Definitions
- the application relates to an essentially circular symmetrical, hollow cylindrical bung for winding cores made of paper or cardboard which is produced in one piece as a molded part from a mixture of fibers and a thermosetting binder and which has a constant diameter over approximately the outer half of its total length, the inside remaining length of which is conical and the surface of which is provided with a plurality of longitudinally extending caterpillar thickenings distributed over the circumference.
- the winding sleeves are preferably winding sleeves made of paper, cardboard and / or cardboard for paper, cardboard and cardboard in accordance with DIN 6748. After the material to be wound has been wound onto the winding sleeves, the winding material rolls of removed from the winding device and then the bung is driven in before the winding material rolls are transported to the packaging devices.
- the end faces of the winding material rolls are first covered with circular disks, for example made of cardboard, by the packaging devices and then the circumference of the winding material rolls is wrapped in paper in a packaging machine.
- the circular discs are fastened to the bung with clips.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of improving the bung mentioned at the outset in a technically and economically manner in such a way that further driving in of the same is reliably prevented when the disks are attached.
- This object is achieved in that the outer edge of the bung, starting at about 90% of the total length, is provided with a steadily increasing thickening.
- the bung is a circularly symmetrical, hollow cylindrical body 1 which has a constant outer diameter over at least half its length. This part merges into a conical part 2, which comes the furthest inwards when the bung is used.
- the caterpillar-shaped thickenings 3 are arranged on the surface of the bung, which are provided for tolerance compensation and for increasing the friction between the bung and the winding tube.
- the bung shown in FIG. 1 has, for example, four thickenings evenly distributed around the circumference. At the extreme end of the sheet pile, the diameter of the sheet increases steadily. This slight thickening 7, which can be implemented with little effort, counteracts the driving force of the bung with the required resistance.
- FIG. 2 The use of the bung according to FIG. 1 is illustrated in FIG. 2.
- the winding tube 5 is wound with the winding material 6, for example a very large number of paper turns.
- the bung 7 is driven, on which the disc 8 is fastened by means of clips.
- the non-rising mixture from which the bung is to be made usually consists of lignocellulosic fibrous materials, such as shredded and dried wood chips, bagasse fibers and the like, which are mixed with a thermosetting synthetic resin, such as a melamine-urea-formaldehyde or phenol-formaldehyde resin.
- a thermosetting synthetic resin such as a melamine-urea-formaldehyde or phenol-formaldehyde resin.
- fibers of other materials such as glass fibers, rock wool or asbestos fibers, alone or several of them mixed with one another, to which corresponding, preferably organic, binders have been added can also be used.
Abstract
Description
The application relates to an essentially circular symmetrical, hollow cylindrical bung for winding cores made of paper or cardboard which is produced in one piece as a molded part from a mixture of fibers and a thermosetting binder and which has a constant diameter over approximately the outer half of its total length, the inside remaining length of which is conical and the surface of which is provided with a plurality of longitudinally extending caterpillar thickenings distributed over the circumference.
Ein solcher Spund ist bekannt ( Prospekt : " Formgepreßte Spunde für Aufwickelhülsen " der Fa. Werzalit AG + Co., Unternehmensbereich Industrieprodukte, 7141 Oberstenfeld ). Such a bung is known (prospectus: "Molded bung for take-up cores" from Werzalit AG + Co., Industrial Products division, 7141 Oberstenfeld). These known bung have proven themselves in large numbers in practical use. The winding sleeves, in which the known bungles are used, are preferably winding sleeves made of paper, cardboard and / or cardboard for paper, cardboard and cardboard in accordance with DIN 6748. After the material to be wound has been wound onto the winding sleeves, the winding material rolls of removed from the winding device and then the bung is driven in before the winding material rolls are transported to the packaging devices.
The end faces of the winding material rolls are first covered with circular disks, for example made of cardboard, by the packaging devices and then the circumference of the winding material rolls is wrapped in paper in a packaging machine. The circular discs are fastened to the bung with clips.
If the tolerances of the outside diameter of the bung and / or the inside diameter of the winding sleeve add up to the negative, it can happen that the bung when the circular disks are fastened again by a certain length into the winding sleeve by the required relatively large driving force for the clips becomes.
However, this leads to the disadvantageous effect that the disc no longer lies flush on the end face of the roll of winding material, but rather is deformed concavely — preferably on its outer edge. However, this has the consequence that the edge of the disc in the packaging device, in which the winding of the rolls of winding material is carried out automatically, is no longer detected and the packaging is therefore defective.
The invention is therefore based on the object of improving the bung mentioned at the outset in a technically and economically manner in such a way that further driving in of the same is reliably prevented when the disks are attached.
This object is achieved in that the outer edge of the bung, starting at about 90% of the total length, is provided with a steadily increasing thickening.
This technical solution ensures on the one hand that the bung can be driven so far into the winding tube that its outer surface does not over the end face of the Projecting material protrudes and the winding tube is not deformed inadmissibly, but on the other hand reliably prevents the bung from being driven further into the winding tube when the disks are attached.
- Fig. 1 shows the cross section through the bung according to the invention and
- Fig. 2 shows the detail of a roll of winding material, which contains a bung according to FIG. 1.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, the bung is a circularly symmetrical, hollow cylindrical body 1 which has a constant outer diameter over at least half its length. This part merges into a
The use of the bung according to FIG. 1 is illustrated in FIG. 2. The
The non-rising mixture from which the bung is to be made usually consists of lignocellulosic fibrous materials, such as shredded and dried wood chips, bagasse fibers and the like, which are mixed with a thermosetting synthetic resin, such as a melamine-urea-formaldehyde or phenol-formaldehyde resin. Instead of the shredded and dried wood or bagasse fibers, fibers of other materials, such as glass fibers, rock wool or asbestos fibers, alone or several of them mixed with one another, to which corresponding, preferably organic, binders have been added can also be used.
