Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cigarette pack of the soft pack type, in which a multilayered cigarette stack for forming an essentially cuboid-shaped envelope which is in direct contact with the cigarettes is wrapped in a packaging film blank made of a composite film containing an aluminum film, the edges of which overlap one another and at least on one of the form a smaller envelope side surface with an envelope fold and with an envelope opening side running perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the cigarette and with an opening label attached to the envelope. It also relates to an advantageous method for producing this pack of cigarettes.
  • a cigarette pack of this type is known from FR-A-1090427.
  • a slot 16 is provided in the packaging film blank, which is covered by a strip-shaped film piece 7 releasably adhered to this cutting, which at the same time serves as a tear strip for a second cellophane sleeve which is applied to the packaging film blank manufactured first shell is applied.
  • the strip-shaped piece of film is pulled off in its longitudinal direction, thereby freeing the slot 16 in the casing and at the same time tearing open the outer cellophane casing.
  • the cigarettes can now be gradually removed through the opening that is created.
  • the area of the envelope bordered by the slot 16 forms a kind of cover for this opening, but this known package cannot be resealed.
  • the invention is first of all based on the object of specifying a soft-pack cigarette pack of the type mentioned at the beginning, which, after opening the pack and removing one or more cigarettes, allows the pack to be temporarily closed again.
  • the overlapping edges of the packaging film blank, which is provided with a decorative print are connected to one another at least for the most part by heat seals on the casing, such that a line of weakness is present in the composite film of the casing is provided, which is in a partial area within one of the smaller envelope side faces parallel to the longitudinal direction of the cigarette or on
  • the edge of these envelope side faces extends to the envelope opening side and which runs out at two near the edge of the envelope opening side or crosses this edge, and that the opening label is permanently glued to the envelope surface within a region of the weakened line and thereby at least partially abuts the aforementioned smaller envelope side surface parallel to the longitudinal direction of the cigarette.
  • the opening label is advantageously not connected to the surface of the cover at an edge region facing away from the cover opening side.
  • the cigarette pack according to the invention is characterized in that the line of weakness extends not only within the aforementioned smaller envelope side surfaces parallel to the longitudinal direction of the cigarette but also within at least one of the two subsequent larger envelope side surfaces parallel to the longitudinal direction of the cigarette.
  • the line of weakness runs in a central region within the smaller envelope side surface mentioned, parallel to the longitudinal direction of the cigarette, under the opening label and at two end regions on the large envelope side surfaces.
  • the cigarette pack according to the invention is characterized in that the composite film has a layer which is in contact with the packaged goods and is optionally formed by paper or a paper laminate, which over parts of its surface which lie outside the points of the weakening lines with the adjoining one Position of the composite film is not connected. These sub-areas are at least partly on the two large shell side surfaces.
  • the invention further relates to an advantageous method for producing the cigarette pack according to the invention.
  • This method is characterized in that the opening label is connected to the composite film before the casing is formed.
  • a composite film which, for example - starting from the inside of the pack - consists of bleached sodium kraft paper (60-120 g / m2) and an aluminum foil with a thickness of 7-9, which is laminated with this and has a decorative print on its free surface ⁇ m exists, whereby the printed surface is provided with a partial hot melt adhesive coating with a thickness of 10-20 g / m2.
  • a three-layer cigarette stack 1 is now formed, as indicated schematically in FIG. 1, which is pushed (in a guide not shown in FIG. 1) in the direction of arrow 2 into a slot 3 of a drum 4, whereby the composite film 6 fed in the direction of the arrow 5 is drawn from the cigarette stack 1 into the slot 3.
  • the edges 7 and 8 of the packaging film are folded over and connected to one another by means of a hot-melt adhesive coating 9 attached to the outside of the composite film edge 8 by heat sealing.
  • Figures 5 to 9 each show a perspective schematic partial representation of the shell 15 with different variants of an opening aid.
  • a common feature of all these variants is an opening label made of flat material, optionally provided with a self-adhesive coating.
  • Such a self-adhesive opening label advantageously has the form of a self-adhesive paper label with a grammage of 50-80 g / m 2.
  • a paper-aluminum foil composite (aluminum foil 7-12 ⁇ m thick) can be used as the opening label material instead of the paper layer, the self-adhesive coating being carried out on the paper side, or an approximately 12-20 ⁇ m thick plastic foil, for example made of PETP or OPP, can be used.
  • opening labels which are glued to the surface of the envelope in the form of self-adhesive labels, are advantageously provided with a decorative or informative imprint on the front, the free aluminum surface generally being printed when aluminum composites are used as label material, but can also be made after the envelope 15 has been produced be applied to the still flat composite film serving as the shell material before forming the shell.
  • a weakening line 16 is provided in the casing material, which preferably consists of a series of short punchings in the composite film which are separated from one another by material bridges and which are arranged along the weakening line course.
  • the line of weakness 16 runs in the middle part within one of the smaller shell side surfaces 17 and in its two end regions within the two large shell side surfaces obliquely towards the shell opening side 18, these end lines of weakness ending at the edges of the shell opening side 18 .
  • an edge region 21 of the opening label 19 facing away from the case opening side is not connected to the surface of the case and thereby forms a narrow grip tab.
  • the opening label 19 is gripped at the edge region 21 and in the direction of the arrow 22 drawn.
  • the envelope region enclosed by the line of weakness 16 is entrained by the opening label 19 by tearing the line of weakness 16, after which it folds away from the opening of the envelope in the manner of a "lid” held by a film hinge and stiffened by two corners of the envelope. After cigarettes have been removed through this opening, this “lid” can be closed again and the edge 21 of the opening label 19 can be attached to its original position on the side of the envelope.
  • FIG. 6 shows a variant of the opening aid according to FIG. 5. It differs from this only in that the opening label 23, which is designed as a self-adhesive label, is only applied to the smaller envelope side surface 17. This makes it easier to attach them to the finished shell.
  • opening label 24 is applied to the composite film serving as the covering material even before the covering is formed.
  • the opening label 24 is therefore partially folded into the envelope fold of the envelope opening side 18 and is fixed even more strongly to the envelope 15 by the sealing of the envelope fold.
  • a self-adhesive label can be applied to the flat composite film much more easily than to the finished, but very soft packaging envelope.
  • FIG. 8 shows a variant of the opening aid with an opening label 25, the weakening line 16 ′ running in a U-shape along a section of the edge of the casing opening side 18.
  • This variant has the peculiarity that with filter cigarettes as packaged goods, when opening the pack, the filters in the area of the opening are exposed as little as possible, which may possibly be desirable for hygienic reasons.
  • an opening aid is described as the last variant, in which a U-shaped weakening line 26 runs on both sides of an envelope edge 27 parallel to the longitudinal extension of the cigarette, the ends of the weakening line ending at two edges of the envelope opening side 18.
  • An opening label 28 lies on both sides of this envelope edge 27 on the envelope 15 and covers the line of weakness 26 to the ends thereof.
  • the casing 15 is then opened by pulling on the edge 29 of the opening label 28 in the direction of the arrow 30, tearing the line of weakness and forming a "cover" stiffened by a casing corner in an analogous manner to that described in the variant according to FIG. 5. Analogous to FIG. 5, the casing 15 is also closed again.
  • FIG. 10 shows a partial section through the cigarette stack 1 provided with a “first casing”.
  • a composite film 31 is used - in deviation from the methods described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4 - which consists of an outer aluminum composite 32 which only has partial areas of the composite film surface with a paper layer 33, for example a bleached paper layer Kraft paper with a basis weight of 30-80 g / m2 is connected by a partial lamination that fits the decorative print.
  • the aluminum composite 32 can, for example, be constructed analogously to the composite film 31 used in the method variant described with reference to FIGS.
