Definitions
- the invention relates to an actuating device on a brush nozzle according to the preamble of claim 1.
- suction tools equipped with rotating brushes so-called brush nozzles
- the rotating brushes are preferably roller-shaped.
- the axis of rotation of the roller-shaped brush extends parallel to the floor surface and transversely to the working direction of the nozzle.
- the roller-shaped brush is arranged in the housing of the nozzle, in the region of the inflow opening for the suction air flow, the suction air flow flowing to the suction cleaning device via a suction line which is connected to the nozzle in terms of flow.
- the rotating brush roller is driven by a belt drive by an electric motor or by an air turbine, which is driven by the suction air flow that flows through the nozzle housing.
- the brush nozzle is moved over the floor surface to be cleaned, the slot-shaped inflow opening being tight for the suction air flow comes to lie on the floor surface to be cleaned.
- the brush roller which is rotatably mounted in the nozzle housing, is arranged in such a way that its bristles project through the slot-shaped inflow opening for the suction air flow. Since, depending on the type of textile floor covering and its soiling, a more or less deep penetration of the bristle of the brush roller into the carpet pile is necessary, the rotating brush roller can be adjusted in height relative to the floor surface. The person working with the brush nozzle sets the penetration depth of the bristle of the brush roller into the carpet pile by means of a simple, easy-to-use adjusting device.
- An application label on the handle part of the actuating device shows the protrusion of the bristles in the area of the inflow opening of the nozzle and thus the depth of penetration into the carpet pile.
- it is completely returned to the nozzle housing. Since the bristle of the brush roller is worn over a longer period of use, some of the known brush nozzles allow one or more readjustments for the distance between the brush roller and the floor surface to compensate for the worn bristle length.
- the adjustment possibility is, for example, that the brush roller is supported at its ends in two bearing blocks, which are supported in form-fitting receiving pockets in the nozzle housing.
- the bearing bores of the bearing blocks which receive the bearing pins of the brush roller, are arranged eccentrically - e.g. 1.5 mm - to the opposing bearing surfaces of the two bearing blocks, so that when the bearing blocks are moved through 180 ° in the housing of the brush nozzle, a distance reduction of, for example, 3 mm in Direction to the floor surface results, which compensates for the shortened bristle length of, for example, 3 mm.
- the later block is two-tone, for example red / blue, and is labeled "I" for the new condition and "II" for the worn condition.
- this embodiment requires disassembly of the brush roller bearing and its assembly, errors often occurring, since consumers who are not skilled in the art in particular are overwhelmed and, moreover, the instructions for use can usually no longer be found.
- the object underlying the invention is to provide an adjustment for the distance of the brush roller to the floor surface to compensate for the bristle wear, which does not require a manual and tool-related effort and can be easily carried out by the person working with the device.
- the task is solved as follows:
- the height adjustment of the doping brush roller required for adaptation to the floor to be cleaned in each case for the desired penetration depth of the bristle into the textile floor covering to be cleaned is carried out by means of an adjusting disc with its vertical axis which projects through the upper housing wall of the brush nozzle and which is located within the nozzle housing located helically rising divided annular surface is rotatably connected.
- An adjusting lever slides on this annular surface under the action of a spring.
- This control lever is firmly connected to a rotatably mounted shaft.
- a bearing lever is frictionally applied, the projecting ends of which form the bearing of the rotating brush roller.
- a lifting or lowering movement of the actuating lever resting on the ring surface causes a lifting or lowering movement of the two bearing levers and thus a lifting or Lowering movement of the brush roller stored in it.
- the ring surface which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the adjusting disc, is designed to rise in a helical shape and is divided into two sections of 180 ° each. These two ring surfaces have the same pitch angle, but are graduated from each other by a few millimeters.
- the adjusting lever When the adjusting disc is turned from its initial position, the adjusting lever is raised so far that the brush roller moved via the adjusting mechanism is moved from its "position furthest away from the floor" within the nozzle housing to its "position closest to the floor".
- the brush nozzle experiences this with increasing service life Bristle an increasing wear, so that it becomes necessary to compensate for the shortening of the bristle by lowering the brush roller towards the floor surface.
- the second half of the ring surface is used for this. Compared to the first half of the ring surface, the height is a few millimeters - for example 3 mm - at the same pitch angle.
- the bristle length shortened due to wear and tear is compensated, so that work can continue with the usual adjustment of the adjusting disc.
- Appropriate labeling in the area of the adjusting disc gives the person working with the device the necessary information.
- an inhibition threshold is installed between the two partial ring surfaces. A “non-limitation" of the setting height in the work area compared to the "readjustment area” would result in the bristles brushing against the nozzle housing when the work area is exceeded and lead to damage or malfunctions.
- the brush nozzle 1 is mounted on the rear support wheels 2 and the front rollers 3 with its suction opening 4 at a short distance from the floor surface 5 to be cleaned and is easily movable.
- the width and length of the suction opening 4 are dimensioned such that the brush roller 9 mounted in the nozzle housing 8 so as to be vertically movable and rotating, in its position facing the floor covering 5, projects through the suction opening 4 with its bristle 10, so that it brushes into the pile of the textile floor covering 5 can penetrate.
- the rotating brush roller 9 is driven via a belt drive 11 by the electric motor 12.
- the ends of the brush roller 9 are mounted in the bearings 17 and 18 of the bearing levers 19 and 20 with their ends 13 and 14 rotating.
- the bearing levers 19 and 20 are rotatably connected to the pivot shaft 22, which is rotatably supported about its longitudinal axis between the guide ribs 23 and 24.
- the pivot lever 28 is non-positively connected to the pivot shaft 22; its projecting free, movable end 29 abuts the stepped, helically rising ring surface 33.
- This annular surface is rotatably connected to the adjusting disc 35 and rotatably supported about the vertical axis of rotation 32.
- the adjusting disc 35 extends through the upper wall 36 of the nozzle housing 8.
- the ring surface 33 projecting into the nozzle housing interior is divided into two partial ring surfaces 33 'and 33' of 180 ° each.
- the first partial ring surface 33 ' is graduated from the second partial ring surface 33 ⁇ at the same pitch angle and the same pitch direction by a few millimeters.
- the on the helically rising partial ring surface 33 'and sliding on this free end 29 of the pivot lever 28 transmits the lifting or lowering movement generated by the pitch angle of the partial ring surface 33' via the pivot shaft 22 and the rotationally connected bearing levers 19 and 20 to the brush roller 9.
- the working area and thus the setting range of the brush roller 9 corresponds to a rotation of 180 ° of the adjusting disc 35 and thus the partial ring surface 33 '.
- the helically rising partial ring surface 33 ⁇ which also extends over 180 ° and is stepped relative to the partial ring surface 33 'by a few millimeters, is provided.
- the "new condition” and the “wear condition” of the brush roller can be carried out in a matter of seconds and without the need for manual and tool-related effort and without risk of error by actuating only one component.
- Another embodiment of the actuating device is e.g. the horizontal arrangement of the axis of rotation for the adjusting disc and thus for the partial ring surfaces connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an actuating device on a brush nozzle according to the preamble of
For cleaning floors with different types of coverings, but mainly for cleaning textile floor coverings, suction tools equipped with rotating brushes, so-called brush nozzles, are used in connection with suction cleaning devices. The rotating brushes are preferably roller-shaped. The axis of rotation of the roller-shaped brush extends parallel to the floor surface and transversely to the working direction of the nozzle. The roller-shaped brush is arranged in the housing of the nozzle, in the region of the inflow opening for the suction air flow, the suction air flow flowing to the suction cleaning device via a suction line which is connected to the nozzle in terms of flow. The rotating brush roller is driven by a belt drive by an electric motor or by an air turbine, which is driven by the suction air flow that flows through the nozzle housing. During the cleaning process, the brush nozzle is moved over the floor surface to be cleaned, the slot-shaped inflow opening being tight for the suction air flow comes to lie on the floor surface to be cleaned. The brush roller, which is rotatably mounted in the nozzle housing, is arranged in such a way that its bristles project through the slot-shaped inflow opening for the suction air flow. An application label on the handle part of the actuating device shows the protrusion of the bristles in the area of the inflow opening of the nozzle and thus the depth of penetration into the carpet pile. To clean hard, smooth floor surfaces when no use of the rotating brush is desired, it is completely returned to the nozzle housing. Since the bristle of the brush roller is worn over a longer period of use, some of the known brush nozzles allow one or more readjustments for the distance between the brush roller and the floor surface to compensate for the worn bristle length. The adjustment possibility is, for example, that the brush roller is supported at its ends in two bearing blocks, which are supported in form-fitting receiving pockets in the nozzle housing. The bearing bores of the bearing blocks, which receive the bearing pins of the brush roller, are arranged eccentrically - e.g. To identify the different distances between the bearing bore and the respective bearing surface of the bearing block, the later block is two-tone, for example red / blue, and is labeled "I" for the new condition and "II" for the worn condition. However, this embodiment requires disassembly of the brush roller bearing and its assembly, errors often occurring, since consumers who are not skilled in the art in particular are overwhelmed and, moreover, the instructions for use can usually no longer be found.
The object underlying the invention is to provide an adjustment for the distance of the brush roller to the floor surface to compensate for the bristle wear, which does not require a manual and tool-related effort and can be easily carried out by the person working with the device.
The task is solved as follows:
The height adjustment of the doping brush roller required for adaptation to the floor to be cleaned in each case for the desired penetration depth of the bristle into the textile floor covering to be cleaned is carried out by means of an adjusting disc with its vertical axis which projects through the upper housing wall of the brush nozzle and which is located within the nozzle housing located helically rising divided annular surface is rotatably connected. An adjusting lever slides on this annular surface under the action of a spring. This control lever is firmly connected to a rotatably mounted shaft. At both ends a bearing lever is frictionally applied, the projecting ends of which form the bearing of the rotating brush roller. A lifting or lowering movement of the actuating lever resting on the ring surface causes a lifting or lowering movement of the two bearing levers and thus a lifting or Lowering movement of the brush roller stored in it. The ring surface, which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the adjusting disc, is designed to rise in a helical shape and is divided into two sections of 180 ° each. These two ring surfaces have the same pitch angle, but are graduated from each other by a few millimeters. When the bristle of the brush roller is new, the free end of the adjusting lever lies on the higher partial ring surface and slides along this partial surface when the adjusting disk rotates. The maximum glide path is 180 °. When the adjusting disc is turned from its initial position, the adjusting lever is raised so far that the brush roller moved via the adjusting mechanism is moved from its "position furthest away from the floor" within the nozzle housing to its "position closest to the floor". The brush nozzle experiences this with increasing service life Bristle an increasing wear, so that it becomes necessary to compensate for the shortening of the bristle by lowering the brush roller towards the floor surface. The second half of the ring surface is used for this. Compared to the first half of the ring surface, the height is a few millimeters - for example 3 mm - at the same pitch angle. By turning the adjusting disc in this second area of application, the bristle length shortened due to wear and tear is compensated, so that work can continue with the usual adjustment of the adjusting disc. Appropriate labeling in the area of the adjusting disc gives the person working with the device the necessary information. In order to avoid an unintentional overturning of the adjusting disk from the "new bristle area" into the "worn bristle area", an inhibition threshold is installed between the two partial ring surfaces. A "non-limitation" of the setting height in the work area compared to the "readjustment area" would result in the bristles brushing against the nozzle housing when the work area is exceeded and lead to damage or malfunctions.

- Fig. 4 ist ein Beschriftungsbeispiel für die Stellscheibe
- Fig. 1 shows a brush nozzle in the view from above, partially in section

The
The first partial ring surface 33 'is graduated from the second
Since after a longer period of use of the
Through this inventive design of the height adjustment device for the brush roller, the "new condition" and the "wear condition" of the brush roller can be carried out in a matter of seconds and without the need for manual and tool-related effort and without risk of error by actuating only one component.
It is also conceivable to distribute the adjustability for the worn bristles of the brush roller over several adjustment range levels.
Another embodiment of the actuating device is e.g. the horizontal arrangement of the axis of rotation for the adjusting disc and thus for the partial ring surfaces connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner.
