Definitions

  • the invention relates to a loading device for automatically loading an object into a motor vehicle, in particular a wheelchair, which has a guideway to be arranged in the motor vehicle with a transport carriage which can be moved therein and which has a lifting device with a holder for hanging the object to be loaded.
  • Loading devices of the above type are currently being installed in passenger cars in order to enable a disabled person to independently load his wheelchair in the motor vehicle after he has moved from the wheelchair to the driver's seat. To do this, he folds the wheelchair from the driver's seat and hangs it in the lifting device. He can then lift the wheelchair using an electric motor and then drive into the vehicle behind the front seats by moving the trolley on the guideway. The rear door of the motor vehicle is then closed automatically.
  • a loading device enables a wheelchair user to reach his work place without outside help, for example.
  • a disadvantage of the known loading devices is that conventional wheelchairs are often higher than the door opening and therefore do not fit into a motor vehicle in their upright position. You then help yourself by using a wheelchair with lowerable handles, but this requires additional work from the disabled.
  • Another disadvantage of the known loading devices is that they require at least two drives, namely one for lifting the wheelchair and one for horizontal movement into the motor vehicle. As a result, the loading device is relatively complex and therefore expensive, which can be a reason that it is dispensed with and the disabled person is therefore always dependent on outside help when loading his wheelchair.
  • the invention is based on the object of designing a loading device of the type mentioned at the outset that is as simple as possible in such a way that even an object, in particular a wheelchair, can be loaded automatically which, in the position of use, is higher than the door opening.
  • the transport carriage is tiltable in the foremost position in the guideway from a horizontal to an approximately vertical position and that the lifting device is a carriage which is movable in a straight guide on the transport carriage and has the holder.
  • a wheelchair standing next to the motor vehicle is first raised as in the known loading device, but then tilted onto its rear side. Since a wheelchair is usually shorter than it is tall, it can be easily moved through the door opening in this tilted position.
  • the tiltable arrangement of the trolley allows the wheelchair to be tilted and moved in a straight line in the guideway using very simple means.
  • the loading device as a whole is particularly compact if, according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the transport carriage is guided on the front and rear with a guide part in the guide path and the guide path in the upper area at the point has a recess on which the rear guide part is located when the front guide part has come close to the front end of the guide path and through which the rear guide part can extend upwards out of the guide path.
  • the method of the trolley and its tilting after reaching an end position can be brought about in a simple manner by means of a single drive if a coupling member is pivotably articulated about a horizontal axis at the rear of the trolley, which is also pivotable at its other end about a horizontal axis a drive car arranged behind the transport car is coupled.
  • the tipping of the trolley in the foremost position can be brought about very simply in that the trolley has two rollers or pairs of rollers in close succession on its front side and the guideway has an arcuate downward bend at its front end.
  • the course of the guideway causes the tilting movement because the transport carriage with its front rollers follows the downward course of the guideway.
  • the double rollers at the front end of the trolley and the curved downward bend of the guideway can be dispensed with if the front of the trolley has only one roller or a pair of rollers which can come into contact with a stop in the forward position of the trolley and if the rear end End of the trolley is biased by a spring in the tilt direction.
  • the initial lifting of the wheelchair can also be carried out by the same drive with which the tilting movement and the method on the guideway are brought about if, according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the drive car has a displaceable relative to the drive car in the direction of movement of the drive car, but in a rearward position a latching device with a couplable driver is provided, to which both ends of a drive chain running in the rail, which is guided by two deflection wheels, are fastened and from the front end of which a lifting chain leads to the carriage via a deflection wheel on the rear side of the transport carriage.
  • three movements of the wheelchair can be brought about with a single motor, namely lifting, tipping and driving into the motor vehicle.
  • the loading device is structurally particularly simple if the guideway is formed from two U-shaped rails which are parallel to one another and face one another with their open sides and the guide parts of the transport carriage and the drive carriage are rollers which run in the rails.
  • Such an embodiment is also particularly smooth and works without the risk of jamming, so that it requires only low driving forces, which is essential in view of the shortage of electrical energy to be extracted from the battery in a motor vehicle.
  • connection of the driver to the drive car and uncoupling when the end position of the drive car is reached can be done in a very simple manner purely mechanically without electrical control means in that the drive car has a rocker arm directed forward towards the transport car, each with a support wheel against the upper web every rail bears that in the Web of the rails for determining the end position of the drive carriage, a locking recess is provided, into which the support wheels are able to move into the end position of the drive carriage while pivoting the rocker arm, and that the driver has a snap-in receptacle for the positive connection of the driver to the rocker arm, as long as the wheels of the rocker arm have not reached the locking recess of the two rails.
  • a structurally simple, robust and reliably working embodiment of a locking device for releasably connecting the driver to the drive car is that the locking receptacle is formed by an upwardly open trough in the driver and the rocker arm has an axis connecting the support wheels, on which one Roll is arranged, which engages in the locking receptacle with the support wheels of the rocker covered by the webs of the rails.
  • the transport trolley is reliably held in the end position and free of canting if, according to another embodiment of the invention, the driver is T-shaped at its front end and has a snap-in receptacle upwards and downwards and if the drive trolley accordingly has two wings on its front side, one of which is supported with its support wheels on the upper web and the other rocker with its support wheels on the lower web of the rail and if the rails have an upward or downward recess in each of the webs.
  • the lifting movement of the carriage is advantageously brought about by the fact that a transversely oriented support piece is provided at the front end of the driver, which is connected in the middle to the transport chain moving the driver and on each side with one of two lifting chains guided parallel to the carriage is.
  • the transport trolley only has to travel relatively short distances on the guideway if, according to another embodiment of the invention, the guideway with links pivotable about vertical axes for pivoting the guideway from a position inside the motor vehicle in the longitudinal direction into an inclined position in which the front Area of the guideway protrudes from the door opening of the motor vehicle, is provided.
  • the space of a one-third rear bench seat is sufficient in a motor vehicle for loading a wheelchair. In addition to the loaded wheelchair, a passenger can also sit in the vehicle rear.
  • the guide track executes a precisely defined path of movement when pivoting, if, according to another embodiment of the invention, a further guide link pivotable about vertical axes is articulated between the front link and the rear link on the motor vehicle and on the guide link.
  • the resulting controlled movement path is necessary if this movement is to be motorized.
  • FIG. 1 shows an essentially rectilinear guideway 1, which has a short downward curve 2 at its front end.
  • a trolley 3 is shown in FIG. 1 which is tilted forward and has guide parts in the form of rollers 4, 4 ', 5.
  • the rollers 4, 4 ' are guided in the bend 2 of the guideway 1, while the roller 5 has come out of the guideway 1.
  • a straight guide 6 is fixedly arranged on the transport carriage 3, in which a carriage 7 serving as a lifting device is slidably held.
  • This carriage 7 has brackets 8, 9 into which a wheelchair 46 shown in FIGS. 4-7 can be inserted.
  • a coupling member 10 is pivoted about a horizontal axis on the rear of the transport carriage 3 and is also pivoted at its other end about a horizontal axis on the front of a drive carriage 11 guided in the guideway 1.
  • This drive car 11 is guided with front and rear rollers 12, 13 in the guideway 1.
  • a drive chain 25 runs along the guideway 1, which is deflected by a front deflection wheel 14 and a rear deflection wheel 15 and one end of which is fastened to the drive carriage 11 at the front and the other end of which is fastened to the drive carriage 11 at the rear. If one of the deflection wheels 14, 15 is driven with a motor (not shown), the drive carriage 11 can be moved forwards or backwards in the guideway 1, depending on the direction of rotation. Since the transport carriage 3 is connected to the drive carriage 11 by the coupling member 10, it also executes a movement when the drive carriage 11 is moved.
  • FIG. 2 shows that the guideway 1 is formed from two rails 16, 17 running parallel to one another, in which the drive carriage 11 is guided with the rollers 12, 12b and 13, 13b.
  • the transport carriage 3 is seated in the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 only with its front rollers 4, 4b in the rails 16, 17, while its rear rollers 5, 5b are located above the rails 16, 17.
  • the recesses 18, 19 therefore serve to allow the trolley 3 with its rear rollers 5, 5b to pivot out of the rails 16, 17 as soon as it has reached its foremost, horizontal position in the rails 16, 17 before it reaches the Rolls, 4 'in the downward guide track.
  • FIG. 2 also illustrates that the rear end of the guideway 11 is held by a link 20 which can be pivoted about vertical axes and points obliquely to the rear.
  • a link 20 which can be pivoted about vertical axes and points obliquely to the rear.
  • the guideway 1 Near the front end of the guideway 1, it is supported by two links 21, 22 which can also be pivoted about vertical axes and which in the position shown form an acute angle.
  • This link arrangement enables the guideway 1 to be pivoted from the position shown in solid lines to the position shown in broken lines, in which the front end of the guideway 1 protrudes from a door opening 23 of a motor vehicle.
  • a guide link 47 is additionally articulated on the rail 17 so as to be pivotable about a vertical axis its other end is pivotally mounted about a vertical axis near the door opening 23 on the motor vehicle.
  • This guide arm 47 ensures that the guideway 1 executes a precisely defined movement.
  • FIG. 3 clarifies the design of the front region of the drive carriage 11, the front rollers 12, 12b of which are guided in the rails 16, 17 and can be seen in FIG.
  • a rod-like driver 24 can be seen, which has a T-shaped head 26 at its front end, in which an upper latching receptacle 27 and a lower latching receptacle 28 are provided.
  • a roller 29, 30 is seated in a form-fitting manner in each of the two snap-in receptacles 27, 28.
  • the rollers 29, 30 are each mounted on an axis 31, 35, which connects two arms of a rocker arm 32, 33 pointing forward at an angle.
  • rockers 32, 33 are pivotally mounted on a split axle 34 carrying the rollers 12, 12b and are supported by support wheels 36, 37, 38, 39 mounted on the front axles 31, 33 on the upper and lower web of the rails 16, 17 onwards.
  • the rollers 29, 30 cannot come out of the latching receptacles 27, 28, so that the driver 24 is firmly connected to the drive carriage 11 and the drive carriage 11 therefore follows the movement of the driver 24 in the region of the rails 16, 17 shown.
  • the rockers 32, 33 can pivot up and down, because in this area in the upper and lower Webs of the rails 16, 17 locking recesses 40 are provided, in each of which one of the support wheels 36 39 is able to get.
  • the rollers 29, 30 move out of the latching receptacles 27, 28 and give the driver 25 free, so that it can continue to drive forward.
  • a transversely aligned support piece 41 is provided on the head 26 of the driver 24, to which one end of the drive chain 25 is fastened.
  • These lifting chains 42, 43 lead, as indicated in FIG. 4, via a deflection wheel 44 of the transport carriage 3 to a fastening point 45 in the lower region of the carriage 7.
