Definitions
- the invention relates to a pack, in particular a tubular bag pack for packaging packaged goods, with a cover having a tear-open element, which consists of a flat, flexible and foldable packaging material, the packaging material having at least one doubling area in which it is flat with one another with the aid of a binder forms connected layers and at which the start of the tearing member is located.
- the invention further relates to an advantageous method for producing a tubular bag pack of this type.
- Packs of the type mentioned above are used in particular for packaging solid packaging goods, such as long-life baked goods, chocolates, etc.
- the process of opening the casing is initiated by pulling off the tearing member; the resulting slit-shaped opening in the casing material is then enlarged to such an extent that the casing material can be removed by further tearing open the casing material or by deforming the casing.
- the tear-open element is formed, for example, by a tear strip, this is usually attached to the inside of the packaging envelope between two lines of weakness of the packaging material.
- the start of the tear tape is therefore in one place Double area of the packaging material between the layers of packaging material connected in this area by a seal.
- Known packs of this type are not gas-tight, at least at this point.
- the invention has for its object to provide a package with a tear-open casing, which consists of a flat, flexible and foldable packaging material, the packaging material having at least one doubling area in which it forms two layers connected to one another with the aid of a binding agent and where the start of the tear-opener is located; and in which pack the actuation of the tear-open member is facilitated by simple measures and the pack can also be made gas-tight at the points at the start of the tear-open member.
- the invention is also based on the object of specifying an advantageous method for producing the packs according to the invention or the packing material used for these packs.
- the object on which the invention is based is achieved in the pack according to the invention, which is characterized in that the area occupied by the tear-open element is opposite to that area of the packaging material layer of the doubling area which merges into the envelope part connected to the tear-off element, in the other packaging material layer of the doubling area. through lines of weakness of the packaging material and, if appropriate, the edge of the doubling area is at least almost completely enclosed, wherein in this doubling area the tear-open element and the two layers of packaging material are connected to one another flatly with the aid of a binder.
- the special nature of the weakening line ensures that areas connected to or attached to the tear-open member in both layers of packaging material of the doubling area can be easily separated from the packaging envelope when the tear-off member is removed, thus enabling or facilitating this removal.
- the doubling area of the layers of packaging material, which are connected to the tear-open element with the aid of a binding agent is one of the fins of a tubular bag pack known per se with two fins.
- the object on which the invention is based is further achieved in the method according to the invention for producing the tubular bag pack according to the invention, which is characterized in that a continuous tear-open element is provided or attached to the lengthwise extension of the packaging material web provided with weakening lines, optionally between two weakening lines, before the tubular bag pack is produced in a manner known per se.
- the packaging material web used advantageously has a cold adhesive coating as the sealing layer, to which a tear tape coated on one side with a cold adhesive is hot-laminated on its cold adhesive-free side by means of a thermoplastic binder.
- a web-shaped carrier layer is provided with at least section punchings along the locations of the intended weakening lines and then with an unbroken web-shaped Sealing layer is connected, which in turn is covered with a sealing layer.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of a tubular bag pack of the type according to the invention.
- the tubular bag pack is produced in a manner known per se by the fact that in the packaging machine the continuously tapering packaging material web, which has lines of weakness at predetermined points or a tear tape running between two web lengths and attached to the sealing layer, in this longitudinal dimension 1 (Fig .1) around the packaged goods, e.g. chocolate bars, folded and, by forming a longitudinal sealing seam (not shown in the figure), a tubular casing 2 enclosing the packaged goods is formed, which is divided into individual packs by transverse sealing seams 3, 3 'and severing of the packaging material at these seams.
- transverse sealing seams 3, 3 ' fin-shaped doubling regions are produced at the ends of the pack, at each of which two layers of packaging material 4 and 5 or 4' and 5 'are connected to one another in a flat manner.
- the packaging material layers 4, 4 '(in FIG. 1) lying on the top of the package merge into the upper part of the packaging envelope, on the inside of which a tear tape 7 is attached between two lines of weakness 6 of the packaging material. On the weakening lines, webs are provided between the punched punchings.
- the beginning 9 of the tear tape 7 is located on the underside of a tab-shaped extension 10 of the packaging material layer 4 at the doubling area of the transverse sealing seam 3 or runs in its sealing area between the packaging material layers 4 and 5.
- the layers of packaging material 4 and 5 and the tear tape 7 are connected to one another in a flat and gas-tight manner by the sealing.
- Such a flat and gas-tight connection of the tear tape 7 with the lower layer of packaging material 5 is not yet known in tubular bag packs of this type.
- the beginning of the tear tape is now designed in a special way.
- Fig. 2 shows a tubular bag pack in one part representation in which such a special design of the tear tape beginning, which in contrast to FIG. 1 now has no tab-shaped extension, is shown schematically.
- the start of the tear tape is located at the doubling area made of the packaging material layers 4 and 5, which is produced by a transverse sealing seam.
- the tear tape 7 attached to the inside of the packaging envelope part or the packaging material layer 4 lies between two weakening lines 6 of the packaging material, by which one recognizes the webs 8 between the punched holes and which run parallel to one another over most of the pack, but wedge-shaped apart within the packaging material layer 4.
- the area delimited in the (upper) packaging material layer 4 by these weakening lines 6 is now opposite in the (lower) packaging material layer 5 by an area 11 which is enclosed by a U-shaped weakening line 12 or the edge 13 of the doubling area.
- Example 1 To produce a packaging material web forming the package according to the invention, a satin paper web coated on one side and having a basis weight of 60-100 g / m 2 is used, which in a
- Rotary printing machine is simultaneously provided with a surface decor print and sections of punched holes along the weakening lines provided on the packaging material.
- a strip-shaped aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.008 to 0.012 mm is coated on one side with a lamination medium and laminated against the printed paper web with weakening lines.
- This composite is finally coated with a cold adhesive on the side facing away from the paper web.
- a thin polyethylene tape provided with a cold adhesive coating on one side with its cold adhesive-free side is then applied to the packaging material web thus produced as a tear tape. This takes place, for example, in that, in the manufacture of tubular bag packs, the polyethylene tape in the longitudinal direction of the packaging material tape by means of a thermoplastic binder, such as e.g. Wax, hot laminated onto the cold adhesive coating of the packaging material web fed to the packaging machine.
- a thermoplastic binder such as e.g. Wax
- the packaging material to be used according to this example differs from that described in example 1 in that instead of the paper web, a
- Plastic sheet in particular a cellophane sheet with a basis weight of 28-40 g / m 2 , and a hot melt adhesive coating based on polyethylene is used instead of the cold adhesive coating.
- a tear tape is a polyester tape with a polyethylene hot-melt adhesive coating on both sides, which is hot-sealed onto the hot-melt adhesive coating of the packaging material.
- tubular pouch packs are again produced as described with reference to FIG. 1, the sealing seams, in contrast to example 1, being carried out in the form of heat seals.
- the pack according to the invention can primarily be used advantageously as a pack for foodstuffs, such as chocolates or long-life baked goods, which can optionally be made gas-tight or can be produced in the form of tubular bag packs.
- foodstuffs such as chocolates or long-life baked goods
- their commercial usability is not limited to packs for solid packaging goods.
