Definitions

  • the invention relates to a wheelchair for the disabled and the sick, in which two wheels are each connected to an electric motor drive and each of the two driven wheels is cushioned against the chair frame.
  • each wheel is rotatably mounted on an additional rocker arm, which ends at one end is pivotally mounted on the chair joint and is at the other end connected to a shock absorber arranged between the chair frame and the swing arm.
  • the drive is housed in the swing arm, which must have a special box profile.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a simplified suspension design for the rear wheels of a wheelchair with a uniform drive and wheel contact holder with the road even with bumps, so that the wheelchair shows a safe driving property.
  • the drive for each rear wheel is located directly on the wheel axle and the drive with the rear wheel is cushioned directly by the shock absorber, which simplifies the design and makes it more cost-effective, but still gives a very good function.
  • the drives are secured against rotation and their movable connection relative to the chair frame is achieved in a simple manner by means of ball-and-socket rods.
  • the cushioning is formed by simple and cost-saving telescopic springs, which are articulated between the drive and the chair frame.
  • each driven wheel (1) with its associated drive (2) is designed to be separately cushioned relative to the chair frame (3).
  • a telescopic spring in the form of a gas pressure spring or a shock absorber is provided as the suspension (4).
  • the spring (4) for each driven wheel (1) has one end in a joint (5) of the drive (2) sitting on the wheel axle (6) and the other end in a joint (7) on the chair frame (3 ) fixed, whereby the wheel (1) with drive (2) is resiliently mounted with respect to the chair frame (3).
  • the two rear wheels (1) of the wheelchair are each driven by an electric motor by a drive (2) and cushioned against the chair frame (3).
  • the two drives (2) are movably connected to the chair frame (3) by means of ball-and-socket rods (8), which compensates for the spring movements of the wheels (1) in relation to the chair frame (3) if the road surface is uneven.
  • the ball joint rods (8) are articulated with a length end in the center area of the wheelchair on a strut (3a) of the chair frame (3) and with the other length end on a drive (2).
  • the wheelchair is equipped with a sprung double drive as the drive system.

Description

  • Fig. 1
