Abstract

Dans un paquet de cigarettes de type souple, on enveloppe une pile de cigarettes dans une pièce découpée d'une pellicule composite de façon à former une enveloppe quadrangulaire. Les bords de la pièce découpée se recouvrent, formant des plis d'enveloppe, et sont scellés ensemble à chaud. Pour faciliter l'ouverture du paquet, une ligne d'affaiblissement (16, 16', 26) essentiellement en U formée dans le matériau de l'enveloppe délimite une partie marginale de l'enveloppe ou un bord du côté de l'ouverture (18) de l'enveloppe et se situe sur la face latérale (17) la plus petite de l'enveloppe, parallèle à la longueur des cigarettes. A l'intérieur de la zone délimitée par la ligne d'affaiblissement (16, 16', 26), une étiquette d'ouverture (19, 23-25, 28) de préférence auto-collante est fixée de manière permanente sur l'enveloppe (15). Pour ouvrir le paquet, on tire sur le bord de l'étiquette d'ouverture (19, 23-25, 28), ce qui entraîne le déchirement de la ligne d'affaiblissement (16, 16', 26). On peut refermer temporairement le paquet en replaçant l'étiquette d'ouverture (19, 23-25, 28) dans sa position originale.
