Definitions
- the invention relates to a suction cleaning tool according to the preamble of claim 1.
- suction cleaning tools For cleaning upholstered surfaces, such as upholstered furniture, seat and back surfaces of seating devices in vehicles, etc., which are provided with a textile covering, suction cleaning tools are used which are connected to a stationary or portable suction cleaning device via a suction line. Since these upholstery surfaces are mainly cleaned dry, the suction cleaning tool must be provided with bristles to achieve a thorough cleaning effect. This results in a mechanical detachment of the dirt particles from the upholstery cover in addition to the dirt absorption by the suction air flow. To clean the gaps between the seat and back cushions, a flat suction nozzle, a so-called crevice nozzle, is necessary, with which you can get into joints and gaps between the individual adjoining upholstery parts, where dust and dirt can settle particularly easily.
- the nozzle body is partly designed as a flat nozzle with bristles and partly as a crevice nozzle.
- this nozzle construction has the disadvantage that the fixed bristle stocking of the flat nozzle can only be moved with considerable effort by the operator over the surfaces to be cleaned, since the rigid bristles can get very caught in the textile covering of the upholstery surface. This leads, in particular in the case of commercial cleaning, for example of upholstered seats in buses, taxis, passenger coaches, etc., to severe operator fatigue and poor cleaning results.
- the crevice nozzle projects relatively far beyond the other nozzle body part. As a result, it often happens that the operator hits the furniture nozzle with the crevice nozzle or gets caught. This is extremely annoying and requires increased awareness to avoid damage.
- the changeover of the suction nozzle from the flat nozzle to the crevice nozzle and vice versa requires a relatively large amount of force because the entire vacuum cleaner nozzle has to be pivoted for this purpose.
- the invention has for its object to provide a suction cleaning tool of this type so that a strong suction air flow can be generated with simple and easy handling for comprehensive, thorough cleaning even narrow, difficult to access spaces in the crevice nozzle.
- the second suction nozzle (crevice nozzle) is in its position of use with its suction or. Air duct in connection with the inflow opening via the air duct according to the invention.
- the second suction nozzle in its inoperative position lies within the outer contour of the housing of the first suction nozzle and does not protrude beyond it.
- the crevice nozzle then does not interfere with the suction of upholstery surfaces and the like with the first suction nozzle.
- the crevice nozzle can be adjusted outwards from its inoperative position to its position of use by simply pivoting it relative to the first suction nozzle.
- the crevice nozzle is ready for use at any time immediately and in a simple manner or can be swiveled back correspondingly simply into its non-use position.
- the combination of the first suction nozzle with a rotating brush and the crevice nozzle, each of which can be easily adapted to the respective cleaning area, enables optimal, fatigue-free and extremely thorough cleaning of the entire poster area.
- FIG. 1 to 5 show a suction cleaning tool with a first suction nozzle 1 and 13 designed as a brush nozzle and a second as a crevice nozzle.
- the first suction nozzle 1 has a housing with a housing lower and cover part 1a and 33.
- a connecting piece 3 projects over the rear side 2 of the housing.
- the tool is connected to a connecting piece 4 of a suction line 5 (FIG. 3) of a (not shown) Suction cleaning unit detachably connected.
- the brush 7 is driven by a belt 11 by an air turbine 9, which is set in rotation by the suction air flow flowing into the housing 1 a via an inflow opening 16.
- the suction air flow flowing in during the cleaning process flows after leaving a blading 10 of the air turbine 9 through the connecting piece 3, the connecting part 4 and the suction line 5 to the suction unit.
- the dirt and dust contained in the suction air flow is retained in a filter device (not shown).
- the suction cleaning tool has the crevice nozzle 13, which preferably has a flat, rectangular cross section (FIG. 3).
- the crevice nozzle 13 is accommodated in a receptacle 25 in its inoperative position within the contour of the housing 1a, 33 of the first suction nozzle 1.
- the receptacle 25 is formed by a shoulder-shaped shoulder of an upper housing wall 12 of the housing cover part 33, so that the housing in a front area having the brush 7 is lower by approximately the height of the crevice nozzle 13 than in the adjoining area which has the air turbine 9.
- the crevice nozzle 13 is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis 14 perpendicular to the axis of the connecting piece 3. Their length is approximately equal to the width of the housing 1a, 33 measured transversely to the axis A of the connecting piece 3.
- the crevice nozzle 13 has at one end 13a a downwardly projecting, preferably cylindrical plug-in projection 26 (FIGS. 1 and 5), which has an opening 21 for the suction air stream flowing in at the other end 27 via a suction opening 17.
- the crevice nozzle 13 projects with the plug-in projection 26 into a cylindrical housing opening 32 of the housing cover part 33.
- the crevice nozzle lies in its use and non-use position with a protrusion 13b projecting outward beyond the plug-in projection 26 in the opposite direction as the actual suction piece 13a on a shoulder surface 33a Housing cover part 33 on (Fig. 6). With the projection 13b, the crevice nozzle 13 is securely supported on the housing 1a, 33 in its position of use.
- the crevice nozzle 13 can be pivoted out of its out-of-use position (FIGS. 1 and 3) outward by about 90 ° into a use position (FIGS. 2 and 4), the shoulder 26 rotating in the housing opening 32.
- the suction cleaning tool lies with the bottom 6 of the first suction nozzle 1 on the surface to be cleaned and is moved over the upholstery surface to be cleaned so that the brush 7 engages in the textile upholstery cover and releases the adhering dirt, which is then removed from the suction air flow is recorded and transported away.
- the suction air stream flows here through the suction opening 8 via the brush 7 through an inflow opening 16 of the housing into the blading 10 of the air turbine and from there via the connecting piece 3 to the suction line 5.
- the air turbine 9 is set in rotation and the roller-shaped via the belt 11 Brush driven.
- the crevice nozzle is pivoted from its inoperative position (Fig. 1 and 3) by 90 ° into its use position (Fig. 2 and 4), in which it moves forward about half its length over the Housing 1a, 33 protrudes.
- the flow path of the suction air flow is deflected such that it no longer passes through the suction opening 8, but rather through that at the free end 27 the suction nozzle 17 flows into the crevice nozzle 13.
- the crevice nozzle 13 can be easily pushed into narrow and narrow spaces between upholstery parts in their use position, so that the spaces can be cleaned easily and quickly.
- the deflection of the suction air flow when the crevice nozzle 13a is pivoted outwards via the housing 1a, 33 is indicated in FIG. 4 by arrows.
- the air duct 19 is pivotable about an axis 18 parallel to the axis A.
- the air duct 19 is formed by an angular tube, the pivot axis 18 passing through a short, preferably cylindrical tube section 28 with an opening 20.
- the longer other pipe section 29 extends transversely to the axis A of the connecting piece 3.
- the pipe section 29 preferably has a rectangular profile cross section and has a lateral mouth opening 22 at its free end 30. Its opening cross section corresponds to the opening cross section of the inflow opening 16 of the housing 1a, 33. Die Openings 16 and 22 come to coincide when the crevice nozzle 13 is pivoted into its use position (FIGS. 2 and 4), while the opening 22 lies at a distance above the opening 16 when the crevice nozzle 13 assumes its non-use position (FIG. 1, 3 and 5).
- the air duct 19 lies in such a way that its tube section 28 or the mouth opening 20 with the mouth opening 21 of the crevice nozzle 13 forms an acute angle which opens outward to the adjacent housing wall 31 lock in.
- the other pipe section 29 is inclined slightly obliquely upwards from the housing base 6 in the direction of the crevice nozzle 13.
- the air duct 19 is also pivoted so that the opening 20 of the air duct 19 (FIG. 5) opposite the opening 2l is aligned with the mouth opening 21 (FIG. 7).
- the tube section 29 abuts the housing base 6 with its free end 30.
- the crevice nozzle 13 is provided with a latching lock 31 (FIGS. 6 to 9) with which an unwanted pivoting of the crevice nozzle 13 from its position of use (FIG. 2.4) and from its non-use position (FIG. 1.3) is to be prevented.
- the latching lock 31 (Fig. 6, 9) is designed so that it is effective without manual actuation of a locking or releasing device. It consists of a resilient lever 35, a pin 37 with a cap 39 and a first and second locking recess 40 and 41. They are formed by axially extending grooves on the outside of the plug-in extension 26.
- the lever 35 protrudes vertically upwards over an axle stub 18a which forms the pivot axis 18 and is supported with its ends in the housing 1a, 33.
- the stub axle 18a also lies in a cylindrical, short tube 44, one end of which forms the mouth opening 20.
- the pipe section 44 is fitted into the short, upwardly projecting pipe section of the air duct 19 to form a structural unit. It has a thickened convex outwardly curved edge section 45, with which the air channel slides in the housing opening 32 when pivoted. In the area of the free end 47, the inside 47 ⁇ of the housing opening 32 is curved concavely outwards, so that the edge section 45 fits into the end 47 in a form-fitting and airtight manner.
- the upwardly projecting lever 35 which has the pin 37 at its upper end 36. It protrudes through a slot 34 in a partition 38 (FIGS. 8, 9) of the lower housing part 1a. With its rounded free end designed as a crest 39, the pin 37 lies in one of the recesses 40 and 41 of the plug-in attachment 26.
- the depressions are arranged on the peripheral surface of the plug-in attachment 26 at a functional distance from one another.
- an unlocking button 24 is additionally provided (FIGS. 1 to 5). It is operatively connected to the lever 35 in such a way that the button 24 is pressed when depressed hits the lever 35 with a lower wedge surface and thereby deflects it out of its locked position.
- the release button 24 projects upwards over an upper housing wall 12 (FIG. 4), so that it can be actuated easily.

Description
The invention relates to a suction cleaning tool according to the preamble of
For cleaning upholstered surfaces, such as upholstered furniture, seat and back surfaces of seating devices in vehicles, etc., which are provided with a textile covering, suction cleaning tools are used which are connected to a stationary or portable suction cleaning device via a suction line. The suction nozzles used to clean upholstered surfaces are too large to be pushed into the narrow spaces that are difficult to access. On the other hand, the crevice nozzle is unsuitable for cleaning upholstered surfaces. Therefore, the suction and crevice nozzle must be replaced with each other relatively often during the cleaning process. This repeated changing of the suction nozzles is extremely annoying and makes cleaning Upholstered furniture and vehicle seats are very time consuming. This has a disadvantageous effect on cleaning costs, particularly in commercial cleaning. To avoid these disadvantages, a vacuum cleaner nozzle is known (DE-OS 20 52 606), in which the entire nozzle body can be pivoted about a connecting piece that can be detachably connected to the suction line. The nozzle body is partly designed as a flat nozzle with bristles and partly as a crevice nozzle. However, this nozzle construction has the disadvantage that the fixed bristle stocking of the flat nozzle can only be moved with considerable effort by the operator over the surfaces to be cleaned, since the rigid bristles can get very caught in the textile covering of the upholstery surface. This leads, in particular in the case of commercial cleaning, for example of upholstered seats in buses, taxis, passenger coaches, etc., to severe operator fatigue and poor cleaning results. It is particularly disadvantageous that the crevice nozzle projects relatively far beyond the other nozzle body part. As a result, it often happens that the operator hits the furniture nozzle with the crevice nozzle or gets caught. This is extremely annoying and requires increased awareness to avoid damage. Finally, the changeover of the suction nozzle from the flat nozzle to the crevice nozzle and vice versa requires a relatively large amount of force because the entire vacuum cleaner nozzle has to be pivoted for this purpose.
The invention has for its object to provide a suction cleaning tool of this type so that a strong suction air flow can be generated with simple and easy handling for comprehensive, thorough cleaning even narrow, difficult to access spaces in the crevice nozzle.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a suction cleaning tool of the generic type with the characterizing features of
As a result of the inventive design, the second suction nozzle (crevice nozzle) is in its position of use with its suction or. Air duct in connection with the inflow opening via the air duct according to the invention. As a result, there is a very strong suction air flow in the area of the suction opening of the crevice nozzle, with which dirt and dust particles can be loosened and removed from narrow spaces and the like. This ensures simple, thorough cleaning without the tool having to be constructed in a complex manner. It is also advantageous if the second suction nozzle in its inoperative position lies within the outer contour of the housing of the first suction nozzle and does not protrude beyond it. The crevice nozzle then does not interfere with the suction of upholstery surfaces and the like with the first suction nozzle. However, the crevice nozzle can be adjusted outwards from its inoperative position to its position of use by simply pivoting it relative to the first suction nozzle. As a result, the crevice nozzle is ready for use at any time immediately and in a simple manner or can be swiveled back correspondingly simply into its non-use position. The combination of the first suction nozzle with a rotating brush and the crevice nozzle, each of which can be easily adapted to the respective cleaning area, enables optimal, fatigue-free and extremely thorough cleaning of the entire poster area.

For cleaning narrow, difficult to access spaces between the individual upholstery parts, the suction cleaning tool has the
The
The
The
To clean narrow and narrow spaces between the individual upholstery parts, the crevice nozzle is pivoted from its inoperative position (Fig. 1 and 3) by 90 ° into its use position (Fig. 2 and 4), in which it moves forward about half its length over the
The deflection of the suction air flow when the
The
Since the
The
