Definitions

  • the invention relates to a gripping device for a roving sleeve on a roving machine, with driven gripping elements arranged in a housing and gripping the sleeve, a drive element for the gripping elements being rotatably guided within the housing.
  • Such a gripping device is already known as prior art, in which a drive element connected to the gripping elements and acting on the roving sleeve on the end face is longitudinally displaceable and rotatable within a housing (DE-OS 36 34 879).
  • a drive element connected to the gripping elements and acting on the roving sleeve on the end face is longitudinally displaceable and rotatable within a housing (DE-OS 36 34 879).
  • the roving sleeve in question is placed with its corresponding recess on a driver of a bobbin spindle of the roving machine in the correct manner.
  • a high-helix lead screw is used to carry out the movement.
  • the object of the present invention is to improve the functionality of the gripping elements, since these make a decisive contribution to automating the changing of full bobbins against empty tubes and vice versa in a roving machine.
  • This object is achieved in that between the spring-loaded gripping element and the limitedly rotatable drive element at least two, transversely to the longitudinal axis of the gripping device mounted curve elements are arranged in the form of a wavy bearing ring and at least one pressure roller.
  • This curve element has the advantage that the gripping elements each with increased functional reliability Grab the empty spool or full sleeve and contribute to a safe replacement process.
  • the wave-shaped contact ring can be arranged at the end inside the housing, which is supported against the pressure roller arranged orthogonally to the longitudinal direction of the gripping device.
  • the interaction of the wave-shaped contact ring and the pressure roller advantageously provides a high degree of functional reliability of the kinematic course with a simple construction of the two machine elements.
  • the drive element can be rotated to a limited extent via a swivel lever and a piston-cylinder unit, a pressure sleeve provided with end-face friction linings being arranged within the drive element and connected to the latter via a freewheel mechanism.
  • a switching rod can be guided axially displaceably within the drive element and is connected to a switching element at an end which projects beyond the housing.
  • This switching element is used, for example, to control a proximity switch.
  • the spring-loaded shift rod can be connected to a slotted sleeve, a pin engaging in the slot connecting the sleeve to the drive element in a rotationally fixed manner.
  • the sleeve can be designed as an abutment for the pressure sleeve, wherein a spring-loaded plunger is guided axially displaceably in the pressure sleeve.
  • two pressure rollers can be mounted opposite one another via pins in the drive element, so that there is an advantageous distribution of forces.
  • a multi-slot shaft and a lever linkage connected thereto can be arranged between the pivot lever and the piston-cylinder unit.
  • Fig. 1 an operator runner, for example a flyer doffer 1, for performing replacement functions on a roving machine is shown in rear view.
  • Cantilever arms 4 are rotatably arranged on the housing 2 of the operating rotor via axes 3. These cantilever arms 4 have rod guides 5, on which a bracket 6 is slidably mounted.
  • a piston-cylinder unit 13 is used to trigger the function of the individual gripping devices 8, it being apparent from FIG. 2 that the piston-cylinder unit 13 is connected via a lever linkage 12 to a multi-groove shaft 11, which according to FIGS. 3 and 4 runs parallel to the two horizontal rod guides 7.
  • a lever linkage 36 is arranged displaceably via toothed sleeves, which cooperates with a lever 14 which serves to actuate the function of the gripping device 8.
  • 5 shows a section through a gripping device 8 in more detail.
  • the gripping device is in the open position;
  • 5b is the gripping device 8 in Closed position, in which a sleeve, not shown, is clamped in the front area.
  • Each of the individual gripping devices has a housing 15 which is fixedly arranged on the carriage 10 shown in FIG. 2. Within this housing 15 there is a drive element 17 which can be rotated by a certain angular amount via roller bearings 16. In the area shown in the drawing, FIG. 5, on the right, this drive element 17 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the lever 14, which is actuated by the piston-cylinder unit 13 via the lever linkage 36 and the lever 12.
  • the housing 15 of the gripping device 8 has gripping jaws 18, which have wedge surfaces 32 on their front outer circumference and a wave-shaped contact ring 19 at the end.
  • This bearing ring 19 is pressed by spring elements, which are arranged in a bearing ring 21, against pressure rollers 22 and 22 ', which in turn are rotatably mounted on the drive element 17 via pins 35 and 35'.
  • a shift rod 23 is also axially displaceably guided in the drive element 17, which on the one end has a shift element 24, for example for a proximity switch, and is connected on the opposite end to a sleeve 25 which has a slot 33.
  • the switching rod 23 is acted upon by a spring 26 and is connected to the sleeve 25, a pin 34 engaging in the slot 33 of the sleeve 25, which is mounted in the drive element 17.
  • the sleeve 25 serves as an abutment for a pressure sleeve 28 equipped with friction linings 27.
  • This pressure sleeve 28 is also connected to the drive element 17 via a freewheel mechanism 29 schematically shown in plan view in FIG. This results in a connection in the direction of arrow I according to FIG.
  • this free-wheeling system 19 has rollers or balls 42 which run into the clamping gap between the elements and thus bring about the aforementioned entrainment.
  • the switching rod 23 arranged in the interior of the drive element 17 is acted upon by a spring element 26 and is axially displaceable relative to the drive element 17.
  • a plunger 30 is axially displaceably mounted in the pressure sleeve 28 and is acted upon by a spring 31.
  • the operating sequence of the gripping device 8 is as follows: For doffing full roving bobbins, the gripping devices 8 are pushed from above over roving sleeves arranged on the spindles of the flyer bank of the roving machine. The gripping elements 18 are extended, as shown in Fig. 5a, to the front, i.e. to the left. The pressure rollers 22 are in the position shown in solid lines in FIG. 6. The gripping devices 8 are thus open.
  • the spindles and sleeve arranged on the flyer bench push the plunger 30 and the pressure sleeve 28 against the force of the spring 26 from left to right until 5b results in a position.
  • the lever 14 By actuating the lever 14 with the aid of the piston-cylinder unit 13, the lever 12 and the lever linkage 36, the drive element 17 is pivoted by a certain angular amount, the pressure rollers 22 and 22 'running into the position shown in dashed lines in FIG. 6.
  • the entire swivel angle of the drive element 17 is approximately 60 °. A little less than 10 ° is required to clamp the gripping elements 18; the remaining angular amount of approximately 50 ° is compensated for by the freewheel mechanism 29.
  • this pivoting process means that the gripping elements 18 are pulled inward into the housing 15 under the force of the spring 20 and, due to their wedge surfaces 32, tighten the sleeve, not shown, which is wound with roving.
  • the gripping devices 8 are raised and pull the relevant sleeve from the spindle.
  • the plunger 30 slides into the sleeve and causes it to be centered.
  • the full roving bobbins are placed on the turntable 40 shown schematically in FIG. 1 on the pin 41, from which empty sleeves are received.
  • these empty sleeves are placed on the relevant spindles of the flyer bank in the opposite direction to the removal, although this process sequence differs as follows:
  • the roving sleeves have cutouts in their foot area for positive entrainment through the flyer spindles equipped with appropriate approaches. In order to bring the recesses and the lugs into the correct position, the empty sleeves must be rotated accordingly when they are put on.
  • the gripping device 8 first places the sleeve on the spindle of the flyer bench.
  • the drive element 17 is pivoted via the lever 14 and the piston-cylinder unit 13; the pressure rollers 22 and 22 'push the gripping elements 18 forward over the bearing ring 19, these opening as a result of the wedge surfaces 32.
  • the pivot angle required for this functional sequence is somewhat less than 10 °.
  • the freewheel mechanism 29 which is locked in this direction, is used Pressure sleeve 28 taken.
  • the friction linings 27 arranged on this pressure sleeve 28 in turn press on the end face of the empty sleeve and rotate it with respect to the spindle until the empty sleeve engages with its foot recesses in the corresponding approaches of the spindle of the flyer bench.
