Es werden deshalb bis heute in der Praxis nahezu durchweg Zungennadeln eingesetzt, bei denen die Nadelzunge mit ihrer Lagerbohrung auf zwei aus dem Material der Nadelschaftwangen herausgedrückten Lagerzapfen schwenkbar gelagert ist (US-PS 3,934,109; GB-PS 836 297).
