Definitions
- the invention relates to a support fabric for supporting bulk goods, which contains weft yarns made of synthetic material, the warp yarns are formed from straight warp yarns and from binding warp yarns and each of the straight warp yarns has a greater strength than the binding warp yarns and the structure is such that when the fabric is subjected to a tensile load in the warp direction, the straight warp yarns absorb a much larger part of the tensile load than the binding warp yarns.
- each of the straight warp yarns can be made of polyester (claim 9) or each of the straight warp yarns can be made of polyamide, polypropylene, polyethylene or aramids (claim 11).
- a support fabric which has straight warp yarns made of polyester and straight warp yarns made of another polymer is virtually excluded by this claim as well as by the other disclosure in this document.
- the object of the present invention was therefore to provide a support fabric of the type available here which is also and in particular suitable for supporting chemically aggressive bulk materials.
- a support fabric of the type described in the introduction in that a sufficiently large proportion of at least the straight warp yarns consists of polyester, that a sufficiently large proportion of at least the straight warp yarns consists of at least one other polymer, that the elongation at break of the straight warp yarns consists of Polyester is significantly lower than that of straight warp yarns made of another polymer and that the long-term resistance of straight warp yarns made of another polymer to highly concentrated chemicals is considerably higher than that of straight warp yarns made of polyester.
- the support fabric according to the invention can also have binding warp yarns and / or weft yarns made of polyester and / or at least one other polymer.
- the support fabric according to the invention has the advantage that the straight polyester warp yarns initially determine its load-bearing capacity, for example up to 10 years, with the gradual degradation of the straight polyester warp yarns increasing the straight warp yarns from another polymer with the higher long-term durability, whereby up to At this point in time, the bulk material to be supported or the layers underneath and / or the soil has been or have been solidified to such an extent that the greater elongation of the straight warp yarns from the other polymer, since these are now hardly used any longer, is no longer a disadvantage. This applies in particular to sludges underneath, which are then sufficiently dewatered and therefore no longer require the support fabric to be as resilient as at the beginning.
- the straight warp yarns are made of 30 to 70% polyester and 70 to 30% of another polymer or if 30 to 70% of the straight warp yarns are made of polyester and 70 to 30% of the straight warp yarns are made from one other polymer, especially polyethylene.
- the elongation at break of the straight warp yarns made of another polymer is preferably only about twice as high as that of the polyester warp yarns, which is preferably about 10%.
- the different straight warp yarns can be arranged alternately, but it is also possible to alternate one straight or two straight polyester warp yarns and two straight warp yarns from another polymer or two or three straight polyester warp yarns and three straight warp yarns from another polymer.
- warp yarns in particular as straight warp yarns
- core / sheath yarns made of polyester coated with the other polymer being particularly preferred.
- the support fabric according to the invention can also contain warp yarns and / or weft yarns made of polyamide and / or polypropylene.
- a preferred application is the use of the support fabric for supporting waste such as household waste, industrial waste, sludge and the like. Like. On old landfills or similar soft ground.
- Twisted yarns for example multifilament yarns, plied yarns, splice yarns and the like are particularly preferred as straight warp yarns. Like., But also turned tapes are used, the support fabric according to EP-A1-0 235 853 not being claimed.
- the support fabric according to the invention combines the properties of high strength with low elongation and chemically resistant over long periods, i.e. over 20 years and more, and therefore offers a wide range of applications. In particular, it fully meets the new, strict and ever increasing demands placed on landfills.
- An advantageous embodiment of the support fabric has straight warp yarns made of polyester and polyethylene, each of the straight warp yarns made of polyethylene consisting of 5 to 20 partial yarns, having a titer of 500 to 2000 dtex and having 50 to 250 filaments.
- the last-mentioned yarn preferably makes up a weight fraction of 50 to 90% of the total weight of the support fabric.
- At least the straight warp yarns can also consist of polyethylene-coated polyethylene terephthalate, i.e. as core-sheath yarns, but also quite generally as two-component yarns (bico yarns) made of polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate.
- the warp yarns can also consist of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF).
- PVDF polyvinylidene fluoride
- Such a support fabric is suitable for exposure to chemically extremely aggressive bulk materials, from which a seeping liquid emerges which contains high concentrations of inorganic acids, inorganic alkalis and / or hydrocarbons which chemically attack the polyester yarns over time.
- the chemically inert or largely inert straight warp yarns take over from another polymer, in particular those made of polyethylene, the stabilizing and separating function between the substrate and the bulk material applied to the supporting fabric. This is favored by the fact that in the course of time there is also a compaction and thus an increase in the load-bearing capacity of the subsoil and a solidification of the applied bulk material, which leads to a relief - or in other words to a lower load - on the supporting fabric.
