Definitions

  • the invention relates to an autonomous radio clock according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a radio clock is known from the article by W. Ganter “JUNG - HANS - radio clock RC 2 "in Goldschmiede - (2004), issue 1/88, page 148.
  • This radio clock which quickly has brought about the receiver periodically, at predetermined times, temporarily to display the current time if necessary due to current radio correct received time telegrams. Independently of which the receiver is switched on - each time a reset or START switch with which the current time display at the same time in a 00:00:00 reference position is driven, cf. also DE-GM 87 12 803. As soon as radio reception is a valid one Provides time information, the recipient becomes again switched off and the time display in rapid brought the appropriate position. If so mechanical parts (hands or numerals - fall flap - pen) must be moved, then it will be used necessary time span is taken into account in the control, so that finally the actual, current time is displayed.
  • the solution according to the invention is thus based on the realization that it is enough to be correct indicating radio clock after changing the time zone the previous hour display once to be corrected manually accordingly (before or reset), whereupon in the future with the radio-controlled Time display this time zone correction is automatically taken into account.
  • the time zone correction value manually in a separate Hourly memory can be entered which this correction value (taking into account its addition or subtraction sign) with the decoded, currently via radio received hourly information from a transmitter, set to a different time zone for the display of the actual local time contracted becomes. So the radio operation is the Also outside the time zone to which the Station is set, possible.
  • the traveler returns in the range of those matching the transmitter Time zone back then he can either the previously performed zone correction undo that he added the additional Zone hour memory manually again Zero resets, so that from now on via radio received hourly information no zone correction more is added; or the radio clock is restarted by confirming the reset button, which also means the hour correction memory is reset to zero.
  • the solution according to the invention makes it possible moreover, for commissioning the watch without current reception of valid time telegrams in conventionally, for example by Broadcasters on certain full hours broadcast synchronized signal to wait and then press the reset or START switch.
  • This will change the time display to 00 minutes and reset 00 seconds and the clock below your internal time base for the time display - progression started - but with one arbitrary - inapplicable (given at random) Hour display or with the hour 00 if reset the hour display to 00 was set.
  • the hour display is combined with the update of the remaining current ones Corrected time display, if still one valid radio time telegram received and should be able to be decoded.
  • Radio clock 11 has a connected to an antenna 12, tuned to a time transmitter frequency Receiver 13 with decoder 14 for that in the demodulated receive information contained current time information 15.
  • This decoded time information 15 is stored in a register 16 for segment control of a display 17 with hour (H), minute (M) and Second (S) display as the one to be displayed Time information 15 'implemented.
  • the START switch 18 also causes one Register reset, after which the display register 16 from an internal time-keeping circuit 22 to continue.
  • the output of e.g. out the comparison of two successive time telegrams obtained time information 15 causes via a (only functionally simplified here shown) reversal information 21 and a Flip-flop 30 that the receiver 13 and optionally the decoder 14 is switched off again and according to the time telegram corrected time information 15 from now on from the internal Clock circuit 22 is counted further.
  • a quartz-stabilized oscillator that from the receiver 13 via a one-second clock line 23 on the modulation clock of the radio transmitted time telegrams have been synchronized can be.
  • the hour jump to be carried out is on the modulation side in the time telegram transmitted via radio takes into account and therefore leads to the next time-controlled generation of the switch-on information 20 for consideration in the Control of register 16 and thus for correction the hour display H.
  • this Radio clock 11 carried for example on long-distance trips is where a time zone boundary is exceeded, then the necessary Hour correction - information not received Time telegram of the previous one Time transmitter set up in the time zone - regardless of whether this station is off the distance from the next time zone at all can still be received.
  • flight passengers will change time zones, for example communicated.
  • For the advertisment display 17 shows the current one Register - hourly information 15'H in a totalizer 27 summarized with the correction information ⁇ H in the hourly memory 26 for consideration the positive or negative deviation the current time zone hour from the transmitter-related register hour 15 'H im Hour display 17 H.
  • Current correction entry in the time zone hour memory 26 are shown to be a to provide quick information about how many (counting up or down and if necessary, half or whole) hours current time zone related hour display 17 H deviates from the time zone hour 15 'H of Sender location.
  • the Radio clock 11 When staying in an area where no Time transmitter can be received or for that is not operated at all, the Radio clock 11 as autonomous from its clock circuit 22 This means that the operated clock is put into operation at the right time that exactly when a e.g. from public broadcasting to certain full ones Hours of broadcast time signal (so only represents a time synchronization mark, not an encrypted one complete time information) START switch 18 is actuated.
  • the one triggered by it Start information 29 sets the flip-flop again 30 to the switch-on information 20 for one trigger another reception attempt.
  • register 16 for the Time display 17 set to 00:00:00 and out of this full hour display from the Clock circuit 22 operated timekeeping.
  • Radio time information 15 With the first detection of one Radio time information 15 is then expedient at the same time, the information in not more required separate hourly memory 26 deleted so that not via the totalizer 27 wrong hour H appears when the user the clock 11 reset via the switch 24 forgets.
  • the Reset input R of the memory 26 via OR gate 32 driven when mentioned a new reception start via switch 18 is initiated or if a recipient changeover information 21 appears. Should the carrier the watch is in the wrong time zone, he can use the display again as described modify the hourly memory 26.
