Description

The invention relates to a device for covering or uncovering a surface, in particular a large surface, by means of a cover.

When it comes to covering large flat surfaces such as a tennis court, an appropriate blanket or tarpaulin is deployed by hand on this surface. Most generally, this operation is carried out by hand. Due to the large surface area to be covered and the weight of the cover, this is always a delicate operation.

For these curved surfaces, systems were then proposed using cables and pulleys connected to motors to advance or retract the cover (see for example FR-A-2 398 155). However, as a result of differential movements between each end of the cover, the system has the annoying tendency to coincide after several movements. In this way, these systems have hardly developed until now.

When the cover is rigid, as is for example the case of a blind, it is further limited in width.

In document CH-A-372 805, a device has been described for actuating (opening or closing) a curtain along a rigid rigid horizontal rod, by means of a motor, and this, by means of a helical screw which freely and coaxially surrounds the support rod and one end of which is connected to the drive member, and by means of a hollow cylindrical sleeve coaxial with the rod and the helical screw, the internal diameter of which is greater than the external diameter of the helical screw. This arrangement is well suited for the operation of curtains, but is not suitable for large areas or when the rods are curved.

The invention overcomes these drawbacks. It relates to a device intended to cover or discover a surface, in particular a large surface, by means of a flexible or rigid cover which is easy to construct, reliable and allows to ensure perfect coverage of the surface to be covered.

  • - au moins une tige support rigide fixe, disposée au voisinage de cette surface;
  • - un organe moteur;
  • - une vis hélicoïdale qui entoure librement et coaxialement la tige support et dont une extrémité est connectée à l'organe moteur;
  • - un moyen relié à ladite couverture à déployer (ou à replier), apte à coulisser le long de ladite tige support, constitué par un manchon cylindrique creux coaxial à ladite tige support et à la vis hélicoïdale, dont le diamètre interne est supérieur au diamètre externe de la vis hélicoïdale;
    se caractérise en ce que ledit manchon présente, dans une section transversale radiale, un axe rigide disposé selon une corde et décalé par rapport au centre dudit manchon, ledit axe rigide étant prisonnier entre la tige support et ladite vis hélicoïdale coaxiale, de manière à pouvoir coulisser le long de cette vis.
This device for covering (or discovering) a surface by means of a cover, of the type comprising:
  • - at least one fixed rigid support rod, disposed in the vicinity of this surface;
  • - a driving organ;
  • - a helical screw which freely and coaxially surrounds the support rod and one end of which is connected to the drive member;
  • a means connected to said cover to be deployed (or to be folded), capable of sliding along said support rod, constituted by a hollow cylindrical sleeve coaxial with said support rod and with the helical screw, the internal diameter of which is greater than the diameter external of the helical screw;
    is characterized in that said sleeve has, in a radial cross section, a rigid axis disposed along a cord and offset from the center of said sleeve, said rigid axis being trapped between the support rod and said coaxial helical screw, so as to be able slide along this screw.

Avantageusement, en pratique:

  • - l'ensemble comporte une pluralité de tiges support parallèles qui sont planes si la surface à recouvrir est plane et qui sont courbes si cette surface est courbe;
  • - le pas hélicoïdal de la vis est compris entre 0,1 et dix fois le diamètre extérieur de cette vis et le diamètre du tore constituant cette vis, réalisée notamment en acier, est compris entre 0,05 et 0, fois celui du diamètre extérieur de cette vis;
  • - le pas de la vis hélicoïdale peut être régulier ou progressif;
  • - dans une première forme de réalisation simplifiée, l'organe moteur est constitué par un ensemble mécanique comportant une manivelle et des renvois d'angle et un arbre de sortie sur lequel est fixée l'extrémité de la vis hélicoïdale; ainsi, à l'instar d'un volet dépliant, en faisant tourner la manivelle, on entraîne en rotation l'extrémité de la vis hélocoïdale et par la même, le manchon se déplace le long de cette vis, donc de la tige support, en entraînant ainsi l'extrémité de la couverture;
  • - dans une forme de réalisation automatisable, l'organe moteur est constitué par un moteur motoréducteur sur l'axe de sortie duquel est fixée l'extrémité de la vis hélicoïdale;
  • - avantageusement, l'arbre de sortie de l'organe moteur est solidaire d'un embout disposé coaxialement à l'intérieur de la vis et dans lequel est emmanchée l'extrémité de cette vis, ledit embout comportant un alésage central dans lequel repose l'extrémité de la tige support montée folle dans cet embout;
  • - la couverture est constituée par une seule pièce dont deux sommets disposés du même côté sont fixés chacun à un manchon coaxial coulissant sur des vis hélicoïdales parallèles espacées de la longueur de ce côté;
  • - la couverture est formée de deux pièces souples disposées à chacune des extrémités de la tige support, les sommets de chacune de ces deux pièces disposés du même côté, étant fixés chacun à un manchon coaxial coulissant sur deux vis hélicoïdales parallèles espacées de la longueur de ce côté, le pas de vis de chaque vis hélicoïdale étant inversé par rapport à l'endroit où se rejoignent les deux pièces souples;
Advantageously, in practice:
  • - The assembly includes a plurality of parallel support rods which are planar if the surface to be covered is planar and which are curved if this surface is curved;
  • - the helical pitch of the screw is between 0.1 and ten times the outside diameter of this screw and the diameter of the torus constituting this screw, made in particular of steel, is between 0.05 and 0, times that of the outside diameter of this screw;
  • - the pitch of the helical screw can be regular or progressive;
  • - In a first simplified embodiment, the drive member is constituted by a mechanical assembly comprising a crank and angle references and an output shaft on which the end of the helical screw is fixed; thus, like a folding shutter, by rotating the crank, the end of the helical screw is rotated and by the same, the sleeve moves along this screw, therefore of the support rod, thereby driving the end of the cover;
  • - In an automatizable embodiment, the drive member is constituted by a geared motor on the outlet axis from which the end of the helical screw is fixed;
  • advantageously, the output shaft of the drive member is secured to a nozzle disposed coaxially inside the screw and in which the end of this screw is fitted, said nozzle comprising a central bore in which the end of the support rod mounted idly in this end piece;
  • - The cover consists of a single piece, two vertices arranged on the same side are each fixed to a coaxial sleeve sliding on parallel helical screws spaced along the length of this side;
  • - The cover is formed by two flexible parts arranged at each end of the support rod, the tops of each of these two parts arranged on the same side, being each fixed to a coaxial sleeve sliding on two parallel helical screws spaced the length of this side, the pitch of each helical screw being reversed with respect to the place where the two flexible parts meet;
  • - the cover is rigid and two of its vertices located on the same side are each fixed to a sliding sleeve on the same helical screw.

The manner in which the invention can be implemented and the advantages which result therefrom will emerge more clearly from the following exemplary embodiments, given by way of indication but not limitation, in support of the appended figures.

Figure 1 is a simplified embodiment of the invention, suitable for a rigid cover such as for example a curtain.

Figure 2 shows a detail of the characteristic sleeve of the invention while Figure 3 is a sectional view of the same sleeve.

La figure 4 est une représentation en coupe schématique d'un dispositif conforme à l'invention pour recouvrir une surface courbe, telle qu'une halle de sports, voire une serre; les figures 5 et 6 représentent ce même ensemble respectivement en position ouverte (figure 5) et en position totalement fermée (figure 6).Figure 4 is a schematic sectional representation of a device according to the invention for covering a curved surface, such as a sports hall, or even a greenhouse; Figures 5 and 6 show the same set respectively in position open (Figure 5) and in the fully closed position (Figure 6).

Figure 7 is another embodiment according to Figure 4 wherein the surface is covered by a cover in two flexible parts.

Figures 9 and 10 show another embodiment of the invention for covering vertical walls, such as walls, windows or the like.

In a simplified embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 1, the assembly includes a crank (1) which actuates a bevel gear (2) whose output shaft (3) is fitted on a nozzle ( 4). On this end piece (4), is fixed the end (5) of a helical screw (6) which surrounds a rigid rod (7) of which one end (8) is mounted idly in a bore (9) provided for this effect in the nozzle (4) and the other end (10) of which is also mounted loose in an orifice (11) provided for this purpose in a wall (12). A coaxial sleeve (13) slides on the characteristic helical screw (6), for example in a cylindrical PVC tube whose internal diameter is slightly greater than the external diameter of the screw (6). This sleeve (13) has at its center a rigid axis (14), fixed by two bolts (15, 16), off-center with respect to the center of the sleeve (13) like a cord. On the nut (15) and its counterpart (15 '), are fixed the two sides (17, 18) of a curtain (19) to be deployed, for example in front of a window. When the crank (1) is actuated in the direction indicated by the arrow, the end piece (4) is rotated, which consequently turns the screw (6) around the support rod (7). In this rotational movement of the screw (6) on itself, the axes (14, 14 ') slide along the screw (6) and thus cause the advancement of the sleeve (13) and its counterpart (13 '). Thus, the curtain which is for example rigid is moved from a first position to a second position and vice versa as indicated by the arrows.

In the second embodiment shown in Figures 4, 5 and 6, the surface to be covered is curved. In this way, the support rod (20) is curved and the helical screw (21) follows the shape of this rod. In the same way, the cover to be deployed (22) formed in a single flexible part, is fixed to the sleeve (13) and the end of the screw (21) secured to the end piece (24) is actuated by an electric motor. (25). Figure 5 shows the cover (22) fully folded, while in Figure 4 this same cover covers only half this surface, and finally in Figure 6 the entire surface.

By way of example, in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4, 5 and 6, an area five meters wide and one meter eighty high has been covered which can constitute a shelter. In this embodiment, the support rod (20) consists of a steel bar fifteen millimeters in diameter. The helical screw (21) has an outside diameter of forty millimeters and a pitch also of forty millimeters; this screw is produced in a five-millimeter cylindrical steel torus. The sliding sleeve (13) is produced in a PVC tube whose internal diameter is fifty three millimeters and whose length is twenty centimeters. The characteristic rigid axis (14) has a diameter of six millimeters and is offset by fifteen millimeters.

In the variant shown in Figure 7, the cover is formed in two parts respectively (26) and (27) disposed on each side of the curved support rod (20). The end of each of these parts (26) and (27) is connected to a sleeve (13) and (13 '). In this embodiment, the screw pitch of the helical screw (21) is reversed in the part on the left relative to the screw pitch on the right.

Un moteur (37) commande un arbre (38) et par les renvois (33, 34) les vis hélicoïdales caractéristiques (35, 36).FIG. 8 represents a more complex embodiment of the invention intended to cover the beams (30) of a sports hall. Here, as in Figure 7, the cover is formed in two parts (31, 32) deployed on each side to meet in the center in the vicinity of the bevel gear (33, 34), the thread of the helical screw (35) being reversed with respect to the pitch of the screw (36). A motor (37) drives a shaft (38) and by the references (33, 34) the characteristic helical screws (35, 36).

In the embodiments shown in Figures 9 and 10, the device according to the invention is intended to cover a vertical surface, such as for example a window or a wall. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 9, a single electric motor, for example a geared motor (40), drives a control shaft (41) which actuates bevel gears (42, 43, 44, 45) which, at in turn, drive the end pieces (46, 47, 48, 49) on which are fixed the ends of a plurality of vertical helical springs (50, 51, 52, 53) coaxial with rigid rods not shown. In this embodiment, the characteristic rigid axis is simply placed between the support rod and the helical screw, so that there is no need to use a sleeve.

On the other hand, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 10, the cover consists of two flexible panels (60, 61) which, as the case may be, approach or move away.

The device according to the invention has many advantages over those known to date since it is easy to build, easy to operate, reliable, and since it makes it possible to cover either by means of flexible or rigid covers.

In this way, it can be advantageously used to cover large flat or curved surfaces, such as tennis courts, sports halls, hangars, shelters, swimming pools, temporary buildings for industrial use, for storage use. , for agricultural use such as for example greenhouses, etc.
