Description

The invention relates to a concealed valve for the sanitary area with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1. Such a valve is known from EP-A 0 088 984. In the known valve, it is necessary that after the installation in the building wall and the application of the plaster, tiles, etc., the protruding protective sleeve and the hollow spindle are cut to a certain size.

The invention has for its object to improve the flush valve described above, so that a cutting process after installation in the building wall can be omitted.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. Further refinements of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 7.

  • Figur 1 ein Unterputz-Ventil teilweise im Längsschnitt;
Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing and are described in more detail below. It shows
  • Figure 1 shows a concealed valve partially in longitudinal section;
  • Figure 2 shows a part of the flush valve according to Figure 1 with a modified protective sleeve part and extension piece.

In the two exemplary embodiments in the drawing, the same or corresponding elements are provided with the same reference numerals for the sake of simplicity. 1 consists of a valve housing 1 with connection openings 10 for 1/2 " pipelines. A standardized upper valve part 2 is screwed into the valve housing 1, which is provided with an axially movable valve disk 23, which is provided with an in Valve housing 1 interacts with screwed-in valve seat 11. The axial movement of valve plate 23 is generated by rotating an actuating spindle 21. In addition to the valve upper part 2 described above, valve inserts with ceramic valve disks that are standardized in terms of their external dimensions can of course also be arranged 1 screwed in and arrives at the valve seat 11 for tight sealing, the flow being regulated with mutually adjoining, ground, ground ceramic disks.

An extension piece 51 with an extension spindle 5 and a protective sleeve 3 can be attached to the standardized valve upper part 2. The protective sleeve 3 is formed in two parts, the lower sleeve 31 being securely screwed onto the valve upper part 2 with a fine thread 24. To carry out the screwing process 31 radial bores 34 are formed in the jacket of the sleeve. The extension piece 51 is arranged coaxially to the sleeve 31 with a receiving opening 511 in a rotationally fixed manner on the actuating spindle 21 by means of a serration 53. For axial securing, snap tongues 513 are also formed in the extension piece 51 in the area of the receiving opening 511, with which the extension piece 51 is secured in the plugged position on the actuating spindle 21. On the sleeve 31, a protruding part of the protective sleeve 3 is designed as a cap 32 and can be screwed on telescopically by means of thread 33. An extension spindle 5 is arranged coaxially in the cap 32 on a shoulder 322 with the aid of a snap ring 55, axially fixed but rotatably mounted. The extension spindle 5 has an axial opening 54 in which a serration 53 is formed which, together with the serration 53 formed on the lateral surface 512 of the extension piece 51, causes a rotationally fixed but axially displaceable coupling of the two parts. On the outer circumferential surface of the cap 32, an outer collar 321 is also formed, on which a movable rosette 4 is supported on the outer surface. On the outer end face of the cap 32, a pin 52 is also formed on the extension spindle 5, on which a handle 6 is fixed with the aid of a known insulating and snap holder 61.

When installing the flush-mounted valve, the lower sleeve 31 is first screwed onto the valve insert housing 22 and the extension piece 51 is plugged onto the actuating spindle 21. Now the cap 32 with the extension spindle 5 and the rosette 4 is screwed onto the sleeve 31 with the thread 33 until the rosette 4 lies firmly against the building wall 7 and closes the building wall opening, thereby ensuring that the distance of the valve actuating device from the Wall surface is independent of the valve installation depth. In addition, the screw connection of the thread 33 is secured by this arrangement and the protective sleeve 3 is supported. Now the handle 6 can be plugged onto the pin 52 with the aid of the insulating and snap holder 61, whereupon the flush-mounted shut-off valve is ready for operation. The protective sleeve 3 and the extension piece 51 and the extension spindle 5 are designed so that the normal installation depths from X to Y for flush-mounted valves (e.g. 50 to 80 mm) are infinitely adjustable.

Here, a lower sleeve 31 a and an extension piece 51 a are provided, both of which have the same protruding length. The thread 33 is divided on the sleeve 31a by an annular groove 331. The dimensions of the protective sleeve 3 and the extension spindle 5 with the extension piece 51 a are designed so that a continuous adjustment of 80 to 50 mm installation depth (Y to X) is possible. In special installation cases, however, it is possible that only an installation depth of up to 20 mm can be achieved. In this case, the sleeve 31 a can be separated together with the extension piece 51 a in the region of the annular groove 331, for example before the flush-mounted valve is installed. Then there is a continuous setting from X to Y, for example from 20 to 50 mm possible. In order to enable a relatively simple separation, the support tube 3 and the extension piece 51a can expediently be produced from plastic in an injection molding process.
