Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for treating flat material, in particular for stencil printing or for coating with liquid or pasty substances, consisting of a magnetic strip and two rollers in contact with one another, rotatably and movably mounted in the direction of the flat material, the two Rollers are arranged on the opposite side of the sheet material from the magnetic bar.
- a device for treating flat material in particular for stencil printing or for coating with liquid or pasty substances, consisting of a magnetic strip and two rollers in contact with one another, rotatably and movably mounted in the direction of the flat material, the two Rollers are arranged on the opposite side of the sheet material from the magnetic bar.
- Such devices have become known in a wide variety of embodiments. In general, however, they have at least one roller-shaped or strip-shaped magnet, which attracts a magnetizable roller.
- the flat material is processed in a treatment zone according to the respective requirements, the treatment zone being formed between the strip-shaped or roller-shaped magnet and the magnetically pressed roller.
- Such a device suitable for flat screen printing is described, for example, in AT-A-206 395.
- the magnetizable roll is inserted into a flat template without guidance and is magnetically attracted by a magnetic roller arranged below the flat template and the material to be treated, which may be carried by a conveyor belt. By moving the magnetic roller along the flat template, the magnetizable roller is taken along and applies the color substance contained in the flat template to the flat material.
- a major advantage of such devices is that the magnetizable roller exerts a very uniform line pressure on the flat material to be treated, even with very long lengths or working widths.
- doctor blades with very small diameters are required, which, however, can only be magnetically pressed with a limited force due to magnetic saturation.
- AT-A-295 456 describes a laminating device which has a strip-shaped magnet.
- This magnet consists of a number of electromagnets with north and south poles spaced apart in the direction of movement of the flat material to be treated.
- Two magnetically pressed rollers are arranged above the rows of poles, on which in turn a pressure roller of larger diameter rests. This pressure roller forms the magnetic yoke.
- the laminating device described is not suitable for such processing operations, since the magnetic field extends normally to the strip-shaped magnet.
- AT-A 333 234 Another device with magnetically effected contact pressure is described in AT-A 333 234.
- This device is used for satinizing flat material and has two magnetic, fixed rollers. The flat material is deflected around one of these rollers, and a work roller of small diameter is inserted into the gap formed between the rollers.
- this device is also only for its assigned purpose and not for general use.
- a calender is known in which two rolls of different diameters in contact with one another are used. These rollers are supported in long slots at their ends and the roller with a larger diameter is pressed against by a magnet which has pole faces spaced apart from one another in the direction of movement of the flat material, so that the magnetic field runs normal to the roller axis. It is easy to see that this device can only be used for rolling operations or the like.
- FR-A-1 417 558 relates to a device of the type outlined at the outset, but only the arrangement of two parallel doctor rollers is described. which are pressed on the one hand by a common pressure roller and on the other hand kept at a distance.
- the invention is based on the fact that it is possible and expedient to assign a separate printing roller to each doctor roller. However, a way still had to be found to ensure that the printing roller remained exactly in its unstable position or the doctor blade roller.
- the invention was therefore based on the object of providing a device which is as suitable as possible for all processing or treatment processes, in particular, however, for stencil printing on flat material, in which the aforementioned problems are avoided and the contact pressure of the pressure-exerting rollers is essentially independent of whose diameter can be adjusted.
- the two rollers are arranged one above the other in a cage, which is designed as a normal to the flat material, U-shaped profile in cross section, on the side walls of which the rollers are guided, and that the wall of the cage facing the Auftrassubstanz has a storage area for the order substance.
- two cages arranged at a distance from one another form the side walls of a box-shaped container for the order substance.
- Fig. 1 shows a doctor device according to the prior art, which consists of a magnetic strip 1 or a magnetic roller 1 'and a single application roller 2 made of magnetizable material; between which the processing zone for the flat material 6 is. If either the doctor device is moved in the direction of arrow 11 or the material surface 6 to be applied is moved in the processing plane in the direction of arrow 11 'between the locally stationary doctor device and becomes liquid or pasty in the area lying in front of the application roller 2 in the direction of movement Application substance 12 applied to the material surface 6, so the roller 2, according to its relatively large diameter, can move or hold a relatively large amount of the substance 12 and thus either cover a relatively long processing path or carry out an application process which is large Amount of substance 12 consumed without the need to re-add application substance 12.
- FIG. 2 shows a representation similar to that in FIG. 1, with the difference that the application roll 2 has a diameter approximately half as large as the application roll 2 shown in FIG. 1. Accordingly, it can only process a considerably smaller amount of the application substance 12 transport or hold in front of you. Since this smaller roller 2 shown in FIG. 2, according to its cross-section, also has a considerably lower magnetizing base mass, the magnetic contact pressure on the flat material is correspondingly lower.
- the smaller application roll 2 shown in FIG. 2 can only perform considerably less job work than the application roll 2 of larger diameter and correspondingly greater mass shown in FIG. 1.
- the contact pressure indicated by the arrow 10, like the application substance 12, is approximately dependent on the size of the roll diameter in the ratio of the number of squares.
- FIG 3 shows a device designed according to the invention. This device can be arranged stationary, the flat material 6 being moved between the magnetic bar 1 and the roller 2, or the flat material 6 is stationary and the device is being moved in the working plane.
- the material surface to be processed can also be attached to an existing conveyor belt and covered by a template (which can be flat or round).
- the diameter of the application roller 2 shown in FIG. 4, which is adjacent to the magnet 1, 1 ', is only about a quarter as large as the diameter of the application roller 2 shown in FIG. 1. Due to the further roller 3, the diameter of which is comparatively approximately corresponds to the roller diameter shown in Fig. 2 - but the diameter of this roller 3 is possible in any size - with full magnetic saturation of the roller 3, a contact pressure which is several times greater than the mass of the application roller 2 in Fig. 4 would correspond .
- the substance volume shown in FIG. 4 is approximately the same as the substance volume shown in FIG. 1, although the diameter of the application roller 2 shown in FIG. 4 is only about a quarter of the roller diameter shown in FIG. 1.
- the magnetizable mass of the application roller 2 shown in FIG. 4, on the other hand, is only about 1/16 of the application roller 2 shown in FIG.
- Another advantage of the invention which is very important in practice, is that an application or processing roller of relatively small diameter can still exert a greater line pressure than a roller of larger diameter with the same total pressing force.
- the numbers 8 and 8 'in FIG. 4 show that this embodiment of the device according to the invention can also be used for flat or round stencil printing in addition to direct or full-surface application.
- the cage 4 can consist of a one-piece profile made of slidable plastic, magnetizable strips 15, 15 ', 15 ", on which the magnetic force field 5' acts, being inserted in openings of this profile. This causes the cage 4 to act on the apex 14 of the roller 3 and thus also presses on the roller 2.
- the inventive idea therefore allows the possibility that both the roller 3 and possibly also other rollers arranged in the same principle, as well as the cage 4, can consist of magnetizable material.
- the cage 4 has been given the additional function of forming a liquid retention gap 16 on the side facing the template or processing surface.
- the arrow 17-17 ' shows that the cage 4, as shown in the example of FIG. 5, can be pivoted about the axis of the roller 2 in both directions, as a result of which the stowage gap 16 is reduced or enlarged, which increases or decreases the order quantity causes.
- Fig. 6 shows a device according to the invention, which is preferably intended for dewatering, i.e. for squeezing tissue webs, the device being arranged stationary and the tissue web to be treated stretching in the direction of arrow 11 'from below, e.g. from a liquid bath - through the gap formed between magnetic strip 1 or magnetic roller 1 'and roller 2 upwards - e.g. is guided into a drying machine: the cage 4, which also serves to guide the two rollers 2 and 3 used in the example in FIG. 9 or, when the magnetic field is switched off, to hold the rollers in their position, is constructed in two parts and by the Numbers 4 and 4 'marked.
- the number 3 'de notes the position in which the roller 3 can be replaced if necessary.
- Roll 2 can be changed in the same way.
- FIG. 7 shows a variant of the inventive concept similar to FIGS. 4 and 5, wherein either the device is moved in the direction of arrow 11 or the material surface to be processed is moved in the direction of arrow 11 '.
- the front part of the cage 4, seen in the direction of movement, is widened, similar to that in FIG. 5, and is formed on the side facing the processing area as a storage area for the application substance 12.
- the arrow 18 shows that the cage 4 can be moved in the direction of the arrow 18 to the position shown in broken lines. This change in location and the resulting reduction in cross-section of the stowage gap 16 causes an increase in the total application rate achievable by the device according to the invention.
- the application example in FIG. 8 shows that the device according to the invention, preferably in the mirror-symmetrical arrangement marked with a and b, can be designed as a twin device, preferably an application device.
- the cages 4a and 4b which are connected to one another at their ends by at least two side parts at their ends, are given the two additional functions, printing ink or other liquid application substance, by the special configuration and arrangement shown in FIG. 8, and by the one in the lower one to lead to the machining plane or template facing area relatively narrow gap in the zone delimited by the two rollers 2a and 2b in which the application process takes place.
- the liquid pressure required for the application process is generated by the liquid itself, that is to say by hydrostatic means, it being possible for this liquid pressure to be increased by increasing the cages or increasing the liquid level or by taking other measures increase the corresponding amount for each order quantity. The higher the liquid pressure, the more the twin device shown in FIG.
- a sealing function also extends over the entire length of the device shown only in cross section in FIG. 8. The more the liquid pressure is increased, the closer the function of the narrow gap, through which the liquid stream is led from the upper storage part into the treatment zone below, approaches the function of an application nozzle. Large sealing problems have arisen in the previously known application devices of this type.
- the twin application device according to the invention shown in FIG. 8 also offers a novel, technically fully corresponding solution for these sealing problems.
- FIG. 9 shows a further application device according to the invention in a symmetrical twin arrangement, also identified again with a and b, and, in contrast to the illustration shown in FIG. 8, the twin application device shown in FIG. 9 is preferably suitable for color application in flat screen printing .
- the difference between the inventive concept according to FIG. 9 and FIG. 8 is that the two individual devices a and b connected to form a twin device are moved further apart and each has its own magnetic strip. 1a a (or not shown magnetic roller 1a ') are equipped.
- the two cages 4a and 4b on the sides facing the plane of symmetry, which form the boundary of the paint container in the lower region, are designed in principle as ink jam profiles as shown in FIGS. 5 and 7.
- the twin device When changing the direction of movement, the twin device also changes its functions described above.
- FIGS. 1 to 9 The versatility shows that the invention presented here is of great importance and represents a great advance over the previous state of the entire printing application and other processing technology for sheet-like material.
- the representations shown in FIGS. 1 to 9 are not to be understood as complete, delimiting but only as exemplary representations of the existing shaping, arrangement, dimensioning and application options.

Abstract
Description
Charakteristik des bekannten standes der technikThe invention relates to a device for treating flat material, in particular for stencil printing or for coating with liquid or pasty substances, consisting of a magnetic strip and two rollers in contact with one another, rotatably and movably mounted in the direction of the flat material, the two Rollers are arranged on the opposite side of the sheet material from the magnetic bar. Characteristic of the known state of the art
Such devices have become known in a wide variety of embodiments. In general, however, they have at least one roller-shaped or strip-shaped magnet, which attracts a magnetizable roller. The flat material is processed in a treatment zone according to the respective requirements, the treatment zone being formed between the strip-shaped or roller-shaped magnet and the magnetically pressed roller. Such a device suitable for flat screen printing is described, for example, in AT-A-206 395. In this device, the magnetizable roll is inserted into a flat template without guidance and is magnetically attracted by a magnetic roller arranged below the flat template and the material to be treated, which may be carried by a conveyor belt. By moving the magnetic roller along the flat template, the magnetizable roller is taken along and applies the color substance contained in the flat template to the flat material.
A major advantage of such devices is that the magnetizable roller exerts a very uniform line pressure on the flat material to be treated, even with very long lengths or working widths.
However, it has been found that the following problems arise with such devices. When applying liquid or pasty substances to flat material, especially when printing on flat stencils, a magnetically pressed roll of small diameter can only hold a relatively small amount of ink in front of it and, accordingly, only cover a small doctor stroke. If the ink supply is too large, the squeegee roll could flood, which in turn can lead to job errors. In order to solve this problem, attempts have also already been made to seal the space lying behind the doctor roller in the direction of movement by strips abutting it.
In order or other processing operations, it is often necessary to exert a relatively strong, linear pressure on the flat material. For this purpose, doctor blades with very small diameters are required, which, however, can only be magnetically pressed with a limited force due to magnetic saturation.
For example, it is also used for dewatering fabrics, for smoothing or strengthening paper and the like. The like. Desirable if only linear pressure is exerted on both sides of the sheet material.
Devices adapted to such special cases have become known in a large number. For example, in AT-A-295 456 describes a laminating device which has a strip-shaped magnet. This magnet consists of a number of electromagnets with north and south poles spaced apart in the direction of movement of the flat material to be treated. Two magnetically pressed rollers are arranged above the rows of poles, on which in turn a pressure roller of larger diameter rests. This pressure roller forms the magnetic yoke. In practice, however, it has been shown that for various technological reasons those application or other processing operations are preferred in which only a single material contact occurs. However, the laminating device described is not suitable for such processing operations, since the magnetic field extends normally to the strip-shaped magnet.
Another device with magnetically effected contact pressure is described in AT-A 333 234. This device is used for satinizing flat material and has two magnetic, fixed rollers. The flat material is deflected around one of these rollers, and a work roller of small diameter is inserted into the gap formed between the rollers. However, this device is also only for its assigned purpose and not for general use.
For example, from DE-A-18 13 197 a calender is known in which two rolls of different diameters in contact with one another are used.
Finally, FR-A-1 417 558 relates to a device of the type outlined at the outset, but only the arrangement of two parallel doctor rollers is described. which are pressed on the one hand by a common pressure roller and on the other hand kept at a distance. In contrast, the invention is based on the fact that it is possible and expedient to assign a separate printing roller to each doctor roller. However, a way still had to be found to ensure that the printing roller remained exactly in its unstable position or the doctor blade roller.
The invention was therefore based on the object of providing a device which is as suitable as possible for all processing or treatment processes, in particular, however, for stencil printing on flat material, in which the aforementioned problems are avoided and the contact pressure of the pressure-exerting rollers is essentially independent of whose diameter can be adjusted.
According to the invention, starting from a device of the type mentioned at the outset, it is provided that the two rollers are arranged one above the other in a cage, which is designed as a normal to the flat material, U-shaped profile in cross section, on the side walls of which the rollers are guided, and that the wall of the cage facing the Auftrassubstanz has a storage area for the order substance.
This not only provides a free choice of line printing for the processing roll, but also provides optimal conditions for handling. Storage in a cage means that the rollers, which are usually extremely long in relation to their diameter, are protected from damage during installation and removal, and no retrofitting work on the machine frame is required.
For applications in which the order substance is to be limited or a hydrostatic application effect is to be achieved, it is provided that two cages arranged at a distance from one another form the side walls of a box-shaped container for the order substance.

Fig. 1 shows a doctor device according to the prior art, which consists of a
Da diese in Fig. 2. dargestellte kleinere Rolle 2, ihrem Querschnitt entsprechend, auch eine erheblich geringere magnetisierbase Masse aufweist, ist auch die magnetisch Anpressungskraft auf das fläche Material entsprechend geringer.FIG. 2 shows a representation similar to that in FIG. 1, with the difference that the
In summary, the
This device can be arranged stationary, the
The material surface to be processed can also be attached to an existing conveyor belt and covered by a template (which can be flat or round).
In the plane of symmetry of the magnetic field of the
The diameter of the
Another advantage of the invention, which is very important in practice, is that an application or processing roller of relatively small diameter can still exert a greater line pressure than a roller of larger diameter with the same total pressing force.
The
Der Erfindungsgedanke läßt also die Möglichkeit zu, daß sowohl die Rolle 3 und gegebenenfalls auch weitere prinzipgleich angeordnete Rollen-als auch der Käfig 4, aus magnetisierbarem Material bestehen können.5 shows an embodiment of the invention, in which the inner surfaces of the cage used for guiding the tubes are designed in a manner similar to that shown in FIG. 3 in such a way that the two
The arrow 17-17 'shows that the
Fig. 6 shows a device according to the invention, which is preferably intended for dewatering, i.e. for squeezing tissue webs, the device being arranged stationary and the tissue web to be treated stretching in the direction of arrow 11 'from below, e.g. from a liquid bath - through the gap formed between
Diese Ortsveränderung die daraus resultierende Querschnittsverringerung des Stauspaltes 16 bewirkt eine Erhöhung der durch die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung insgesamt erzielbaren Auftragsleistung.FIG. 7 shows a variant of the inventive concept similar to FIGS. 4 and 5, wherein either the device is moved in the direction of
The application example in FIG. 8 shows that the device according to the invention, preferably in the mirror-symmetrical arrangement marked with a and b, can be designed as a twin device, preferably an application device.
Since application devices of this type are preferably considered for circular stencil printing and since the sharpness of the sample application to the material surface to be printed is better, the narrower the application zone. 8, there is the possibility of arranging the twin device shown in FIG. 8 due to its relatively small overall width above or in connection with a single magnetic strip 1 (or magnetic roller 1 '(not shown), this being shown by the dashed arrows and Lines shown magnetic field, matching the twin device, is shaped such that the half of the magnetic field represented by 5a or 5a 'on the
Außerdem sind die beiden Käfige 4a und 4b an den der SymmetrieEbene zugewendeten, die Begrenzung des Farbbehälters bildenden Seiten im unteren Bereich prinzipgleich wie in den Fig. 5 und 7 dargestellt, als Farbstauprofile ausgebildet.FIG. 9 shows a further application device according to the invention in a symmetrical twin arrangement, also identified again with a and b, and, in contrast to the illustration shown in FIG. 8, the twin application device shown in FIG. 9 is preferably suitable for color application in flat screen printing . Accordingly, the difference between the inventive concept according to FIG. 9 and FIG. 8 is that the two individual devices a and b connected to form a twin device are moved further apart and each has its own magnetic strip. 1a a (or not shown magnetic roller 1a ') are equipped. In addition, the two
If the
The versatility shows that the invention presented here is of great importance and represents a great advance over the previous state of the entire printing application and other processing technology for sheet-like material. The representations shown in FIGS. 1 to 9 are not to be understood as complete, delimiting but only as exemplary representations of the existing shaping, arrangement, dimensioning and application options.
