If the numeric article code 36-1, for example, is registered in the PLU file, a price for the purchased article is accessed from the PLU file and article is registered as illustrated by blocks 44 and 46.

Claims (8)

  1. Ein Verfahren zum Aktualisieren einer Preisnachschlage-Datei für eine noch-nicht-registrierte Ware in einem Verkaufsstellenterminal, das in einem Kassensystem verwendet wird,
    gekennzeichnet durch die folgenden Schritte:
    (a) Eingeben von Strichcodedaten entsprechend der noch-nicht-registrierten Ware in das Terminal;
    (b) Drucken der Daten entsprechend der noch-nicht-registrierten Ware auf einen ein zugewiesenes Format aufweisenden Streifen (20, 34) unter der Steuerung des Terminals; und
    (c) Aktualisieren der Datei in dem Kassensystem, wobei als Information für diese Ware die auf den Streifen (20, 34) gedruckten Daten verwendet werden.
  2. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    das Kassensystem einen Prozessor umfaßt, der mit dem Terminal gekoppelt ist, wobei der Prozessor die Preisnachschlage-Datei in einem Speicher gespeichert aufweist und der Schritt des Aktualisierens außerdem den Schritt des Verwendens des Streifens (20, 34) umfaßt, um die Preis-Nachschlagedatei in dem Prozessor zu aktualisieren.
  3. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Schritt des Aktualisierens außerdem den Schritt des Verwendens des Terminals umfaßt, um Wareninformation in den Prozessorspeicher einzugeben.
  4. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Schritt des Druckens außerdem den Schritt der Datenerfassung direkt von der noch-nicht-registrierten Ware umfaßt.
  5. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Daten des Druckschritts eine Warencodenummer entsprechend der noch-nicht-registrierten Ware umfassen.
  6. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 5,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Daten des Druckschritts einen Strichcode entsprechend der Warencodenummer auf dem Streifen (34) umfassen.
  7. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Druckschritt den Schritt des Einfügens des ein zugewiesenes Format aufweisenden Streifens (20, 34) in einen Drucker des Terminals zum Aufdrucken der Daten umfaßt.
  8. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Eingabeschritt den Schritt des Erfassens eines Strichcodes auf der noch-nicht-registrierten Ware umfaßt.
