Doors, lids, and covers.-The cover 2 of a vessel 1 containing fluid under pressure is pressed on to its seating by an expansible bag 4 of copper, aluminium, lead, soft iron, &c., to which the fluid is admitted from the vessel 1 by a pipe 5. The bag 4 is confined in a space of corresponding shape between the cover 2 and a plate 3 secured by a nut 6.
