Definitions
- the invention relates to a heat exchanger, in particular for hot air generators operated with oil, gas or solid fuels.
- Heat exchangers are known in a wide variety of embodiments, but they often have the disadvantages of being heavy in weight and, above all, not adaptable to different performance requirements.
- the overall weight should also be reduced.
- the modular design of the heat exchanger according to the invention makes it possible to easily build the heat exchanger required for the respective device and having a specific output from similar parts. In a corresponding manner, it is also possible without problems, for example for cleaning purposes, to disconnect the individual modules, which results in optimal accessibility.
- Each pipe socket preferably consists of first and second pipe socket sections belonging to adjacent flat chamber modules, which are provided with connecting flanges at their free ends.
- Each module accordingly comprises, in addition to the preferably circular flat chamber, two pipe socket sections, which are attached diametrically offset on the opposite flat sides of the respective module, so that overall there is a mirror-symmetrical structure, which assembles any large number of heat exchangers by mirror-symmetrically swapping the individual modules can be put together.
- At least one baffle plate is preferably arranged in the flat chamber modules themselves, which deflects the flow path of the smoke or. Specifies hot gases between the two pipe socket sections, which form the entrance or exit of the respective flat chamber module.
- each flat chamber module is constructed from two identical shell halves which are welded to one another via the outer ring flanges.
- the connection of the individual Modules via clamping rings are not only favorable with regard to the assembly of the respective heat exchanger, but also have an advantageous effect on the operational reliability of the overall arrangement.
- a flat chamber module 1 consisting of a sheet metal construction, which is composed of two identical shell halves 11, 12. The two shell halves are welded together via outer ring flanges 13.
- Pipe socket sections 4, 5 are inserted diametrically offset from one another on the opposite sides of the flat chamber module 1 and are welded to the respective module wall or are flanged by means of a flanging tool. At their outer ends, the pipe socket sections 4, 5 are provided with connecting flanges 6, 7, which allow the mutual coupling of modules 1 in a manner to be described in more detail.
- baffle plate 10 In the interior of the module, a baffle plate 10 is provided which is arranged in the middle and, in the case of larger modules, eccentrically and extends over the entire module height and is fixed by welding.
- the baffle plate 10 runs approximately according to a common tangent to the pipe socket sections 4, 5. This baffle plate 10 ensures a defined course of the hot gas flow within each module 1 and prevents hot gases from flowing directly from the inlet side to Exit side of the respective module.
- the diameter of the pipe socket sections 4, 5 corresponds approximately to the radius of the flat chamber module 1, as a result of which the mechanical strength of a heat exchanger constructed from such modules is optimized while at the same time ensuring the best possible function.
- FIG. 3 shows, in connection with a schematically illustrated hot air generator 15, a heat exchanger constructed from a plurality of flat chamber modules 1.
- the modules 1, which are arranged alternately rotated by 180 ° about their central plane, are connected to one another via pipe sockets 2, 3, which are viewed over the height of the heat exchanger are alternately offset in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the hot air generator.
- the pipe sockets 2 and 3 consist - as can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2 - of two pipe socket sections 4, 5, which are coupled stably and smoke-tight via their flanges by means of clamping rings 8.
- a graphite cord 9 or a heat-resistant sealing compound is preferably inserted between the clamping rings to ensure absolute smoke tightness. It is also possible to insert sealing rings between the pipe socket sections 4, 5.
- Support elements 14 are provided between successive modules 1 in the area in which there is no pipe socket 2 or 3 at the moment. These support elements 14 can consist of hexagon screws, but all conceivable other embodiments of support elements can also be used here.
- connection of the heat exchanger as a unit to the respective smoke or hot gas generating arrangement can - as shown in Fig. 3 - also take place via connecting flanges and clamping rings 8.
- the front view according to FIG. 4 reveals the symmetrical structure of the heat exchanger from four flat chamber modules which are alternately placed on top of one another and connected to one another by clamping rings. Support elements 14 arranged symmetrically stabilize the overall arrangement. Since the connection of the individual modules via the clamping rings 8 is particularly easy to manufacture and to solve, modules can be removed or exchanged individually or in groups without problems and accordingly can also be cleaned particularly easily.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 eine schematische Seitenansicht eines Flachkammermoduls,
- Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht des Flachkammermoduls nach Fig. 1,
- Fig. 4 eine Vorderansicht der Anordnung nach Fig. 3.
