Description

The invention relates to drainage articles of all kinds, e.g. Sludge traps, heavy and light liquid separators, maintenance or sampling shafts, rainwater, yard or street drains and the like. Such drainage objects increasingly remove or absorb groundwater-endangering liquids. For some time now, there has been a demand to make these drainage objects absolutely tight to the surface.

Manhole components that are used to adapt to the Surface level or to achieve a frost-free depth as an inspection shaft on the drainage objects must therefore be tightly connected with each other in the future, with the drainage object and the upper shaft end part.

The US-PS 3,980,311 shows such a sealed shaft, which consists of a shaft bottom part, two shaft rings, a compensating ring and the upper shaft end part. The seal has the shape of a round profile or semicircular profile ring, which is inserted into a groove located on the upper component and bears against the mating surface on the lower shaft component. The surfaces delimiting the cavity for the sealing ring are inclined, so that the sealing ring is strongly deformed when the shaft component is placed on it and is subjected to shearing. The sealing rings are damaged and then no longer seal properly.

Housing or chess floor parts often have rectangular cross sections, e.g. cast iron gasoline separators or yard drains. However, shaft components usually have circular cross sections. There was a desire to find an easily manageable and simple solution for the tight connection of the manhole component to the housing or manhole base part.

This object is achieved in that the housing (1) or shaft bottom part is pulled together on top of an opening with a circular cross-section, the Diameter of the opening exceeds the width of the housing (1) or shaft bottom part, that all contact surfaces (5) for the sealing rings are at least approximately vertical and flat, and that the outer surface (5) of the collar (2) surrounding the circular opening is the inner one Represents the bearing surface for the sealing ring (6). The sections of the underside of the next shaft component that exceed the width of the housing are provided to intercept and introduce the traffic load into the surrounding subsoil. These sections can be supported on foundations.

Additional components, such as adapters or transition plates and rings, are unnecessary in the design of the connection according to the invention. Access to the drainage item is not hindered by any ledge or heel.

The drawings show exemplary embodiments of the invention:
Fig. 1

Fig. 2
2 shows a top view of FIG. 1
Fig. 3
a concrete manhole component or housing with an upper manhole cover

The separator housing 1 according to FIG. 1, which is rectangular in cross section and made of cast iron, is pulled up at the top to form a collar 2 with a round cross section, which has a support 3 for a (dash-dotted lines) cover 4, which is inserted when the separator is installed at the level of the environment. The outer surface of the collar 2 is designed as a contact surface 5 for a sealing ring 6 which rolls into the position shown when the shaft component 7 is placed on it. The next shaft component 7 with the inner ring surface is supported on the top 8 of the collar 2. The spring 10 engages over the collar 2 and is supported there on a support structure (indicated by dash-dotted lines), for example a foundation 11, made of in-situ concrete.

From the top view of FIG. 2 it can be seen that the circular shape of the collar 2, the diameter of which exceeds the width of the separating housing, results in a free circular sector which enables a coalescence insert 12 to be inserted into vertical guides 13.

Fig. 3 zeigt den oberen Schachtabschluß. Fig. 3 shows the upper shaft end. The shaft end part consists of a frame 14 produced in a composite construction and a cover 16 inserted into the support 15. The frame has at the bottom an externally projecting spring 17, the inner surface of which forms the contact surface for the sealing ring 18. The counter surface is provided on the corresponding projection of the shaft construction part 19.
