Definitions

  • the invention relates to a kit with the features of the preamble of claim 1, that is, to a plurality of coordinated profiles that can be assembled into windows or doors.
  • the profiles preferably consist of plastic profiles that are produced by extrusion.
  • the invention can also be used for aluminum profiles.
  • a kit of the type described above is known from DE-A 2 704 808.
  • this kit is completed by a glass retaining strip of the appropriate width.
  • various glass retaining strips are provided.
  • This well-known kit is specially designed for the creation of new windows. Later retrofitting in such a way that, for example, single glazing is replaced by insulating glazing, is possible if the relevant glass retaining strip is still available at this time. The glass retaining strips previously used on the kit then cease to exist.
  • US Pat. No. 4,525,966 also shows a kit with most of the features mentioned in the preamble of claim 1, but insulating glazing is used from the outset.
  • the main profile has an extension acting as a glass stop with a groove for receiving a seal and a glass retaining strip is provided which can be detachably connected to the main profile and which likewise carries a groove for receiving a seal.
  • the insulating glass pane is received between these two seals.
  • wedge-shaped strips can also be used, which are inserted into the gap between the outer surface of the pane and the extension on the main profile after the glass holding strip has been inserted on the side of the window facing the interior, and which are connected with a seal stand.
  • the invention has for its object to develop a kit of the type described in such a way that the respective window or door can be converted from a single glazing to another type of glass, for example insulating glazing, while maintaining the glass retaining strip.
  • the kit should allow dowel installation through the main profile of the frame without first removing single glazing (fixed glazing).
  • each supplementary profile has a groove formed by two legs and corresponding to the groove on the extension and the groove on the glass retaining strip, a detent web matching the grooves and a channel in the region of the one leg , and that the other leg is perpendicular to the locking web and is the same distance from a central plane defined by the locking web in all supplementary profiles.
  • This new kit has the advantage that one and the same glass retaining strip and the seals used can be used regardless of the type of glass and the thickness of the glass.
  • the supplementary profile is again designed so that it also has a groove for receiving a seal or a locking web, has a locking web with which it can be anchored to the extension of the main profile or the glass retaining strip.
  • the supplementary profile forms and has a channel, which serves to collect the condensed water. The holes can be drained to the outside through holes or openings in the supplementary profile, whereby further precautions must be taken in the main profile.
  • the supplementary profile or several of them are used on the side and in the upper area so that they complement the main profile as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.
  • the supplementary profile with its latching web and a latching widening arranged thereon can be reversibly inserted into the groove of the fixed extension or the groove of the glass retaining strip is particularly advantageous.
  • the function of the gutter to drain the water need only take over the supplementary profile in the lower area.
  • the supplementary profile is used to avoid attracting attention and to form a smooth transition to the main profile.
  • the two legs of the supplementary profile protruding from the locking web are at least on their outer side at different distances from the central plane, so that there is a groove in one relative position and an aligned transition in the other relative position.
  • the supplementary profile can thus be combined with other supplementary profiles for a wide variety of purposes.
  • One leg itself can also be channel-shaped, for example as a semicircular depression.
  • the channel can be formed by a web projecting outwards from the central plane in connection with the leg.
  • the outside of this leg is in the area of the lower spar of a window or a door lower than the comparable surface of the fixed extension or the glass retaining strip, so that the channel function is created in this way.
  • the web can have such an extent that it is supported on the main profile when used in reverse, so that the supplementary profile is held on the one hand by the latching widening but on the other hand is still supported by the web.
  • the other leg connects in reverse use with its outside to the surface of the extension of the main profile and / or to the surface of the glass retaining strip in alignment.
  • the corresponding dimensions of the extension, the glass holding strip and the supplementary profile are expediently arranged in one plane.
  • the supplementary profile can have a width of 6 and / or 8 or also 16 mm. A width of 12 mm can then be bridged by using two supplementary profiles of 6 mm. When using a supplementary profile of 6 mm and a supplementary profile of 8 mm, 14 mm are bridged, etc. Other widths are in accordance with the standard building glass or Insulating glass thicknesses possible.
  • the latching web expediently has a recess in the area of the latching widening which extends into the latching widening.
  • This serves the supplementary profile in the sense of the one inserting and removing from the groove of the extension or the glass retaining strip to make it particularly flexible.
  • FIG. 1 the lower spar of a fixed glazed frame is shown.
  • This has a main profile (1) which has a plurality of chambers and extensions and can therefore be produced particularly easily in the extrusion process.
  • a metal reinforcement profile (2) is inserted in the middle of this main profile (1).
  • the design of the main profile (1) in detail is known per se. It is also essential that this main profile (1) has a fixed extension (3) which acts as a glass stop, the main profile (1) being inserted in accordance with FIG. 1 in such a way that the extension (3) faces the inside, that is to say the room, located.
  • the extension (3) has a surface (4) and carries on its side facing the disc (5) a groove (6) which is suitable for holding different things.
  • the main profile includes a glass retaining strip (7) which can be detachably inserted into the main profile (1) or projections provided on it in a known manner.
  • the glass retaining strip (7) also has a groove (8) which is arranged facing the groove (6) of the fixed extension (3) and is coordinated with it.
  • a surface (9) can be arranged in alignment with or with the surface (4) of the fixed extension (3).
  • the kit also includes a supplementary profile (10), for which a first embodiment is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • This supplementary profile (10) has a groove (11) similar to the grooves (6) and (8) and two legs (12) and (13), which are connected to one another by a latching web (14), which has a latching widening (15 ) which is matched to the groove (6) (and the groove (8)).
  • a recess (16) connects in the area of the locking widening (15) from the inside and makes the supplementary profile flexible in this area.
  • the arrangement of the locking widening (15) and the recess (16) defines a horizontally running central plane (17), with respect to which the legs (12) and (13) are at different distances.
  • the distance between the leg (13) is greater than the distance between the leg (12), or the leg (12) is somewhat inclined, while the leg (13) is arranged parallel to the central plane (17).
  • the latching web (14) is extended to a freely projecting web (18), so that a water collecting channel is formed by the web (18) in connection with the leg (12).
  • the groove (8) of the glass retaining strip (7) receives a seal (19) and the groove (11) of the supplementary profile (10) a seal (20), both of which bear against the pane (5).
  • kit can also have profile pieces of a glazing bridge (21), but these parts are not absolutely necessary.
  • the pane (5) is shown here as a 4 mm thick construction glass pane in single glazing.
  • the problem of condensation occurs, ie with corresponding differences in the temperature between inside and outside and the associated air humidity, the water condenses on the inside and runs down the disc, via the seal (20) into the channel (12, 18) where it gathers.
  • the supplementary profile (10) is provided with bores or openings (22) which, according to the arrow, allow the water to flow into the area of the interior above the glazing bridges (21) or between these glazing bridges. At certain intervals, a rib (23) is milled off on the main profile (1).
  • FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the frame according to FIG. 1, but in the lateral and upper region, that is to say in a region in which the frame is usually fastened.
  • the seal (20) and the supplementary profile (10) are first removed, the Disc (5) remains in the frame.
  • the main profile (1) and the reinforcement profile (2) have bores (28) which are provided at a corresponding distance from one another and which are used for installing the dowels.
  • Such an already inserted dowel (29) with associated screw (30) is shown here.
  • the seal (20) and the supplementary profile (10) are removed, for example, in the area of the lateral spars, as a result of which the disc (5) through the supplementary profile (10) and the seal (20) in the area of the upper and lower spar is held.
  • the window is held and positioned in the reveal (27) so that the correct position of the dowel holes still to be drilled can be marked through the bore (28). These dowel holes are drilled after the window has been removed from the reveal.
  • the window is pushed back into the reveal (27) and the screws (30) are inserted along the washer (5) from the inside and screwed into the dowels (29), so that the frame receives its firm, proper fit.
  • the supplementary profile (10) with its latching widening (15) is reinserted into the groove (6) of the fixed extension (3), but now in comparison to FIG. 1 in this lateral or upper area in the opposite relative position, i.e. with the web ( 18) pointing inwards.
  • This relates to the area of the upper bar and the two side bars, while the supplementary profile (10) is used in the area of the lower bar, as shown in FIG. 1.
  • the seal (20) is attached. The seals and connections of the frame or the main profile to the reveal (27) are made.
  • Figures 3 and 4 show similar cross-sections as Figures 1 and 2, but using a slightly modified supplementary profile (10 '), which, however, corresponds in function to the supplementary profile (10) of Figures 1 and 2.
  • the section according to FIG. 4 again relates to the lateral and upper area, with the illustration of a dowel being omitted here. Otherwise, however, these two exemplary embodiments are the same.
  • the supplementary profile (10 ') is channel-shaped in the region of its one leg (12).
  • the outwardly projecting web (18) is missing.
  • the leg (13) is also at a greater distance from the central plane (17) than the web (12), its position relative to the central plane (17) being arranged such that its outer surface is flush with the surface (4) of the solid Extension (3) is aligned, as can be seen from Figure 4.
  • the supplementary profile (10 ') can be used in two relative positions, depending on the function it has to perform, as a comparison of FIGS. 3 and 4 shows.
  • the drainage according to Figure 3 is analogous to the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2.
  • FIG. 5 and 6 also represents fixed glazing using a simple pane (5) of building glass, but here the arrangement is such that the glass retaining strip (7) is arranged on the inside, while the fixed extension (3) on the outside is.
  • the disc (5) e.g. B. with a replacement after the destruction of a pane
  • the supplementary profile (10) which corresponds to the exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1 and 2, is inserted here into the glass retaining strip (7) or its groove (8). Instead, the groove (6) of the extension (3) receives the seal (19).
  • FIG. 5 again shows the area of the lower spar with the analog drainage
  • FIG. 6 shows the upper and lateral area of the frame.
  • Figure 7 shows a first window made of a frame and casement, so no fixed glazing.
  • a slightly modified main profile (1 ') is used in the area of the casement, but this also has a fixed extension (3) and to which a glass retaining strip (7) is assigned.
  • the supplementary profile (10) of the exemplary embodiments of FIGS. 1 and 2 and 5 and 6 is also shown here. It goes without saying that the supplementary profile (10 ') according to FIGS. 3 and 4 could of course also be used.
  • the frame is formed using a main profile (1) and has a reinforcement profile (2), while a reinforcement profile (2 ') is inserted in the sash frame in the main profile (1').
  • the drainage is also represented here by the arrow, a collecting channel being formed by the leg (12) and the web (18) of the supplementary profile (10), from which the water according to the arrow path through the main profiles (1 'and 1) is derived to the outside.
  • the casement opens outwards.
  • the supplementary profile (10) is used in the upper and lateral area when using the single glazing according to the pane (5) so that the web (18) is inserted inwards, i.e. facing the main profile (1 '), such as this z. B. also shows Figure 2.
  • FIG. 8 shows the conversion of the window according to FIG. 7 from single glazing with the pane (5) to an insulating pane (5 '), which is known to consist of two individual panes which are arranged and held at a distance from one another.
  • the supplementary profile (10) is no longer required here.
  • the seals (19) and (20) can be reused and are inserted into the grooves (8) and (6). The rest of the drainage is not harmful. Since there is no water on the inside of the insulating washer (5 '), the openings around the insulating washer (5') are vented or ventilated.
  • FIGS. 9 and 10 largely corresponds to the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 7, but instead of the supplementary profile (10), two supplementary profiles (10 ") are used, which are therefore of identical design and here have a width of 8 mm. It can be seen that the legs (12) and (13) on this supplementary profile (10 ") are arranged at different distances from the central plane (17), so that in this arrangement the legs (12) and the web (18) of the fixed extension (3) anchored supplements tion profile (10 ”) form a channel for receiving the water.
  • the two supplementary profiles (10") are prepared by different milling so that the water flow is possible according to the arrow. In the upper and side area, the supplementary profiles (10 ") are clipped and arranged in the same direction, as shown in FIG. 10.
  • FIGS. 11 and 12 show fixed glazing using the main profile (1) according to the exemplary embodiments of FIGS. 1 and 3, but with panes of different thicknesses (5 "and 5").
  • the disc (5 ") according to FIG. 11 is 6 mm thick, so that a first supplementary profile (taking into account the seals (19) and (20) takes into account the distance between the inner surface of the fixed extension (3) and the glass retaining strip (7) 10 ") with a width of 8 mm and a second supplementary profile (10") with a width of 6 mm.
  • the disc (5 ") according to FIG. 12 is 12 mm thick, so that only the supplementary profile (10") with a width of 8 mm.
