Description

The invention relates to a washing device for a printing press, for cleaning the surface of a roller or a cylinder, for example for cleaning the blanket of the blanket cylinder. Such a washing device has a supply spool and a dirty cloth spool for a washing cloth, the washing cloth being able to be soaked with washing liquid. By winding the washcloth on the dirty cloth spool, the washcloth is pulled off the supply spool. It runs over a pressure element, which can be actuated to bring the washcloth into contact, for example on the rubber blanket of the rubber blanket cylinder to be cleaned. In particular, the pressure element is an elastic membrane part, which is gripped on a spacer. The pressure element can be actuated by building up a compressed air cushion between the membrane part and the spacer part. In the actuated state, the spacer ensures the permanent spacing of the edge regions of the membrane part, which only just enables the compressed air cushion to be built up between the membrane part and the spacer.

Such a washing device is known for example from DE-OS 30 05 469. In this known washing device, the spacer part is formed in the form of a U-profile, the membrane part covering the opening of the U-profile in a cross-sectional illustration. In this known washing device, the edge areas of the membrane part are fastened in a sealed manner on legs of the U-profile. In this washing device, the sealing attachment of the membrane part is perceived as very complex. In order to ensure the sealing effect, the edge areas of the membrane part are fastened to the legs of the U-profile with a plurality of screws with the interposition of a strip. A such attachment is to be made on both long sides of this spacer.

Starting from the above-described prior art, the object of the invention is to design and further develop the known washing device in such a way that the pressing element is simple and easy to use in terms of production.

This object is achieved in the invention specified in claim 1.

According to the invention, the spacer is accommodated in a holder part in the manner of a sliding block. The edge regions of the membrane part, at least the longitudinal edge regions, are tightly clamped between the spacer part and the holding part. More precisely, the edge areas are clamped between the guide projections of the holding part and the assigned edge areas of the spacer part. As in the known washing device, the spacer is used to form a closed pressure chamber on the side of the membrane part facing away from, for example, a rubber blanket cylinder, i.e. on the underside of the membrane part, the spacer forming the bottom of the pressure chamber, and as a part which, as it were, spans the membrane part actuated state by the holder of the edge areas allows the bulging of the membrane part. In addition, in the subject matter of the invention, the spacer is used directly for holding the edge regions of the membrane part, as described above. The pressure element extends essentially over the length of the roller or cylinder to be cleaned, so that the longitudinal edge regions mentioned address those which extend essentially parallel to the axis of the roller or cylinder. With one The spacer part can advantageously be designed as an insertion part, as can the membrane part, which can be preformed with corresponding edge regions. The membrane part can be inserted into the holding part together with the spacer part and then clamped in the inserted state. The membrane part expediently has preformed, outwardly facing edge regions which automatically engage behind the guide projections of the holding part when inserted. The membrane part is immediately in the holder part perpendicular to the direction of insertion when inserted into the holder part - which also applies to the spacer. The invention further proposes that the spacer is pretensioned against the guide projections of the holding part by means of tensioning screws which are supported on the holding part. Between the holder part and the spacer part, with the interposition of the membrane part, there is a closed tension circuit, the essential longitudinal edges of the membrane part and the holder part on the one hand and the spacer part on the other hand interacting positively. The membrane part does not need to be preformed, or only slightly, for example with regard to the edge regions. Then the spacer is decisive for the shape of the membrane part in the unactuated state if no compressed air cushion is built up between the membrane part and the spacer, as will be explained in more detail below. In the actuated state, the spacer is then responsible for the formation of a curvature that presses the washcloth onto the blanket cylinder, for example. However, as preferred within the scope of the invention, the membrane part can already be largely adapted to the shape of the spacer part, in particular with regard to the aforementioned laterally projecting edge regions which are clamped in as a seal between the spacer part and the holding part. The spacer is by means of the clamping screws in a direction perpendicular to an extension direction of the longitudinal guide projections. Here, the clamping screws act in a cross-sectional view approximately in the middle of the spacer. Because of the necessary elasticity, the membrane part consists of a rubber-elastic material, while the spacer part and the holding part can be, for example, drawn metal profile parts. The membrane part is inflated pneumatically to actuate the pressure element. For this purpose, a compressed air connection is provided on the spacer, which passes freely through the holding part, but is firmly connected to the spacer. When the spacer part is braced against the holding part, the compressed air connection which is stationary in the holding part can move freely with respect to the holding part. The compressed air connection opens into a corresponding hole in the spacer. By building up a compressed air cushion, the membrane part is lifted from the spacer part when actuated, as mentioned to form a curvature. The wash cloth running outside on the membrane part is pressed against the cylinder to be washed or the roller to be washed. With regard to the frontal fastening of the membrane part, it is provided that the membrane part is fixedly attached to an end face of the spacer part. For example, the membrane part can be connected to the end face of the spacer part by means of fastening screws. This results in an advantageous addition to the inventive concept of sealingly clamping the membrane part on both sides between the holding part and the spacer part, with the spacer part being designed in the manner of a sliding block. For assembly, the membrane part can be firmly connected to the spacer part by the end bracket before the spacer part is inserted. The spacer can then be pushed into the holding part together with the membrane part in a simple manner. After tightening the clamping screws, the membrane part is sealed on the whole or held against the spacer. In a further detail, a tensioning plate is interposed between the membrane part and the heads of the fastening screws with regard to the end-face fastening, which ensures a uniform contact pressure over the width of the end face.

Shown and described is a washing device 1 which in the installed state, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, is assigned to a blanket cylinder 2 of a printing press. The washing device 1 has a supply spool 3 for a wash cloth 5, which can be wound up on a dirty cloth spool 4. The dirty cloth spool 4 can be actuated step by step by means of a pneumatic device 6. The wash cloth 5 can be wetted with washing liquid from a dispensing device 7.

Otherwise, the washing device 1 shown is designed as a slide-in device which is held by means of bolts 8 in mutually opposite machine-fixed holders 22, a respective holder 22 being firmly connected to a side wall 28 of the printing press.

The washcloth 5 is pulled by winding it on the dirty-cloth spool 4 via a pressure element 9, which is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 in the actuated state. In particular, the pressure element 9 has a membrane part 10, which is sealed on a spacer 11. By means of a compressed air connection 12 (see FIG. 4), a compressed air cushion can be built up between the outside upper side 13 of the spacer part 11 and the facing underside of the membrane part 10, for pressing the washcloth 5 against a cylinder or a roller during a washing process. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the membrane part 10 lies against the substantially rectangular, flat outer surface of the spacer part 11. In the actuated state, the membrane part 10 bulges out, as shown in FIG. 3.

Fig. 2), zur Führung bzw. Umlenkung des Waschtuchs 5.The spacer 11 and the membrane part 10 are received in a bracket part 14 like a sliding block. The guide projections 15, 15 'of the holding part are engaged behind by edge regions 16 and 17 of the spacer part 11 and the membrane part 10, respectively. The spacer 11 is braced against the guide projections 15, 15 'by means of tensioning screws 18, which are supported on the holding part 14, with an intermediate layer of the membrane part 10 or more precisely the edge regions 17 of the membrane part 10. The spacer part 11 is in this case acted upon by means of the tensioning screws 18 perpendicular to an extension direction of the guide projections 15, 15 '. 3 that the clamping screws 18 act approximately centrally on the spacer 11. The membrane part 10 advantageously has preformed, outwardly facing edge regions 17. Just like the spacer part 11, it can simply be pushed into the mounting part 14 for assembly. The guide protrusion 15 ′ can be designed to protrude in the direction of the blanket cylinder 2 (see FIG. 2) for guiding or deflecting the washcloth 5.

The compressed air connection 12 is shown in detail in FIG. 4. It passes freely through a passage 19 in the holding part 14 and is screwed into the spacer 11 by means of a thread 20. During assembly, when the spacer 11 is braced against the guide projections 15, 15 ', the spacer 11 migrates in the direction of the guide projections 15, 15'. The compressed air connection can easily follow this movement. The compressed air connection 12 is also connected to a compressed air line 21 which is led out of the washing device 1 for the supply of compressed air, which is not shown in detail here.

Die in Fig. 5 nicht sichtbare Stirnseite ist entsprechend ausgebildet.5, the membrane part 10, which consists of a rubber-elastic material, is shown overall in perspective. The outward-facing longitudinal edge regions 17 can be seen. The end face 23 of the membrane part 10 is drawn deeper by the projection 27 than the longitudinal edge of the membrane part 10. Furthermore, in the illustrated embodiment, two fastening openings 24 are formed in the end face 23 in order to enable a screw connection, as further described in detail in FIGS 6 and 7 is shown. The end face that is not visible in FIG. 5 is designed accordingly.

Es ergibt sich eine über die ganze Stirnseite dichte Anlage des Membranteils 10 an dem Distanzteil 11.6 and 7 that the frontal fastening of the membrane part 10 is carried out by means of two screws 25 which are anchored in the spacer 11. The screws 25 act on the diaphragm part 10 via a tensioning plate 26 spanning the end face. This results in a tight contact of the membrane part 10 with the spacer part 11 over the entire end face.

For assembly, for example, the procedure can be such that the membrane part 10 is first firmly connected to the spacer 11 on the end face 23 and the spacer 11 is then inserted into the guide part 14 together with the membrane part 10 already attached to it. The aforementioned tensioning of the spacer 11 against the guide projections 15, 15 ′ results in the longitudinal sealing seal between the membrane part 10 and the spacer 11.

The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, the claims and the drawings can be of importance both individually and in any combination for the implementation of the invention.
