Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a control unit having a membrane intended to signal and automatically control the time of emptying of textile residues accumulated in the filters of passenger textile cleaners.
  • Patent DE-A-1404200 relates to a blower and vacuum device for textile machines, equipped with an air filter, an automatic cleaner for said filter and also automatic means for emptying the waste tank.
  • the structure of this device has several complicated mechanical elements and it is not intended to adopt a double chamber there or to adapt to it a membrane which can act both under pressure and under vacuum, and this is what the realization of this request now proposes.
  • the new unit characterized in that it operates under vacuum or under pressure and has the appropriate means to adapt to the corresponding chamber where the separator filter is located and with which the corresponding turbine acts, said membrane being combined with a detector dependent on an electrical circuit capable of activating, automatically, the mechanisms of the cleaner provided for the emptying at the appropriate point of these residues, such as fluff, wires and others, which then detach from this filter, on which they formed a layer which neutralized the action of this turbine.
  • the membrane is constantly subjected to the tension of an internal spring which keeps apart, at the rest phase of the assembly, an adjustable central contact or stop located in this membrane from another clean fixed contact of the detector and mounted normally at the bottom of a box at the edge of which this membrane is fixed, the cleaning mechanism which depends on said detector coming into action when the vacuum is high (with what these contacts are closed) or when the pressure is low (with what the corresponding contacts open), all this caused by the obstruction of the filter, by overcoming, in the first case, the tension of the spring interposed between these contacts, while in the second one gives the freedom so that said spring relaxes , by adjusting the distance between the detector contact and the central contact or stop of the diaphragm by moving either directly the latter (vacuum action of the device) or said detect eur through a differential operating socket (pressure action of the assembly).
  • the unit that is described consists of a membrane (1), of normally circular shape and of variable material, which is applied to the edge (2) of a box (3) using a fixing ring (4).
  • the center of said membrane (1) is occupied by a screw (5), axially open and provided inside with a threaded rod which acts as an adjustment stop (6).
  • a nut (7) remains attached to the face.
  • a casserole (8) which receives the end of a helical spring (9) pressed, by its other end, against the bottom of the box (3), which has several holes (10) for the passage of air and another central for fixing a screw (11) which acts as a detector and which is connected to electrical conductors (12), which are part of a circuit discharge maneuvering device.
  • the membrane unit of FIG. 1 is intended to act under pressure while that of FIG. 2 is intended to operate under vacuum, however their structure is the same in their fundamental elements, as can be seen by examining these figures.
  • the membrane (1), mounted on the carriage or textile traveler (13) is, in the example of Figs. 1 and 4 (pressure operation) in direct communication with the interior of the upper chamber (14) (pressure zone Fig. 4), while in the embodiment of Figs. 2 and 5 (vacuum operation the above-mentioned chamber is in communication, through its box (3), with the interior of the lower chamber (16) (vacuum zone, Fig. 5).
  • the box is external to the device and in the second is internal.
  • the trolley or traveler (13) is provided with the appropriate general filter (17), under which are accumulated the flocks (18) conducted through the troughs (19), to which are connected the suction handles which act during the movement of the trolley (13) on the rails about (20), supported by the bearing group (21) and with the impulse of the motor (22).
  • the device is completed by a differential adjustment socket (23).
  • the membrane (1) when it has to act under vacuum (Fig. 2 and 5), is located in communication with the suction chamber (16).
  • the turbine (15) draws air through the general filter (17).
  • this same turbine creates a vacuum which, by acting on the membrane (1) and defeating the resistance of the spring (9), produces, through the adjuster (6), the contact of this membrane with the detector (11), which generates a signal which, through the conductors (12), is sent to the electrical circuit which starts the normal mechanisms of the textile cleaner (13) and the emptying of these residues (18) then takes place at the place intended for this usage.
  • the membrane When the membrane is used to operate under pressure (Fig. 1), it is placed in communication with the pressure chamber (14), where the turbine (15) also sucks air through the filter (17), by creating a high pressure in this chamber which acts on the membrane (1), which comes into contact with the detector (11), which is automatically connected.
