in front of the Profile bar 6 is coming. If a doctor element 13 on the rear side 11 of the profile bar 6 used, so can also have a stop bracket 16 be present, as shown in Fig. 3 in more detail. To a better fit or roll up of the doctor element 13, the end part of the profile bar 6 formed as a nose 17 and provided with a curve.

It is in this embodiment (Fig. 2) possible, the substance applied with the roller 9 press in again with roller 13, or, if the roller 13 as a coating rod similar to Fig.4 or 8 is formed to elapse.

Bei ausgeschaltetern Betrieb hebt die Haftmagnetleiste das Rakelelement 9 in die strichlierte, d.h. abgehobene,Stellung.4 shows a further advantageous arrangement, made possible by the present invention becomes. It is namely possible through the invention also non-rotating, round and / or differently profiled, deflection-sensitive doctor elements use whatever application technology new opportunities opens up. According to the current status of Technology, it was impossible to loosely insert sticks and use. As can be seen from Fig.4 can, a support 18 is attached to the profile bar 6. This attachment can be mechanical, e.g. by a screw or even through the holding magnet 7. A rod 19 is inserted into the carrier 18, which rotates the actual doctor element 9, but bears vertically. In the operating state that is made of magnetizable material existing squeegee element pulled down and pressed against the web 4 or the template 5. When operation is switched off, the magnetic holding bar lifts the doctor element 9 in the dashed, i.e. withdrawn, position.

The rotation-disabled stopping of round bars is an inventive measure that is surprising Effect. Stopping the role, i.e. so the functional conversion of a doctor blade in a round rod, has one depending on the substance measurable change in the quantity applied Consequence, so that the technologically high quality doctor blade application technology thereby even more flexible and varied in applicability without there is a noteworthy cost. It is of course also possible to use the doctor element to train as a stick on the surface 8 is raised and lowered smoothly. Another Possibility is to use a round profile bar with preference very small diameter with rotation to connect a profile bar of rectangular cross-section, which is loosely arranged in a holder and is secured against tipping.

Fig.5 zeigt eine weitere Ausführungsform. Fig. 5 shows another embodiment. Here is attached to the profile bar 6 a profile body 20. This carries a doctor blade 21 which is attached to the Template 5 or the web 4 is pressed. Further there is a groove 22 in the profile body 20, which forms the receiving space for a doctor roller 9. In this space the substance is made through breakthroughs 23 introduced. Through the doctor blade 21 Steel or plastic, the order quantity and - quality controlled. This facility is special for thin substances and for small ones Quantities advantageous. By choosing the diameter the doctor blade 9 can be the effective exit slot for the substance to the template 5 or to the web 4 set. The exit slot is designated 24.

Another embodiment is shown in FIG. Here are two magnetic strips or rows of holding magnets 7 and 25 available. Through the Choice of a second row of magnets or one second magnetic strip 25 can be in a groove 26 also on the rear side 11 of the profile bar 6 a doctor element 13 are held. At this embodiment, the individual Holding magnets narrower than in the embodiments 1 and 2 are made and thus closer provided on the corresponding contact surfaces 8 and 11 will. This will make the magnets come better to the effect. It is also possible to use the contact surfaces in the contact area of the doctor element 9 or 13 also to be arched. In this embodiment is next to the main feed 27 Width distribution tube 28 is present, which is fed in the middle and the substance via the outlets 14 delivers. When dismantling the profile strip is around Pivoted 180 °, so that substance residues in the Channel 29 can drain.

Fig.7 ist eine andere Ausführungsform der Erfindung. Figure 7 is another embodiment of the invention. Here is a recess 31 in the profile bar 6 incorporated, in which a doctor blade 13 is also located. The holding magnet 7 between the recess 31 and the front surface 8 causes both the Squeegee on the surface 8 as well as the squeegee in the recess 31 when the working magnet is switched off the adjacent surface pressed and from the template 5 or the web 4 lifted off becomes. The recess 31 can also be similar to a plain bearing be trained. In addition, above the recess 31 there is a second holding magnet be on the squeegee 13th acts. Of course, here too it is possible if there are two squeegees; namely 9 and 13, to bring one of these doctor blades into the rest position, what by pivoting or moving the Profile bar 6 can be done. Of course it is also possible to fix the rolls here, so that a round rod is available. Also the insertion of profile bars with others Profiles or a doctor blade is possible.

Fig.8 shows an embodiment in which the Profile bar 6 is provided with an additional bar 33, which carries a blade 34 at its lower end and so limited a color space 32. There is one in the color space rotationally fixed round rod doctor blade 35 is provided.

If the doctor element e.g. the doctor roller 13 the rear surface 11 of the profile bar 6 rests, can the lower surface 36 of the profile bar 6 as a storage surface be used. This is particularly true in Fig. 3 clearly seen. To that in the space between the storage surface 36 and the template 5 or the material web 4 to be applied material a pressure is exerted by this storage area, which supports the application process. The effect the storage area 36 becomes stronger the closer the Profile bar 6 opposite the application area template is used. Due to the pivotability the profile bar 6 can during Operating state of the substance jam angle before Doctor element, i.e. the area 36 and thus the order result changed be there through this Substance congestion angle is the one exerted on the material Pressure can be controlled and therefore the per unit area applied amount of material checked can be.

Since it is possible according to the invention, depending on Swivel position of the profile bar 6 with the front Doctor element 9, which rests on the surface 8, or with the doctor element 13, which rests on the surface 11, to work, there is the great advantage that in in the former case apply the material sparingly and in the the latter case can be plentiful. You get so a variety by the invention in a simple manner of ways to arbitrarily apply the application process to influence, on the one hand by that the profile bar 6 both as a retaining bar for a Doctor element as well as a jam and sealing strip can use, and on the other hand with the profile bar the most varied of doctor elements in a simple manner can be used, the use the profile bar 6 as a storage bar in simple Way by changing the congestion angle or the distance the profile bar to template 5 and application area the order quantity controlled even further can be.

The doctor blade can in accordance with the embodiments 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 on one of the two Inner walls of the incorporated in the profile bar 6 Sealing recess in the operating state apply so that the penetration of application substance seen from the direction of movement 3, application area in front of the doctor element, at the end of which the doctor element rests, not in those behind the doctor element 9, 13, 20 and 35 Area of the application area.

If you spread the magnetic field in the magnetic table makes, so the magnet 2 in the magnetic table on the Doctor elements 9 and 13 on both sides of the profile bar 6 act and there is then the possibility the doctor elements 9 and 13 on both sides of the To keep profile bar 6 in the work or rest position.

In addition to the advantages, the invention has various Use types of squeegees, even the The advantage of lifting the squeegee when production is interrupted the templates continued to rotate self-positioning also occurs the profile bar 6 and thus the squeegee. Man can be used with a variety of roller blades Working diameter and cleaning and handling is practically like a "one-piece" Device.

In die Leiste 43 ist die permanentmagnetische Leiste 7 oder, dieser funktionsgleich, eine Reihe nebeneinanderliegend angeordneter Haftmagnete eingesetzt, so daß die Leiste 201 außerhalb des Betriebszustandes an der Fläche 50 magnetisch angeheftet ist.9 shows a doctor blade profile strip 201, which with a flexurally elastic and thus ever Brushable edge that can be deformed according to doctor pressure 34 is provided. In the bar 43 is the permanent magnetic Bar 7 or, this functionally the same, one Row of holding magnets arranged side by side used so that the bar 201 outside of the operating state on the surface 50 magnetic is pinned.
